Apple Plans to Use Its Own Chips in Macs From 2020, Replacing Intel Posted: 02 Apr 2018 10:50 AM PDT |
In February Apple held their annual Close Your Rings Challenge and this was the reward: Posted: 02 Apr 2018 05:17 PM PDT For the challenge employees had to meet their goal every day for the entire month. All three rings must close by the end of the day. It took a while to be delivered but I love the watch band and the card looks nice as well. [link] [comments] |
Fortnite now available for everyone on iOS Posted: 02 Apr 2018 08:46 AM PDT |
Posted: 02 Apr 2018 02:58 PM PDT References to a new display output labeled "Tatl" have been discovered hidden in the PrivateFrameworks code of iOS 11.3 that were not present in 11.2. https://twitter.com/stroughtonsmith/status/979760720278679552
"Tatl" appears to be a code name for a potential future Apple product, and a possible allusion to Link's fairy companion in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. http://zelda.wikia.com/wiki/Tatl In the game, Tatl assists Link by allowing him to interact with the environment and give him information when looking at certain objects, people, and enemies. AR glasses, anyone? Separately, but also possibly related, iOS 11.3 CoreUI may now request This story has not been picked up by Apple blogs at this time, which is why I have self posted. Don’t know if anyone has notice this new feature in Apple Music ? It’s extremely useful . Posted: 02 Apr 2018 05:12 PM PDT https://i.imgur.com/WFBl50b.jpg I tapped on the name of the song and additional options popped up ! I am very excited about this addition . Also , only works on 11.3 Edit : 11.3 [link] [comments] |
Has anyone else had exceptionally phenomenal battery life on iOS 11.3? Posted: 02 Apr 2018 06:50 AM PDT Well, after frequenting this subreddit this week, and seeing iPhone 6 and 6S users complain about bad battery life, I decided to go for it and install iOS 11.3 on my iPhone 7, with peak battery performance at 100%. It's amazing. Extremely smooth and I'm getting straight up 8-9 hours with mixed use, YouTube, LTE and Portable Hotspot some games and AR. I also have an Android Wear device (LG G Watch) paired up. In contrast, I used to barely get 4 hours on iOS 11.2.5 and 11.2.6. Edit: I also keep things like location, background app refresh and WiFi off. What's your battery life like? [link] [comments] |

Why I need to type every letter correctly to find songs on Apple Music ? Posted: 02 Apr 2018 08:59 PM PDT For example if I want to search for "Best part by Daniel Caesar" and I type it wrong into "best pary" in music it show results that not relevant to what I want to find. But if I type "best pary" in Spotlight search it can find what I want with 💯 accurate. Can't they just did what Google did with it search results to show more relevant information ? PSA: Australians with a HomePod, you can now tell Siri to play Triple J and ABC News Radio Posted: 02 Apr 2018 10:13 PM PDT I mean, you still can't get her to be quiet without asking her 2-3 times but this news kind of makes up for it ;-) It switches to awesome quality after a few seconds for me as well. Really pumped about this news. NOTE: May also work overseas or with other radio stations, I haven't checked. [link] [comments] |

Apple to announce Q2 2018 earnings on May 1st Posted: 02 Apr 2018 03:21 PM PDT |
Posted: 02 Apr 2018 02:59 PM PDT This is probably a stupid question, but if I were to buy an iPhone 8/Plus/X (or any smartphone with Bluetooth 5.0 for that matter) will I be able to play music through two Bluetooth speakers at once like the feature on the Galaxy S8, or is the S8 only able to do this due to software? Apple Seeds First Beta of iOS 11.4 to Developers Posted: 02 Apr 2018 10:05 AM PDT |
Posted: 03 Apr 2018 12:51 AM PDT I am torn between ParcelTrack, Parcel, and Deliveries. I would love to hear which is better in terms of features (looks are secondary to me). [link] [comments] |

Any other daily iPad users that can basically touch-type on the iPad touchscreen keyboard? Posted: 02 Apr 2018 11:26 PM PDT So, I have the 9.7 inch iPad Pro, and while it hasn't totally replaced my Mac or anything I do get a lot of use out of it. I've had it for a bit over a year now and it this point I can more or less touch-type letters on the touchscreen. In fact, I wrote this post with the on-screen keyboard while barely looking down at all. And all while making no more mistakes than I do with a physical keyboard. Anyone else here who can do this? Mark Zuckerberg fires back hard at Tim Cook: "extremely glib" Posted: 02 Apr 2018 03:25 AM PDT |
Tip: first batch LG ultrafine 5k displays break Airpod connectivity. Posted: 02 Apr 2018 02:06 PM PDT I have been annoyed by my Airpod's inability to connect to my MacBook Pro for quite a while but never thought much about it. Recently I discovered that they connect fine if the MBP is not connected to my LG 5k display. Of course I had heard about the wifi issues caused by bad/missing shielding on the first batch of the ultrafine display, however I never got it repaired because my wifi was working fine and I was too lazy to send it in. Turns out the shielding issue doesn't only affect wifi, but also bluetooth (however most of my bluetooth devices were working correctly). Well I finally got it repaired and my Airpod connection issues are all gone. Should have done that a year ago.... [link] [comments] |
Posted: 02 Apr 2018 02:17 PM PDT Neokara Calavera / @karacalavera: Apple's always been honest about aiming for the prestige market in lieu of being affordable. They're honest about their business model, and I choose not to buy from them. FB didn't tell me it was giving my data to a company to use for psychological warfare. There's a difference. http://twitter.com/... Josh Barro / @jbarro: I don't think this is a very good line for Zuckerberg. Apple is a company that works hard to charge you more.
