Here to debunk 2 myths about the iPhone X Posted: 08 Apr 2018 03:25 AM PDT So, I'm working in a tech store at weekends and we have all iPhones displayed. They are being charged and kept at 100% during the day, and then they get disconnected from power when the store is closed (they aren't turned off, just letf discharging) So the iPhone X is in the store since november, 2017, and now it was updated to 11.3 so I checked the battery. It's at 99% And do you wonder wether the screen burns in? There is absolutely no sign of burn in, even though the screen is constantly on during the day. These are normal iPhones that get the store software installed on them, so it's just the same as yours. Video on batteries: https://youtu.be/AbQJNBFbwdY [link] [comments] |

Portrait Mode Software Issue (iOS 11.3) -- "Move Further Away" Posted: 08 Apr 2018 10:37 AM PDT I recently updated my iPhone to iOS 11.3. After that update, my Portrait mode is no longer working as intended. Specifically, it tells me to "move farther away." This message persists even when I actually move farther away. It will not focus on people, animals, objects, etc. Is anyone else having this issue? If so, any fixes? It seems to be a software problem because there have been no changes in my hardware. (I have a new case, but even when removing that the problem persists.) Thanks all. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 08 Apr 2018 12:09 PM PDT Hi, I am looking for the best battery case released to this date. I want one as similar as possible to smart battery case for iP7, meaning: slimness, lightness, and everything that may apply. Any to recommend? PS (If possible) looking for a white one. iPhone X portrait photos reversed to original Posted: 08 Apr 2018 12:05 PM PDT Hi, Suddenly , hundreds of portrait photos reversed to "original" (without the blur), from a specific date. I can change them back manually but it takes forever. All of them got duplicated on google photos - some are portrait + original and some just double "original". Any ideas? Thank [link] [comments] |
Posted: 08 Apr 2018 03:23 PM PDT Hi friends, I recently received an iPhone X as a present. I am super thrilled and super happy with this gift but the happiness is as great as the fear of having a device so expensive. So, I decided to sacrifice the aesthetics of this beautiful phone to get the maximum protection I can afford. I took a look on Amazon. I found cases similar to the original but bolder and cases made by three pieces, a suite, a back cover and a front cover, all tightened up by screws. There's a great offer but still poor documentation on the best rugged cases. What kind of strong protection case do you think is great? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 08 Apr 2018 01:07 PM PDT I recently acquired the iPhone X on Verizon, leaving my Sprint S7 Edge behind. The biggest device-level difference I have noticed is the battery life. Not only is the X miles ahead of the old iPhones I had that caused me to go to Samsung, but it is so much better than the S7! I used to have to charge my S7 on lunch breaks, before going out, pretty much at all available opportunities. I'm at 12.5 hours off the charger right now, and I'm still at 72%. I am truly amazed. This phone is the bomb; especially being on Verizon. Sprint sucks ass in my area. [link] [comments] |
What’s the best charging pattern? Posted: 08 Apr 2018 01:44 AM PDT Let's assume I have to charge my X once every day. Is it best to start charging at 20 to 30% and let it charge over the night (and not use it while charging)? [link] [comments] |
Why should I NOT upgrade to an X? Posted: 07 Apr 2018 04:46 PM PDT I have an iPhone 7 Plus that is in good condition (no scratches, no cracks, no bends) and runs well. I've been tempted since the announcement of the X to upgrade but have resisted so far. With deals on the X starting to pop up I'm seriously kicking around the idea now. Doing some google searches I see all kinds of rumors about the replacement to the X regarding timing and price and different sizes, but I can't really tell what is credible and what isn't. I've done a bit of searching on this sub and found that it seems the majority suggest staying in the 7-series phones rather than upgrading at this point, but why should I? Looks like currently I could trade my iphone 7 plus to Verizon and get the X for $650. [link] [comments] |
