    [Discussion] Testing wanted for LaunchInSafeMode for iOS 11

    Hi, I'm the developer of LaunchInSafeMode. I haven't had a device jailbroken on iOS 11 for some time, and was unable to test any changes i would've made.

    Looking over iOS 11 apis however, it seems that no methods I used were removed, and therefore the tweak should have worked, but didn't because I had implemented version checks. I have removed the version checks, and I would appreciate if anyone could test the tweak out:

    [Question] Has there always been drama like this regarding upcoming jailbreaks?

    I've been jailbreaking for years now but have only started looking into what the community is like. I have always just watched YouTube updates and tutorials when the jailbreak would come out, but now that I updated to 11.3.1, I wanted more in depth news and have seen so much drama lately (angry developers, rivalries between devs, eta bois, among other things) Has it always been like this?

    [Question] Unhiding the stock Weather app on iPad?

    The stock Weather app is great and I use it almost everyday on my iPhone. I just don't understand why they have the weather widget in iPad but not the app? I want to set it to another city other than where I'm living, but I just can't :( Thanks in advance.

    Since Skrew isn't going to update vwallpaper for iOS 11, are there any alternatives for iOS 11? I'm aware of pokegols, weatherlock and dynamic iPhone x wallpapers but it's nothing as good as compared to vwallpaper.

    What are some ways to limit power consumption as much as possible? (To be clear I'm not looking for a ready-made tweak here, unless one exists which I am unaware of.)

    Of course using the stock LPM is already a big step, entering airplane mode, etc. I've also seen a mention of throttling the CPU/GPU manually by editing the .plist files. Any other steps like this to save as much power as possible?

    EDIT: The only thing I would actually need access to during this would be the camera, everything else could be essentially fully disabled as long as it's not too hard to undo when I no longer need to save it.

    [Discussion] Do not update 64 bit devices that are on iOS 7/8.

    Due to the lack of KPP on iOS 7/8, there is kloader64 which could allow dual booting to another iOS version, which does not work on iOS 9+. For iOS 7/8 devices, the only obstacle that prevents dual booting is SEP.

    Although you may not regret updating yet, but if a CoolBooter-like tool comes out in the future and it only works on iOS 7/8, you WILL regret updating from iOS 7/8.

    TL;DR: Do not update to iOS 11, or any newer firmware if you are on iOS 7/8 because there is no KPP on those versions, and it may one day become possible to dual boot to a newer firmware.

    As the title says I'm using a headphone /charger splitter so I could listen to music and charge at the same time , this worked in 10.1.1,flawlessly. Now on 11.1.2 no dice. It WILL charge BUT can't listen to music it comes externally through the phone. What I've tried : all 4 flex patches , support the unsupported, support unsupported accessories8 AND unauthorized lighting cable enabler. NOTHING WORKS. There used to be a file path in Ifile or Filza that you could change a Boolean string and that was it problem solved However I don't remember from Yalu 10.1.1 Any help or anyone willing to take this on would be great I'd be willing to pay no problem or if anyone can give me any advice it would be so appreciated I refuse to buy another adapter especially when it's mfi there should be zero issues , so 2 mfi , 2 not with no luck . This only started with iOS 11. Thank you guys !

    [Help] Accidentally started installation of IOS 11.4

    Today I pressed "Install IOS 11.4" on my IOS 10.3.3 jailbroken device. The installation screen appeared and I quickly put my device in recovery mode. It is still in recovery mode now. My device is an iPhone 6+.

    What are my options? Can I save my jailbreak?

    [Question] Houdini b3r1 how to select multi_path method instead of vfs in Xcode?

    I'm new to Xcode, I managed to compile it successfully when b3 was released with just multi_path but ever since b3r1 added vfs, it always automatically selects the empty_list method even though it gets compiled with my dev account

    UPDATE

    Tried editing some stuff in Strategy_control.m and managed to get Houdini to select the multi_path strategy instead of empty_list but for some reason the exploit always fails after the second mptcp stage.
