Soccer TV Reddit Edition for tvOS is no longer working?

    Posted: 01 Feb 2018 07:12 PM PST

    My favorite tvOS app: http://buenaonda.github.io/reddit-soccer-site/

Since 2 weeks ago, it no longer worked, enter "Highlights" section, select any match, it quits itself.

This app seems to be removed from AppStore too.

    Any idea why?

Any other free soccer apps for tvOS recommended? Just want to watch match highlights.

    Plex won't save streaming quality

    Posted: 01 Feb 2018 09:01 PM PST

I set the "Home Streaming" and "Internet Streaming" both to maximum and then I'll go to pick out a movie and it reverts back to "8 Mbps, 1080p HD" am I doing something wrong with getting it to save?

    Wunderstation for aTV?

    Posted: 01 Feb 2018 12:03 PM PST

I wish there was a native Wunderstation app for aTV. Sure sure, I can Airplay it over, but that's not great. Anyone have a suggestion for a weather app for aTV that can pull from a personal weather station?

Silly question, but: can someone really break down all the uses for the Apple TV?

    Posted: 01 Feb 2018 04:52 AM PST

I think I'd like to buy one but I feel like there is probably more to it. You know, those little things you discover on your iOS or OSX devices and think, yes, this is great?

What's so great about the Apple TV?

Right now I don't have unlimited internet, but I am trying to finagle a good deal to upgrade and then if I can, I want to get one. I figured I would purchase Netflix, but then I am a little stumped.

I live in Canada (so I think there are limitations), I'm financially on the lower end side (so I can't afford many other, if at all, monthly services), and have a small Apple Ecosystem here.

I have two chronic diseases so I spend most of my life in bed outside of work, which is what is driving me to get this; something to make my shitty life a little more 'fun'.

[Help] Unable to play back Blade Runner 2049 in 4K or HDR/Dolby Vision

    Posted: 01 Feb 2018 01:16 PM PST

Blade Runner 2049 was my favorite movie of 2017. So much so that I bought a new setup to enjoy it in its full glory: LG C7 OLED, Apple TV 4K, high-speed/category 2 HDMI cable... the whole shebang.

I finally got around to purchasing the movie on iTunes yesterday. Imagine my surprise when I go to play it on my Apple TV 4K and I see it streaming in HD.

I tried troubleshooting to no avail. - Both, my Apple TV 4K and my TV, support the 4K HDR/DV signal. I'm able to set the Apple TV 4K interface to output in 4K HDR 60Hz and 4K DV 60Hz and see the HDR/DV logos pop up on the top right corner of my TV screen. - I "checked the cable" (using the settings option) and was able to receive the image crisp and clear. - I have "Match Dynamic Range" and "Match Frame Rate" set to On - Chroma settings are YcBcr 4:4:4, don't know if there could be an issue with that. - It's not an issue with the internet. I have my Apple TV 4K connected via ethernet and my down/up is 75/10 mbps. - I didn't own the movie before I purchased it so this wasn't one of those weird MoviesAnywhere/"re-purchase" issues that seem to break iTunes.

The only plausible explanations I'm able to think of: a) I know Apple doesn't allow 4K downloads, only 1080p; perhaps the movie ended up downloading in 1080p somehow and playback defaults to that. Is this even possible? Can you even download movies on the Apple TV or is it all streaming? I couldn't find a whole lot on this. b) I purchased the movie through my iPhone; Could this have somehow caused the movie to be bought in 1080p instead of 4K? Seems unlikely as HD movies get automatically upgraded to 4K. c) There is a problem on Apple's side of things. The closest I've seen someone else describe this same issue was this dude on Forbes. He mentioned some movies marked as 4K would play back in the intended resolution but some wouldn't.

Anyone else run into this? Any ideas on how to fix this? Any help would be appreciated, I'm going a little insane.

Apple TV 4k Software Update fail

    Posted: 01 Feb 2018 01:40 PM PST

My ATV 4k came with tvos 11.0 and i installed a 11 beta profile to block software updates for jb purpose.

I installed LiberTV and kodi worked for only a week. Also Amazon Prime Video app requires 11.1 and later and jb is pretty useless with 7 day re-sign restriction.

So i removed the 11 beta profile and when i do software update it thows "The update was not successful".

Any help to update to latest tvOS version is appreciated.

    Thanks

    Latest Beta causing AirPods dropouts/static?

    Posted: 01 Feb 2018 10:12 AM PST

Anyone else having this issue? I'm getting a lot of Audio dropouts and some status once connected to my ATV4k running the latest beta. I don't get this when connected to my iPhone/iMac/IPad.
