Posted: 12 Aug 2018 05:53 AM PDT I once made a post here about Touch ID not working well for my mother, and it turned out that she was partially swiping on the sensor. She's become better at using Touch ID but her tendency to swipe is still there, so if all these rumors about a cheaper LCD iPhone with Face ID turn out to be true, I'm going to get her that and take her current iPhone 8. | It is time that Apple needs to split the Music app Posted: 12 Aug 2018 12:05 AM PDT The whole streaming and Apple Music and other services being forced into the Music app has gotten to the point where it is a nightmare to use or manage anymore. It is now to a point where it does whatever it wants to and does not respect how it is set in iTunes. I have an albums purchased though Apple that show up as separate albums because I made a change to the way it displays. So now if I want to shuffle that album it is impossible. If I open that album it shows few tracks and clicking more just sends me to buy a Apple Music subscription. Apple really needs to have a straight forward music app without all of this useless (to me) integration from other services. [link] [comments]  | ||

I can easily just give him my icloud password and change it afterwards, but I'd rather not do that. I don't want to combine our accounts or anything, I just want to be able to buy the phone for her and be able to activate it on her AT&T account and I am just wondering how much of her information I will need when I go to buy the phone for her. Do I need her apple ID and password, I assume I need her phone number, what about her old iPhone so we can change her sim card, etc. Or could I buy the phone without that information, then go back into the store another time with her to et it all up? | Verizon carrier locked Iphone SE Posted: 12 Aug 2018 07:46 AM PDT So I purchased a sealed in the box, never activated IPhone SE last night from a guy on Facebook Marketplace. I tried to pop in my AT&T SIM card but it gave me a carrier lock error. I tried to call Verizon and AppleCare to try to resolve the issue and see if I can get it unlocked. Eventually Verizon gave me the solution of needing to activate the phone on Verizon before they can unlock it. Has anyone ever heard of needing to do this? One week into using the s8 and I'm really not sure I like it. I mean it's an amazing looking phone but I just miss IOS so much, the emojis, imessage. Also, the design of the s8 is rather inconvenient, especially the curved edges. So I was thinking of switching to the iphone 7. Anyone else had a similar problem and decided to switch back to iphone?
