| Waiting for the new iPad Pro in September. Posted: 06 Jun 2018 12:51 PM PDT I was thinking of buying the iPad Pro 12.9 but waited to see if they would announce the new one this past week. It turns out that they will hold it off for the September releases. I am a digital artist and I have a Wacom Cintiq 13HD but I find that I could be much more productive if I am not tethered to the desk all the time while I draw since I have really bad back problems. I am thinking that buying an iPad Pro will help me draw more and from what I see around the internet it is the perfect tablet for digital art. Now I am not sure if I should just buy one now or wait a couple of months. Any thoughts? [link] [comments]  | ||

When I connect my iPad to my PC iTunes tells me I have 4GB of Documents and Data on the iPad. I went though all the usual process of figuring out what this is. The app with the most stuff is music...with 7GB. every other app shoes less than 250 mb and that is just the app. Media totals seem fine as do the app totals. | [Question] Apple Notes convert to PDF issue Posted: 06 Jun 2018 08:20 AM PDT Hi, I am having an issue converting notes to PDF in Apple's Notes app (iOS 11.3.1 - iPad Pro 10.5") When converting notes which only contain text, it works fine. However, when converting notes which contain multiple images and text: the option to 'convert to pdf' only selects the first image to convert to PDF. This is strange as the rest of the content in the note is ignored! (the other images and text are not part of the export) Is anyone else having the same issue? Perhaps the best solution is to 'Print to PDF' - does anyone recommend any apps to do this? [link] [comments]  | ||

Here's my setup: Ipad + Lightning to USB + Wired keyboard. This keyboard works normally with PC & Android phone (via a USB to micro USB adapter). I've read somewhere that, since ios 11, Apple doesn't allow wired keyboard to connect this way anymore, and one should try the Lightning to USB 3 (not 2) adapter. Is that true? Thank you so much. | Question about Smart Keyboard and Writing Posted: 06 Jun 2018 05:38 AM PDT Hi All: Going to try to word this the best way possible. I think I am going to buy the 12.9 IPP (can't wait really due to university), and I love the idea of the Smart Keyboard for typing, and the Apple Pencil for writing my notes. I went and played around with the IPP today with a Smart Keyboard on it, and I could not really get a good angle for writing like you can get with a smart keyboard (the case peeled back and the iPad at a down angle for writing is my favorite). My thought is to get the smart keyboard and a back cover if that angle is achievable and not a pain, or just get a smart cover, a back cover, and then the Anker $30 keyboard? Pic in question basically says that a password reset has been sent to an e-mail, which she does not seem to have access too and is of a six-letter e-mail domain beginning with the letter A. I personally don't know of any such e-mail domain off the top of my head... Has her apple ID or login been "hacked"? And what can be done to restore the iPad? Any insight would be appreciated. I was originally intending to never update it, because of the performance drops in iOS 11 (an the new design/workflow, which I dislike), but I wonder if iOS 12 will be enough of a fix that I won't feel a difference from 10 to 12? | Posted: 05 Jun 2018 11:11 PM PDT Starting today, my ipad (3rd generation), starts jumping off wifi, but only when streaming for example youtube. It plays the video for maybe 10 minutes or less, and then jumps off. (Wifi is still connected to every other device i have) I can go in to wifi settings and press the wifi, and it logs in automatic. I've tried the normal solutions, restart router, ipad, renew lease and so on. But no solution. Hope you can help! [link] [comments]  | ||

| Posted: 05 Jun 2018 03:52 PM PDT So my in laws 3 year old iPad suddenly stopped working last week and wouldn't turn on. They swear they never dropped it and it was charged. Tried a bunch of things: -holding power and home buttons -charged overnight twice with separate wall charge adapters -plugged into iTunes in hopes of a reboot Nothing worked so off to the Genius Bar. They plugged it into a "special MacBook" and it magically turned on. The lady ran a diagnostic test and it literally said the iPad was a "dead unit" for which she explained was a motherboard failure. So she offered $20 for it towards a new iPad. We asked if it was the battery and she said no. Apparently her special MacBook had the ability to super charge it to full in minutes. (What?) Anyway. We said no to the $20. Took the dead unit home and plugged it into the wall while it was still on. It's continues to charge now and all the apps work so I'm not sure how it's a motherboard failure? I downloaded a battery app and it says 28% battery wear and to replace battery. So did we get an uninformed genius or is Apple trying to con us into buying a new iPad? I want to believe the first as I've had nothing but positive experience with all my Apple gear. Anyone else have similar issues as I'm still unsure what happened. PS. Any cheap options to replace battery or is this Apple only. Thanks for listening. [link] [comments]  |
