Went to the ER thanks to my Apple Watch Posted: 05 Apr 2018 07:05 PM PDT I sleep with my Apple Watch on. Yesterday morning, I went to sleep at about midnight. Had some pretty good sleep until about 2am yesterday morning, when my Apple Watch woke me up with an elevated heart rate notification (I had forgotten to turn on Theatre Mode thanks to a long shift before). Waking up, I felt my heart racing incredibly fast and I couldn't get it to calm down. Looking at my watch, my heart rate was at 194, and had increasingly gotten higher a few minutes before. I tried for about thirty minutes to get my heart rate to calm down. I was feeling a few palpitations, and a lot of skipped beats. After waiting, my watch was reading my heart rate at 70 or 80 bpm, but my heart was still pounding in my chest. This didn't make sense at all. So, I went to the ER. Turns out I had an atrial fibrillation, where the top part of my heart was beating twice as fast as the lower part of my heart. Got transferred to a cardiac ward where they're trying to figure out what could possibly have caused it. The type of fibrillation I had wasn't normal for my age at all (I'm a teen), so I'm really proud that my watch caught it for me. Had I slept through the episode, it might have been much worse. Is the Apple Watch calorie counter for strength training accurate? Posted: 06 Apr 2018 07:43 AM PDT I had a intense weightlifting session today. Average heart rate was around 110. Calories burned show as 452 on my watch (total) with 339 active. Edit: gym session was around 1 hour and 10 minutes. Is that accurate? Seems too high. [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 Apr 2018 07:39 AM PDT Hey team, I train 4-6 tines a week in judo and bjj. I shouldn't and I'm not willing to wear my watch during this as the risk to myself, my opponent and my watch is too great. It sucks I can't fill my rings. Can anyone suggest a way or another peripheral I can use to fill my rings whilst doing my martial arts? Bonus points if I can capture some health data at the same time. Thanks! [link] [comments]
Apple Watch series 3 42mm space grey aluminium gps for $425... should I ? Posted: 06 Apr 2018 07:34 AM PDT Basically I'm upgrading from series 0... should I buy ? [link] [comments]
[Question] Upgrading from Series 0 Posted: 06 Apr 2018 06:39 AM PDT I love my Series 0 that I got way back in 2015, but it is so slow these days! I really would like more advanced heart rate monitoring, so I am interested in either the Series 2 or Series 3. Any recommendations between the two? I'd like to get one on a deal, if possible. LTE isn't something I am interested in for the Series 3. Thank you in advance for your thoughts! [link] [comments]
Replica vs real Milanese loop? Posted: 06 Apr 2018 06:32 AM PDT So I've been using a replica Milanese loop from amazon for a few months now and it's been great except one thing. It seems like maybe 2 times a day i have to retighten it. For those of you with real Milanese loops, do you have to do this? [link] [comments]
Is it worth to buy Apple Watch? Posted: 06 Apr 2018 06:13 AM PDT Hi guys, I am thinking about buying Apple Watch series 3. Do you think that this purchase is good? What are benefits and disadvantages of Apple Watch? I want to make a setup with Apple Watch, iPhone and MacBook. [link] [comments]
Coming from the Android Wear Devices, so far the AW has been grand Posted: 05 Apr 2018 10:16 AM PDT My first watch was the Samsung Gear, and then the Samsung Gear Neo. Both were fantastic for what they were... especially for new wearable tech, but they ultimately were missing a lot of functionality, look and comfort. (Seriously, Samsung thought a camera on a watch was a good idea?) And then I got the LG G watch. The cards were a nicer touch but in the long run, it became a notification device. It didn't serve any other purpose. I got the AWS1 yesterday. Wow, blown away at the comfort... I can actually type normally without the strap digging into my flesh! Looks great too, I'm very impressed with the OLED screen, especially coming from a SD quality screen on the LG. But what I love the most, is the customizable face watches, especially the Modular. I have a modular face for work (with emails, next meeting events showing), and after work (with texting, music, and weather). It's just so neat to be able to swap between faces so quickly, and adapt to my setting. Absolutely brilliant! Thanks for all your help! [link] [comments]

how can I set my Bluetooth Beats X headset to default when I answer a call on my watch series 3? Posted: 06 Apr 2018 02:36 AM PDT how can I set my Bluetooth Beats X headset to default when I answer a call on my watch series 3?
