| Apple TV Video pauses when I AirPlay music Posted: 30 Apr 2018 05:02 PM PDT When I first got my apple TV in December, I could airplay music from my phone and the video I was watching on my appleTV would continue to play just without sound. Now when I stream through airplay from my phone, the video on the TV stops. I know its a specific issue but I like to play music through my speakers while watching certain things such as sports. Is there a setting or something I can change to allow me to airplay music and allow the video I am watching on the apple tv to play still? [link] [comments]  |
| Apple TV consistently fails to wake up from sleep Posted: 30 Apr 2018 11:07 AM PDT Been having this problem for about 2 weeks now. I've searched but haven't found a post about a similar issue. Whenever I try to wake the appletv up using its remote it does nothing. I have to physically unplug the unit and plug it back in for it to boot up. I don't use the HDMI CEC of whatever feature. Has anyone had this issue? Is it a remote issue? Appletv issue? Being that my Appletv is in my entertainment center I'm about sick of having to crawl and unplug it whenever I want to watch anything. | Apple TV 4K - watching from iTunes library slow to load Posted: 30 Apr 2018 12:07 PM PDT I watch a lot of movies (which are stored on my iTunes library) on my Apple TV 4K. Both devices are wired connections but for some reason this 4K model is slow to load the movies (very slow, sometimes even freezing or failing to load ahead of the movie currently playing). I don't have this problem on the other Apple TVs in the house (only the 4K tv). These are all movies stored on my computer not in the cloud, i never have trouble with Netflix, Amazon etc... only movies on my computer though iTunes. [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 30 Apr 2018 09:34 AM PDT my apple tv went crazy, when im in the homescreen, everytime i move , siri is talking but really fast like x4 faster, every single time i move she talks, even when im in the apps she is always talking, and if there is text she will read it all, and in the menus, if i want to move up or down, i have to slide to the sides, if i slide up or down it wont move sorry for my bad english [link] [comments]  |
| Is it common for the 4K Apple TV to cause problems for other HDMI devices? Posted: 30 Apr 2018 11:23 AM PDT I just spent a day thinking my PS4 was broken. When I tried to use it in 4K mode it kept blinking black every few seconds (1080p was fine). The PS4 was in HDMI 1 and I'd attached my new Apple TV in 2. As a last ditch I pulled out the Apple TV and it went back to normal. Is there an issue where the Apple TV doesn't play nice with other devices somehow? Could just be something funky about my TV but I thought I'd ask because any info will help me troubleshoot. [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 30 Apr 2018 07:17 AM PDT I've have a professionally done aerial video shot that i would like to add into the mix of screen savers offered on my Apple TV 4k. I have read that there is a way to apply your own video's via JSON pointer, but i only have 1 video and dont want to loose all the other fantastic videos offered by Apple.
