    It's working amazingly well for a first public beta. It will probably get even better. I see no problems comparing it to 11.4, except a few minor little glitches here and there, which are reasonable.

    Can't add Gmail to Mail. Losing my mind.

    Settings > Mail > Accounts > Add Account > [insert username, then password, then press Next]

    And then it shoots me back to Accounts. Gmail appears nowhere. Not on the Accounts page and not in the Mail app.

    IMAP is on.

    Checking my devices on the google Accounts page shows that I am accessing gmail with my phone. The location is correct.

    I do not use 2 step verification.

    No Audio Feedback with Siri?

    Hi – I feel really silly asking this. When I ask Siri a question, I see the on-screen response, but Siri no longer speaks to me (no audio feedback). Yes, the volume is up (I hear other things) and Voice Feedback under Siri & Search Settings is set to "Always" ...

    I did recently update to the Beta version of iOS 12, and I'm not sure if this was an issue with iOS 11 or not. Is anyone else having this issue with the new OS?

    Any ideas?

    I need help turning off find my iPhone on my phone that is terribly broken.

    I'm trying to get my Verizon insurance claim on my 7+ and they're telling me to turn off find my iPhone, but the problem is my touchscreen is so fucked I can't even swipe on it. Any idea how I can turn it off remotely?

    Free space on iPhone 5 and iOS 11.3.1

    I have a 32 gig iPhone 5.

    How much free space do I need to have to keep it from removing data from apps? I've been trying to keep 4-5 gigs free, which is ludicrous to me (Just market it as a 27 or 28 gig phone and don't give me that false hope of using as much as I can).

    Even with that much free, data is getting deleted from my apps anyway. My understanding is there's no way to keep my phone from auto-cleaning data in apps - so the question is how much do I need to keep free to keep it from cleaning?

    Sudden 6 gig space after updating from ios to ios 11 today. Anyone know why?

    from ios 10.3 * to ios 11.3

    I always monitor how much space I use and yesterday I used up about 14 gigs of space for text messages alone( I know I am a hoarder, yes) and I also try not to update ios unless I have to. Today I went from ios 10 to 11 and now storage shows my text space is down to 8 gigs. What happened to the 6 gigs? Did some stuff get deleted or are they using some compression stuff now?

    iPod Touch - how to send "messages" to an Android Phone

    My son recently got an iPod Touch as a gift. Many people we know have iPhones so they all have iMessage and he's able to text or message them.

    What are my options?

    We both want a solution where we can "Facetime" also not just message back and forth. I thought maybe WhatsApp since I use it but I don't see a way around verifying a phone number on his end being he doesn't have a phone. We don't want to jailbreak.

    Any options for all in one? Messaging and video calls.

    iPhone As Backup Data Drive

    Given that iPhones now ship with up to 256 GB of storage, it would make sense to use an iPhone as an external storage drive, and many apps make this easier, such as webdav options in Documents and in VLC. I've used these for storing video projects, homework, and my resume before.

    Large files are still difficult to move though. I want to store a backup of my music library (30+ GB) on my phone in the event that something happens to my desktop, but moving so many files (or alternatively one large compressed file) is difficult. iTunes and the music app don't solve this because there is no way to pull songs from the device to a secondary computer. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've tried using the above mentioned apps but they struggle with large files, at least in the methods I've tried.

    Ideally I'd like to find an option that can be regularly updated as well, allowing new files to be added into the old backup folder as needed instead of redoing a large file transfer repeatedly.
