    Hi all,

    I'm an ios developer and i'm currently struggling with myself to weather should or shouldn't I update my OS (on phone and mac).

    I've another windows pc along with my personal macbook and also my macbook at work so this is not my main computer per se, but i value it a lot and i dont want to be left with a brick. My phone on other hamd is the only one i've and its my main.

    Im not afraid of ui bugs but, more of not being able to use the devices at all. I'm also very interested in the new features.

    Its my first time trying out the betas. So please some words of advice.

    Does it worth it? Will I be able of keep developing in that macbook after updating?

    [Question] Restoring iPhone back-up without space to restore.

    I installed iOS 12 beta yesterday, and it works fine but not for all the apps I need. I created a restore file of phone, but wasn't expecting the huge amount of storage space that iOS 12 would occupy on my phone (currently about 20 GB of "Other" storage.

    Now when I try to restore my phone to the backup I made of iOS 11, I'm receiving a prompt that I don't have enough free space to restore. Is there a way to free up the space occupied by iOS 12, or am I going to need to delete items on my phone until enough space is cleared? I've deleted about 20gb of free space and am still receiving "not enough space" prompts. Thanks.

    [Bug] iOS 12 public beta 3 wifi connectivity issues

    Anybody else still having horrible wifi connectivity issues on both 2.4 and 5 ghz? It'll stay hooked up while actively using it, but as soon as the phone goes to sleep it reverts back to LTE. Any way to correct this or is this a bug I'll have to live with until public beta 4 hopefully fixes it.

    [Question] Battery totals vs. Averages?

    So every time I check the new battery I am frustrated because I only see averages when I want to see totals. Maybe I'm missing it, but can you see for example the total screen on time since last full charge? Or usage total? I realize I can see last 24hrs but on my iPad for example it isn't helpful because I use it beyond that time period.

    I've already reported this to Apple via the feedback app. But is anyone having Do not Disturb crash? Both from the Settings app and control center after a 3D touch on the DnD icon and tapping "schedule"?

    Audio plays fine but no display onscreen whatsoever. I can switch on my Pioneer to AppRadio mode and the display and controls function as they should but nothing on CarPlay.

    [Bug] Audio stops when screen recording?

    Whenever I start screen recording any audio from videos or music that is playing is muted. I don't remember this happening with iOS 11. The second recording stops the music resumes. Anyone else experiencing this?

    [Question] software-related question about beta to stable iOS updates

    Had a quick question for anyone in the know about these things. As I understand it, the final beta release iOS version is the same as the actual final public release. What's the consensus on wiping the iPhone and restoring from the final release so as to have a cleaner install and, hopefully, better performance? Just thinking ahead a bit. Is there any point to doing so, i.e., are there any beta software remnants after each update from previous versions that might cause issues? Thanks in advance.
