I could really use an updated Mac Mini right about now.

    Posted: 05 Apr 2018 02:02 PM PDT

All this talk about the Mac Pro, but I already know that it will be something I can't afford. There's no way they'll release a barebones Mac Pro with a few free PCI-E slots for under $1K.

What I'd really like is to get a Mac Mini either with the Intel-AMD combo chipset where Intel has VEGA replacing the iGPU.

Or just an i5/i7 with Thunderbolt 3 so I can install an eGPU.

I don't mind having user-replaceable RAM or HDD or SSD. As nice as that would be, the "newest" Mac Mini is already a lot more difficult to upgrade, so I'm not sure I'd see them allowing this.

Will Apple even make another Mac Mini? I sure fucking hope so. Their barrier to entry is currently too high for me, but I absolutely hate Windows.

Apple FINALLY fixed the album/artist linking in Apple Music

    Posted: 05 Apr 2018 01:32 PM PDT

My music library is playlist-centric, like "Chill Music" to "Songs to Sing To"

When I play a song from a playlist and bring up the music player, I would expect that tapping on the pink-colored text under the song name (it contains the album and artist) would bring me to either the album's or the artist's page. Weirdly, it would bring me to the playlist that I played the song from. This has always seem unintuitive to me

Luckily, all of that was solved in iOS 11.3! Now, when I click on the pink text, it will show three buttons. One to navigate to the artist page, another to the album page, and another to the playlist it's playing from.

    Thanks, Apple 👍🏽

Found an iPad in the King of Prussia Mall yesterday, Apple Support said nothing they can do. Figured I'd post here and try.

Hello! If you lost your iPad in the King of Prussia mall yesterday, I have it. Trying to find you.

Anywho, called Apple just now. Guy was really nice but said there is nothing they can do. The iPad has an activation lock and a passcode so it's not like I can do anything with it. Just figured I'd try and find the owner. If he/she visits here, send me a message!

Purchased the new Space Grey keyboard today, doesn't say it anywhere on the box but apparently it's French Canadian....

    Imgur album

No indication this was going to be a French Canadian keyboard until I had it opened and on my desk. Even the picture on the box is of the US English keyboard, which was what I thought I was buying. I'm planning on returning it and just waiting on the one I've ordered online to come in.

For those who think that the minimum screen brightness is too high: reduce white point

    Posted: 05 Apr 2018 04:22 AM PDT

In iOS go to settings - general - accessibility - display accommodations - turn on reduce white point and adjust the intensity at desired.

Pro tip: configure a shortcut to it in the control center.

This plus Night Shift will make your nights browsing the web much easier.

What can the Things 3 app (iPhone/iPad) do which the stock Reminders app cant?

    Posted: 05 Apr 2018 06:13 PM PDT

Other than the pretty UI. What features are they offering over the free stock app which justifies the $10 price with no universal app.
