Just the directTV now bundle w the Apple TV, have a few questions Posted: 28 Jun 2018 02:59 PM PDT Why it direct tv making me log in nearly every time? From the menu (or the direct tv menu) I'm unable to access HBO (which I was able to open the second day I'd had the Apple TV. Ideas? Anyone with these issues? [link] [comments]
Purchased SD content from iTunes - which version is Apple TV 4k playing? Posted: 28 Jun 2018 02:02 PM PDT Back in my cheaper days, I would often buy SD content on iTunes instead of HD due to the cost difference. When I go to watch that on my AppleTV 4k now, within the TV app it says that it will play an HD version even though I only purchased the SD version. Is there any way to tell for sure which version it ends up playing? I'm not opposed to buying content again to ensure that I'm getting the highest quality possible, but if it's pulling the HD version anyway, maybe there's no point (and I know it is all getting exported at 4k anyway, I would just rather it convert from HD instead of from SD). Using iPhone Hotspot With ATV & AirPlay, and how it shows on AT&T Data? Posted: 28 Jun 2018 06:25 AM PDT Hello, I'm curious if anyone knows the answer to this. I do not have internet at home & currently use my iPhone hotspot for my laptop, streaming, etc. I have AT&T and I'm thinking about switching to an unlimited data plan, however the plan I would be going to has a mobile hotspot limit of 15gb per device. My question is... if I am using my iPhone Hotspot to connect the Apple TV to my iPhone WiFi, and I steam Netflix on my iPhone & use AirPlay mirroring to play it from my phone onto the Apple TV, would this use just Mobile data since it's streaming from the device itself & not from the Apple TV? Or would it actually use the mobile hotspot data? [link] [comments]
