Just realised there’s haptic feedback when I Upvote or Downvote Posted: 01 Apr 2018 08:53 PM PDT I seriously never noticed this, until someone mentioned that it does this. Haptic feedback feels so natural now that it's pointless in implementing it becuase you forget its there anyway. That said, I can't live without haptic feedback In the offical reddit app It seems to only be on some 6s phones and all phones that are 7 or later [link] [comments]

So me and my buddy switched phones for a day to see if we wanted to trade ! Posted: 01 Apr 2018 09:23 PM PDT I have an iPhone 8, he has a Samsung S8, we've been chatting lately about possibly trading phones for the hell of it, and while I did enjoy the screen on the phone (colours seemed really off tho) I absolutely see why I switched to Apple, it just did not run as smooth as my iPhone, from switching between apps or just browsing the net, my iPhone did everything smoother, going through the settings on the s8 was an absolute nightmare (and I'm by no means unfamiliar with android) I had quite a few apps crash throughout the day, the camera didn't capture pictures as easily, and the phone felt warm all the time, battery life was even worse even though the battery is like 1200mah more (which I don't get), like I said I did actually enjoy the "infinity" screen and being able to customize my home screen was super nice, but that to me does not make it worth losing the performance My buddy on the other hand has been with android since ever, he loved the iPhone, he noticed how much smoother everything was, how much more user friendly everything is, the camera, apps opened quicker, and he loved the battery life, he was also really impressed with the App Store, he noticed how much less junk is available, he was convinced to switch with me the next day and I was not. He's now in the process of selling the S8 and he's going to be getting the iPhone 8+ (he loves gigantic screens) I converted him! Don't get me wrong Google, Samsung, OnePlus, LG do make some really nice phones, but if your looking for something that is just going to work, and work well, then go for an iPhone. Unreliable TouchID on iOS 11.3 Posted: 02 Apr 2018 07:23 AM PDT Just purchased a used iPhone 6S recently to tide me over since my S7 Edge got stolen last June. Despite the absolute nightmare I had to go through setting the thing up, I eventually had it up and running. I've had experience with iOS in the past, and Gen2 TouchID has been known to be really fast. In my case however, it's one of the most unreliable scanners I've ever used. I'm not sure if it's a hardware problem or something, but it only works when my hand is ABSOLUTELY dry, and that I get the positioning PERFECT. Otherwise, i'm hit with the mocking "Try again" at the bottom of the screen. Is it just me having this issue? Do you think a factory reset will solve this? Please leave any suggestions below. Amazon has Apple iPhone X Saddle Brown Leather Case on sale ($34.99) Posted: 02 Apr 2018 05:35 AM PDT I was waiting for a good deal and Amazon has them going for $34.30. I have had the cosmos blue since launch but this'll always be my favorite. edit: price adjustment [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Apr 2018 05:56 AM PDT I have a 5s and whenever I charge it, the screen spasms out and it's barely useable. I bought an MFi certified cable from amazon so is it my phone? [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Apr 2018 05:46 AM PDT My news widget suddenly disappeared on my 7. I tried changing the region and updating to the latest iOS, but all did not help. Does anyone got an idea how to fix this? [link] [comments]
Anyone else’s phone getting super hot for no reason? Posted: 02 Apr 2018 01:28 AM PDT I woke up at like 3am to my phone was at 35% and practically burning a hole into my bed, closed all my apps thinking something was processing something in the background and by the time I woke up, my phone was dead. I'm thinking it has something to do with 11.3. [link] [comments]

Bluetooth and Car Audio [Question] Posted: 02 Apr 2018 05:45 AM PDT I'm pretty late to the game, and just recently purchased a car that has a Bluetooth stereo. Nearly every time I get in the vehicle, it automatically connects, and starts playing the iTunes playlist (which is incredibly limited). What I was wondering, is there a way to choose what the default is to start playing (I.e. Podcasts or Amazon Music)? I'd even choose nothing, and have to manually select which app to use every time if that was an option. [link] [comments]
Why is my “other” section of storage so large and how do I remove that? Posted: 02 Apr 2018 06:43 AM PDT I've done the messages clearing, voice mail, etc etc But this is so big! Is it just cause I have the 16GB phone? [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Apr 2018 03:43 AM PDT I update my Iphone SE to IOS 11.3 few days ago. After checking the newly added "Battery Health" option , The maximum battery capacity was 96%. [link] [comments]
Upgrade iPhone 6 from iOS 10 to 11.1? Posted: 02 Apr 2018 08:21 AM PDT I work for a company that needs an iPhone running iOS 11.1 to do some QA testing for our website. I have an iPhone 6 running iOS 10 that I can use. Is it possible at all to upgrade it to 11.1? I have other phones on 11.2 or higher (also iPhone 6), can I downgrade them these days? 3D Touch to Dismiss is one of my favorite low-key features from 11.3 Posted: 02 Apr 2018 10:49 AM PDT The haptic feedback is soooo smooth. I don't see too many people talking about this, so I'm wondering if anyone else has been using it lately! [link] [comments]
Product Red case for iPhone X - color retention better than before? Posted: 02 Apr 2018 10:00 AM PDT I've had Product Red cases on previous iPhones, and they always get grimy - even as clean as I keep my hands - quickly. I've read that the iPhone X case is a little darker and doesn't get as grimy. Anyone here have experience? [link] [comments]
Can someone help me fix my keypad volume? Posted: 02 Apr 2018 09:46 AM PDT For some reason my keypad has become really silent, while everything else is still at normal sound. Like I have to put the phone to me ear to hear the sound. Is there a way to fix this? [link] [comments]
Is third party batteries safe for iPhones? Posted: 02 Apr 2018 09:40 AM PDT I changed my battery at a local repair shop and I'm wondering if it's safe to have or my phone will pull a note 7 [link] [comments]
How to determine if iPhone was used or not? Posted: 02 Apr 2018 09:35 AM PDT So lets say you want to buy a new iPhone, owner says that's "only opened and updated" since it was his business phone, and doesn't use it anymore. If you had only few minutes to check if that was true, what would you do to determine if the phone was used or not? [link] [comments]
I'm on a Nexus 5x right now and want to switch to Apple this year. Posted: 02 Apr 2018 09:26 AM PDT Hey there! After doing a lot of research and thinking about and monitoring what I actually do with my tech stuff, I want to switch to the Apple ecosystem. I'm becoming a teacher in Germany and also do a lot of photography. I love good design hardware- and softwarewise. I type a lot and edit photos on my PC (and sometimes game). I use my phone mostly for organizing my day: Calendar, WhatsApp, reminder, etc. And of course browsing. What I'm missing right now is a feel for the Apple ecosystem. What would be the most sensible step when I want to buy a new iPhone right now? Just get the 8, as the X is just too expensive for me to justify (helllooo Nikon 14-24mm for 1800€)? Or the 7? Or wait for September? Should I maybe buy used? Thank you! :) [link] [comments] |
