[Discussion] TweakCompatible's possible dead future Posted: 31 May 2018 06:26 PM PDT Hey all, So I've been jailbreaking since iOS 3, and app compatibility has always been a nuisance, so I wrote tweakCompatible to help identify what jailbreak tweaks work on newer iOS versions. It's not a tweak review site. The response has been largely positive, except from other devs and the mods here. I don't want create drama by going into details, but it really feels like the community doesn't want my contributions. I understand that the site isn't perfect, but it's so much better than what we had. Yet instead of being embraced, it's gets torn apart. I spent a lot of time writing it, and I don't run ads or anything, and it's fully open source, so it feels shitty being shunned. So now with the new jailbreak coming, I'm at a cross road and I'm not sure if I want to do this anymore. I think the mods dislike my site because people sometimes submit pirate tweaks, or because there are some false positive submissions. If these things are reported I'll fix them, but they are hardly reported. Also, I offered to add moderators and moderation tools, but no one actually participates, or they tear it apart without offering suggestions. So, if the r/jailbreak mods can give me some constructive feedback to get the site embraced fully, I'll consider making the changes, but otherwise it might become vapor ware, and the only people to suffer are the users.. me and you. Sorry for the ultimatum and drama, but my time isn't free and I wont spend hours working on a free website to have it shunned. Thanks for reading [link] [comments]

Posted: 31 May 2018 09:08 PM PDT I was 1 of 10 chosen by Cokepokes. He sent 10 people the beta, and 7 of them and I communicate and none of us have had any problems or bans. We've been using it for 5 days now. I have no idea about a release, or anything with dates so please don't ask. I just wanted to make this so people know he is serious and he does have a working beta for the latest version of Snapchat, and it will be out, just be patient. Not all features are included in this beta, but most of the main features work, such as saving images and videos. Also, fuck Unlimapps. Here's a few screenshots. As you can see the upload from camera roll button, and the save image or video icon in the bottom right corner. https://m.imgur.com/a/KxuSPCY [link] [comments]

[Release] PowerModule - Group different utility actions into one control center module Posted: 31 May 2018 11:21 AM PDT I'm sure many of you remember this concept by u/THE_PINPAL614, well, it's finally become a reality. PowerModule is now up on Auxilium's repo and you can grab it for free! PowerModule is open-source as it's the first tweak to make a fully customizable control center module (not just a toggle or button) and there are detailed instructions for creating similar tweaks available on my github. Credits: @Muirey03 - For making the tweak. u/thecoderkiller - For making the icons (for EzCC). u/opa334 - For making CCSupport and for helping me disassemble the Connectivity Module. The Auxilium Team - For allowing me to use their repo and for helping me with some things I was stuck on. If you have any questions to ask me, feel free to message me here or on The Auxilium Discord PS. This is my first tweak so I hope you like it :) [link] [comments]
[Release] 9SysSounds - Bring back the old typing and lock sounds from iOS 8/9 to iOS 10/11! Posted: 31 May 2018 07:34 AM PDT NOTE: IF YOU ARE HAVING ISSUES WITH SOUNDS NOT WORKING AFTER REMOVING THIS TWEAK, DOWNLOAD AND EXTRACT THESE 3 FILES TO /System/Library/Audio/UISounds. UPDATE: I now have a tweak on my repo that combines this tweak as well as adding the function for iOS 8/9 banners on iOS 10/(possibly)11. Will make a follow up thread detailing this tweak. Henlo bois. I am a small beginning developer. Nothing huge. But I decided to bring back the typing sounds and the lock sound from iOS 8/9 to work on iOS 10.x (confirmed) and hopefully iOS 11. This tweak is very small but I found that there's really no tweak out there that does this. If you would like to use this tweak, you can add my repo to Cydia and go from there. Small release, huge nostalgia. EDIT: If you were having an update loop, refresh sources. It is fixed now. [link] [comments]
[Release]9ostalgia - The iOS 8/9 Experience on iOS 10/11 (Partially) Posted: 31 May 2018 11:23 AM PDT So as some of you have seen and used my tweak I released earlier today, 9SysSounds, Which brings back the iOS 8/9 typing sounds and the lock sound on iOS 10 and 11; this is a follow up tweak that take that functionality and also adds the iOS 8/9 banners. If you look on my repo, you'll see that I have 2 tweaks; 9Banners and 9SysSounds. Which both are individual tweaks. The 9banners tweak is still in beta and I'm working on getting all the functions working. However, 9ostalgia brings both 9SysSounds and 9Banners together for a unified experience. As you can see, the banners work pretty decent. The only issues that persist are the quick reply system when pulling down on a message. That doesn't work as of now. Same issue persists on other applications as well. Bringing back the 9ostalgia (nostalgia)! [link] [comments]
[News] LiberIOS will be updated but will not include cydia like before . Posted: 31 May 2018 09:55 AM PDT @morpheus / Jonathan levin has confirmed he will be updating his LiberIOS jailbreak for the new iOS 11.3.1 but will not be including cydia . Thoughts ? Edit correct link : LiberIOS "Will LiberiOS get an update? Yes. Will LiberTV get an update? Yes. Wen eta? First of all, it's "wHen". Second, have patience. A watched pot never boils. Will Cydia be included? NO. Why no Cydia? Because. Contrary to popular believe, I don't hate Saurik. I had reached out to Saurik multiple times, and he slammed me, confusing me with other people. But I do think Cydia has become abominable, an arcane contraption that was good for a certain time, but is no longer. But without Cydia it's not a JB! Not for you, maybe. But for others, it's even better this way. I want CYDIA!!!! Say that in a reply to me, please on Twitter. That way my autoblocker kicks in and I never get to hear it again. Or go bug Coolstar/CheeseCakeUFO or any other fine JB developer. Not me. Will QiLin get an update? Absolutely. It drives Liber*" [link] [comments]
[News] nullpixel said we should update our iPhone X to 11.3.1 too! [Discussion]R/W is possible on ios 11.3+, last piece of the puzzle? Posted: 31 May 2018 03:03 AM PDT See the following tweak and blog post in relation to R/W to root on iOS 11.3 https://twitter.com/SparkZheng/status/1002123813872586752 https://www.weibo.com/ttarticle/p/show?id=2309404245794218721506 Quote: "According to our research, our new mitigation bypass will work with Ian Beer's incoming tfp0 on iOS 11.3.1. Posted: 31 May 2018 04:53 PM PDT I know there is so much talk about blobs blah blah, I get it, I understand the process and I'm not asking about how to do it. I'm just struggling to understand one part, IF 11.4.1 is released BEFORE a jailbreak is made for 11.3.1, and 11.4.1 has a NEW SEP, will existing jailbroken devices still be able to upgrade by using blobs and setting nonce? I was under the impression the latest firmware Apple are signing needs to be the same SEP as the the one you are trying to future restore too. If this is not the case great, please confirm. If this is the case, surely with Coolstars recent tweets saying he is going to try and make a jailbreak for 11.3.1 and with the donations by A10+ devices to test on, we should be upgrading to 11.3.1 ASAP anyway? Otherwise if Apple closes the window and 11.4.1 has a new SEP, we are screwed. Anyone in the know please clear this one part up for me. Thanks in advance! Also if you have a newer device and like Electra jailbreak, please consider donating on Coolstars Electra website so he can buy a test device. Judging by his Twitter he seems to be quite touched by the generosity of us all! Peace ✌🏼 [link] [comments]
Posted: 31 May 2018 01:43 PM PDT Since Electra 1.0 has been released, I have been on the fence of giving into Electra. The only thing that has stopped me was Saurik saying that Electra might not be FULLY compatible with what he has going on. But with Electra essentially being a full jailbreak and even having Activator updated for it (yay!), I would like to ask the Question: What is the point of waiting for Saurik to release his tool? With Electra, we can install tweaks, install themes, and even unjailbreak with Delectra. What we can't do so far is: Have official Cydia support (since Electra is using some sort of bootleg version of Cydia), make official purchases in Cydia, and utilise mobile substrate. I think what kept most people away was Activator not being usable in iOS 11, which has since been updated for Coolstar's jailbreak. But, as a person who was waiting but hasn't given in because it's taking a while (AND I FULLY UNDERSTAND SAURIK IS A PERSON AND JAILBREAKING IS A HOBBY), I was just wondering what the actual point of waiting for Saurik was now. Thank you if you took the time to read this! (I'm not trying to be rude/offensive, I would simply like to know what are the disadvantages of using Electra at this point.) [link] [comments]

[Release] Fix for no typing sounds after removing my tweak 9SysSounds/9ostalgia Posted: 31 May 2018 08:04 PM PDT THIS FIX WORKS ON IOS 10 AND 11!! Don't let the name of the zip file trick you. I am aware that my tweaks that modify the typing sounds (9SysSounds & 9ostalgia) are leaving people in a situation where they have no typing sounds when the remove the tweak. I am working on fixing this issue. Download this zip and move the files into /System/Library/Audio/UISounds and then reboot (reboot is needed to apply those sounds.), and then re-jailbreak. http://www.mediafire.com/file/geyvv79o2wq7l3s/iOS+11+Typing+Sounds.zip I am sorry for any inconvenience with my tweak. I am new to the developing scene. [link] [comments]
[Question] We will use semirestore and delectra before updating to 11.3.1, right? Posted: 31 May 2018 10:44 PM PDT I think I am updating tomorrow. I must be sure about everything. Never used any blobs btw. If someone could tell me how to use it, much thanks will be given. I have a 11.3.1 and 11.4 blob but don't know how to use now. [link] [comments]
