[Tip] Get more saturated colors on your iPhone X

    Posted: 17 Jan 2018 07:29 PM PST

Idk if this works on other iPhones prior to the X but going into Settings > General > Accessibility > Display Accomodations... Turn color filters on and touch on Blue/Yellow Filter. This will give your device more saturated colors. Although i haven't compared the colors to a Samsung Galaxy S7 or 8 they look very vibrant and you can customize the saturation level

[Discussion] on 28th February 2018 Cydia will be 10 years old. Could saurik be aiming to release his first own collab jailbreak on this date for its meaningful significance?

    Posted: 17 Jan 2018 09:00 AM PST

Obviously I hope not, but that date will definitely mean something to him and it is relatively close. He might feel it would be a shame to miss the opportunity and make the big release a 10 year anniversary event.

[Discussion] About a year ago many said that jailbreaking was "dying". That was proven wrong with various iOS 10 tools. Shortly after, similar talk took place regarding iOS 11 and many said that we would never see another jailbreak again. But here we are. Big thank you to all Developers. We ❤️ you.

    [Discussion] [Theory] [Shitpost] Is tihmstar...

    Posted: 17 Jan 2018 09:11 PM PST

    32-Bit Jesus? Think about it.

H3lix (iOS 10.x jailbreak for 32 bit, after not a single JB comes out for it until then)

Phœnix (9.3.5 jailbreak, made most 32-Bit devices jailbreakable for life)

BetterHomeDepot (9.1-9.3.4 untether, when everyone said untethers were dead)

EtaSon (8.4.1 jailbreak after 2 years or NOTHING)

    32-Bit FutureRestore

I think Tihmstar might be the savior of 32-Bit. Now that 10.3.3 is jailbroken and 32-Bit is officially dead, I can't wait to see what he does with 64-Bit...

Note: I know he didn't do this all himself (a fair bit of help from siguza along the way) but this is also a shitpost so don't think about it too hard

[Discussion] Why has no one tried to revive biteSMS?

    Posted: 17 Jan 2018 09:36 PM PST

Ever since it went dark round iOS 8 no one has made anything like it.

Columba seemed to be a decent shot at it, but it wasn't well-supported and never left beta.

bite was sold around $6-8 for a license and was probably the #1 most popular jb app.

But in the meantime, is there a QC tweak laying around somewhere that works with Electra?

[Discussion] Finally caved and decided to use Electra. I have dev experience so I was pretty comfortable. Now my 7 Plus and X are both Jailbroken and I am loving it. Amazing work to CoolStar and all other developers involved in creating these masterpieces.Video Link below showing it up and running❤️

[Question] Is there / would it be possible to make a tweak which conclusively shows you whether the microphone, camera eta are being used and which app is using it?

    Posted: 17 Jan 2018 07:18 PM PST

There's been a lot of chatter recently about sneaky "passive listening" by various apps, primarily for alleged advertising purposes. Of course, this has been met with strong denials from the accused companies as well as double down from those who accuse them.

Obviously iOS is designed to show you with a red bar on the top of the screen, whether an app is using the mic (not so sure about the camera?) - but the suggestion is that the sneaky apps have either found a way to avoid this, or that Apple has secretly allowed them to do so.

In light of this controversy, is there already - and if not, would it be possible to construct - a jailbreak tweak or app (assuming the phone is fully jailbroken) which could monitor which components of the phone are in use or switched off at any moment in time? So for instance, "Temple Run is using the gyroscope", "Facebook is using the microphone", "Sleep Cycle is using the accelerometer" etc? Or is this beyond the level of connectivity between the kernel and the hardware, or indeed beyond the level of access jailbreaking gives you to the core OS?
