Welcome to this weeks Weekly Support Thread This thread is to help answer all of your simple questions, and keep /r/AppleWatch's front page clean! Got a simple question? Get a simple answer. It's as simple as that. The thread's been set to sort posts randomly to push all sorts of questions to the top. Before you ask, please make sure you've checked out our wiki's troubleshooting guide, searched it on Google, or used our subreddit search feature (wow, who knew that was a thing)! If you can't find an answer, you want some further insight, or you're just lazy, feel free to post your question here. What can I ask?If you've been asked to post your question here, then go ahead! Otherwise, if your question is one or two sentences long, and is pretty simple (such as asking for recommendations, apps, troubleshooting, app issues, etc), go ahead. If you need a lot more investigation, or you're asking for many opinions, go ahead and post it elsewhere (it may be removed if it's too simple, or it's deemed to be more suitable for here). See all the other threadsPlease remember our rules. Have a nice day! [link] [comments]

3rd party complications not refreshing properly? Posted: 29 Jan 2018 06:51 AM PST Hello, I have tried a few 3rd party apps with complications and noticed that a lot of them won't update properly on my modular watch face unless I click into them and refreshing. E.g. pedometer says 4566 steps on the icon but clicking into it shows 4701 steps. Have you notice something like this? Do you know if this is an Apple issue or 3rd party issue? Many thanks. Summer has made me realise the benefit of a LTE capable watch Posted: 28 Jan 2018 02:19 PM PST So it's summer here in New Zealand and there's a bit of a heat wave going on, I'm fortunate enough to live in a city that also has plenty of decent beaches just a short drive away so I've been taking full advantage of this. The problem is that I leave my phone in the car because I don't trust leaving it unattended on the beach while I'm in the water, plus there's the whole issue of sand scratching the phone. However, I do wear my Watch with me. Previously I'd never really thought there was much need for me to have a Watch with LTE capabilities but this summer has really made me consider picking one up when they arrive in NZ. Just for the peace of mind that I'm reachable in an emergency (and vice versa) and although it hasn't happened yet, if I get caught in a rip I'd have the ability to call and hopefully be rescued if I needed it. Minimum iOS requirement for watchOS 4.3 Posted: 29 Jan 2018 07:55 AM PST Does anyone know what the lowest iOS watchOS 4.3 will work on? I'm on iOS 11.1.2 and am curious if it will allow me to update my watch while keeping my iOS version. [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Jan 2018 06:44 AM PST Looking for a good gym app that I can use and leave my phone in my locker to track reps and types of exercises I do. Want something g to monitor my heart rate too. I know I heard of a good one but can't remember the name of it now. Anyone recommend a good app like this? Please and thank you. [link] [comments]

Posted: 29 Jan 2018 08:40 AM PST Suddenly since the new update my Do Not Disturb settings for texts aren't mirroring my iPhone. I have a group chat with my buddies that has the notifications on silent or DND, but the watch is still vibrating for each one. Does anyone have a fix for this or can explain why this is happening? Watch getting less accurate with time/age? Posted: 29 Jan 2018 08:24 AM PST Does anyone else think this? I have a series 2 that I've owned for 1.5 years now. I feel like it has gotten worse and less accurate at calculating my calories over time, even though my workouts haven't changed a lot (if anything have gotten better or more intense). It also is terrible at judging my "stand" times. I walk back and forth all day at work and will look down and have missed multiple hours. I paid for Apple care. Should I send it in? Posted: 29 Jan 2018 07:04 AM PST So removed the stock weather app off my phone which removed it from my watch. I now reinstalled the weather app and it hangs at 3/4 progress installing on my watch. Any fix for this? [link] [comments]
Looking to upgrade and have a few questions Posted: 29 Jan 2018 06:53 AM PST I currently have the OG Apple Watch (series 0?). Battery life is starting to become an issue and I'm looking to upgrade to something that should hopefully at least last the day. I'm looking to go the the Series 3 Nike w/LTE. My questions are 1) Is the activation/and first few months of service still being waived by Verizon, even if I buy it through Best Buy or another retail outlet? 2) Can I truly workout without my phone and track via GPS and stream audio via Apple Music? In the summer, I typically bike about an hour each day and just taking the watch without a phone is very appealing to me. My LTE signal is fine on my phone when streaming audio, is the Apple Watch radio comparable to the iPhone from a reception stand point? Many thanks in advance [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Jan 2018 05:39 AM PST I've had autosleep for a few weeks now, and my deep sleep is showing up very low. Last night was 0:30 in 6:35 of quality sleep (8:30 total). When I choose the "high heart rate" filter my deep sleep jumps up to 2:00 using the same data. I have a nocturnal heart rate dip of between 10-16% (low 60s) so I feel like I shouldn't be using that setting. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any thoughts on how to address it? The best Apple Watch stand/dock options? Posted: 28 Jan 2018 04:55 PM PST I'm looking for on a dock or stand for my S3 Apple Watch. I'd like to utilize the nightstand mode if possible, but may want to incorporate my iPhone on the same stand. Either for some sort of clock, or just to stand up and charge. I have an older iHome that incorporates the 32 pin connector, so it's obviously time to replace! Any opinions appreciated! [link] [comments]
