What’s everyone’s opinions on third party sport loop bands? Posted: 13 Jan 2018 04:35 AM PST I am planning on getting a third part spot loop but I don't normally buy non Apple stuff. The only reason I'm getting this one is that it can be bought in the elusive black/pure platinum colour scheme. What are the major drawbacks of the third party knock off bands? [link] [comments]
Question! Which model is right for Work? Need real person practical advice Posted: 13 Jan 2018 07:15 AM PST My girlfriend and I are PA students and about to start clinical and then will be working full time in less than a year. We are both interested in Apple watches as there are times in the profession where pulling out your phone is a big no-no due to HIPPA or just hospital policy, but having access to texts on your wrist in case of emergencies etc is the primary draw. We also workout so the fitness capabilities are also a plus. We were wondering if the cellular version is really worth the extra $70 up front and $120 over the course of the first year. Realistically we should have our phones either at a desk or in a back pocket but sometimes it's appropriate to leave in a locker. Will the Apple Watch work well on a Hospital WiFi if that is the case? I've done research and it sounds like the extra $70 might be worth to have "just in case" and only activate cellular if I know I'll use it but if some real user Advice says nah you'll be fine without then I'll save that couple hundred bucks. Thanks!! [link] [comments]
So now there is no way I can get an original black leather loop from Apple? Posted: 13 Jan 2018 07:00 AM PST I don't like the charcoal gray and the after market ones are always defective. Will appreciate if you guys can point me to an after market good one or to a original black one. [link] [comments]
Posted: 12 Jan 2018 09:15 PM PST Hey all, I've had "old fashioned" watches my whole life that beep on the hour and would to have it for the AW especially due to working in the medical field. I've checked the sub Reddit already and have only found outdated apps or setting 24 reminders (PITA). Any help?? [link] [comments]
Watch Remembers Data, Activity and Health Deleted It Posted: 13 Jan 2018 06:56 AM PST More of a rant I guess, but if anyone knows a fix let me know. Quick version: Last Sunday (Jan 7) I finished a perfect week, got the four achievements on the phone, etc. Monday they were missing. According to the Activity app I was 49 calories under for Saturday. I tried the fixes I found online about restarting, and that caused all my Sunday data to delete from the phone as well (1284 calories). The ring data for Monday was still there, but it deleted the workouts (three total) for that day. Thursday I got the notice that I completed 7 workouts that week, but according to the achievement badge in activity I had 5 activities that week by then. This seems to tell me that the watch as all the data missing from the phone, but it won't sync over. Frustrating to say the least. Anyone else have this hiccup before? [link] [comments]
S0 SS sent in for repair - Got S2 SS In return! Posted: 12 Jan 2018 06:49 PM PST Pretty stoked about this, because I was about to purchase an S2 from a friend, but I sent in my S0 SS for repair due to constant crashing and rebooting, Apple sent in a product replacement, it was noted that it was a gen 0 I was getting in return and I got bummed out. Package came in today and on the back it says series 2 SS gps WR-50m so I'm pretty stoked for the free replacement. Thank you Apple! [link] [comments]
Has anyone bought bands through Cex? Posted: 13 Jan 2018 06:41 AM PST If so, what was the quality like? Any tips on what to or what not to buy through them? I'm worried about buying used bands through them because of the deceptively low prices. [link] [comments]
Posted: 13 Jan 2018 05:19 AM PST Is there a way to see my weekly total exercise time somehow on my Apple Watch / iPhone? From the Health app I can only see weekly average. I would like to follow how many hours and minutes I exercise each week. [link] [comments]
Apple Watch emulators, ports, and projects compilation thread Posted: 12 Jan 2018 09:32 PM PST First of all I want to say that I am aware that many of these aren't practical or 100% usable. Please refrain from snarky comments. I've been hunting for tutorials or just the source code of a lot of these projects. If you've seen a cool project that I haven't listed feel free to share. Projects I've seen around the web: GIOVANNI Gameboy and Gameboy Color Emulator: (Probably the most well known emulator project for the Apple Watch. There's plenty of documentation and tutorials out there.) NES Emulator: (This needs to have similar controls to the GIOVANNI Gameboy emulator. If anyone has the proper knowhow on how to modify the control scheme please comment 💙) GBA 4 Watch: (Seems to be a GBA emulator. Have yet to test it out.) FlappyBird Controller: Projects I have yet to find a proper tutorial for: Bochs WatchOS port that runs Windows 95: (If anyone can help build this PLEASE comment!) Projects I have yet to find much documentation for: Doom on the Apple Watch: (Certainly not playable, but would be awesome to have to fiddle around with) Mac OS 7.5.5 running with a port of Mini vMac: Projects I've successfully installed and tested: https://github.com/gabrieloc/GIOVANNI [link] [comments]
Can next Apple watch PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD just do blood pressure measurements? Posted: 13 Jan 2018 05:00 AM PST They can do heart rate and that is great to keep track of health, but what about blood pressure? This is a very important thing when it comes to not dying. Why the hell in the love of god have they not implemented this yet? We need a device that keeps track BOTH of our heart rate and blood pressure at periodical times of the day. When can we expect this? Apple, come on! [link] [comments]

Deteriorating battery life? Try resetting and setting up as new Posted: 13 Jan 2018 12:41 AM PST I have an Apple Watch Series 3 42mm, and after about a month or two of fantastic battery life, i noticed my battery just not doing as well, even after i transferred phones and restored it, it just wasn't doing as well. Yesterday i reset the watch completely and set it up as new. It has been over 12 hours off the charger and i am at 81% even after some decent use. Highly recommend doing this it helped a lot! It really isn't that big of a pain, maybe 20 minutes tops. Setting it up was a breeze and i am now back to where i was before with no difference. Easy. Apple Support guy actually said he resets his on a regular basis just because it helps issues like this. Hope i helped! [link] [comments]

Anyone here on a S2 able to give some insight? Posted: 13 Jan 2018 03:30 AM PST Current OG watch user here. Had mine from May 2015 and currently on WatchOS 4. It's surprising how long this has lasted me. All runs well, expect just slightly slow. Im tempted to upgrade to the S2 (don't suggest S3, budget redirections). I can essentially trade in my SO and go to S2 for around £132.00 ($182.00 ish). I just want the freedom of GPS tracking now along with waterproofing. Anyone able to offer their experience on speed differences from S0 > S2? Also, on the waterproofing of S2, is it ok for the shower? Would just be using it to control music if anything. Cheers all [link] [comments] |
