Here's a pic of the search result layout that's different.

When I try to get on Reddit it takes me to the mobile site and endlessly loads. A lot of interfaces on websites flat out don't work. The one day I managed to switch to the desktop reddit site, I couldn't use the search bar, click the "my subreddits" button in the top left, or open images.

Anyone know what might have caused this and how to fix it? It's driving me fucking nuts.

iPhone 6, when I hover my finger over the home button the phone black screens and won't turn back on unless plugged in.

    Posted: 30 Oct 2017 11:33 PM PDT

I've been having a lot of issues with my iPhone 6 (iOS version 11.0.3). Just replaced the battery to try and fix issue #1, but that introduced issues #2 and #3.

    1. Battery goes from 70% to 0% in a couple of minutes.

I got the battery replaced the day before my newest issue has come up.

    2. If I rest my finger on the home button, the phone black screens and is pretty much bricked until I plug it in to charge.

When I do this, it shows the low battery screen, even if it's charged 100%. After that, it shows the startup screen and the phone starts back up, which leads to my next issue.

    3. Sometimes, when the phone starts up, the screen is flashing rapidly. I have to restart the phone to fix the issue.

I would greatly appreciate any insight into what could be causing these issues. I bought the phone used from a good friend, and the phone appeared to be in excellent condition.

I have tried normal and DFU restore.

Lost iphone default alarm is coming from somewhere in neighborhood presumably from teens setting off fireworks. It might have been left on a trail last night. Should I wait or should I go?

    Posted: 30 Oct 2017 10:14 PM PDT

That said I'd like to know how long an iphone's battery can last until it drains with an alarm going off full volume and probably vibrating. It's been driving me nuts and if it's longer than 2 days I'm staying somewhere else for the night since it's been going for over 20 hours.

    Thanks.

App is stuck loading and restarts don't fix it

    Posted: 30 Oct 2017 09:40 PM PDT

Our Android phone has many utility programs that will stop and clear apps, but I can't find anything in the Apple App Store. Wife has "Zynga Poker" stuck in an endless loop that even turning off for a day won't clear, and its sucking up resources badly. Is there a way (or an app) to fix this thing without deleting it (she has $ invested) ?? Much thanks :)

iphone 6 stuck on battery charging icon

    Posted: 30 Oct 2017 09:36 PM PDT

My iphone 6 died, and I plugged it in, it was able to read it (I've had problems getting a charge, like the little icon pops up that it's still uncharged even though it's plugged in), but it won't turn back on.. it's just stuck on the battery icon with a tiny red bar. It's been like this for almost 2 hours now. Any help pleasseee, I need my damn alarm for tomorrow, I hate this phone lol.

    Access to Snapchat Memories Photos

    Posted: 30 Oct 2017 08:59 PM PDT

Hi everyone, I have reason to believe that my parents have access to the photos saved under my "Snapchat Memories". Here's why I think this is true:

    1. ~2 months ago I told my parents I was studying while instead hanging out with my girlfriend. While with my gf I took a picture of me and her on Snapchat and saved it. My dad later got on my case about blowing off my studies to hang out with girls and showed me that picture as proof. I thought he got it from my phone library, and as such deleted the picture.

    2. A few weeks ago I took a trip out of town with my friends and my gf. I did not tell my parents that my gf was coming with us. My parents do not have Snapchat, but there's a saved video on my memories of me and gf sitting outside a food truck eating tacos. Later my mom got on my case for lying about who I went on the trip with during a larger fight.

    3. This past weekend I took a picture from Snapchat with my girlfriend. It was a picture of us in bed together. I saved it to my phone and immediately moved it to a private photo vault app on my phone. The picture remained on my memories. Later that night (roughly 6 hours) HER mom received an message on Facebook with the picture. Her mothers facebook is accessible from hers, as her mother is tagged in her profile picture. I did not sync my phone or even plug it into a computer in those 6 hours. My phone is set to not backup/sync over wifi. The account associated with the message is completely private and is named "Gup Buk" (seems to be gibberish?). My dad spoke to me about who I had hung out with the day before and mentioned my girlfriend (he knows her name but has not met her). He said that she seems to be a girl with poor family values and not someone I should keep seeing.

    4. My Snapchat is set that it would send me an email and log me out on my device if I accessed it from elsewhere. Neither of those happened with any of these incidents. The picture that was sent to her mother does not have the sender tag on it (I didn't send it to anyone to start with) so I know it was accessed through either my phone or my snapchat, not discreetly screenshotted through something like Phantom

I have an IPhone 6 with iOS 10.1.1. Not jail broken. Does anyone have an idea of how my parents could be accessing this information? Either through Snapchat memories or alternate means? Me and my gf are both adults (21F, 22M) and we both consider this an extreme invasion of privacy.

Found an Iphone 8 on offer up for a decent price. What do I check for to make sure I don't get scammed?

    Posted: 30 Oct 2017 08:14 PM PDT

Sorry if this is the incorrect place to post, I am in desperate need of a new phone and don't want to get scammed out of my money. I'm a college student and every penny means the world to me.

After endless browsing, I found a like new "used for two weeks only" iphone 8 64 gb for $500. The seller was initially selling it for $650 but I offered $500 and he accepted (quite easily i might say).

I checked the IMEI that appeared in the photo. The IMEIpro website said that the blacklist status and icloud status are both clean. However, find my iphone is turned on. Does this mean anything? Should I proceed to buy the phone? Is there anything else I should check or be on the lookout for before or if I meet this person?

    Thanks!

    Found an iPhone 7

    Posted: 30 Oct 2017 07:34 PM PDT

Don't know if this is the right thread but hope it is.

So I found an iPhone 7 and it's locked, obviously I don't know the password or any details about the owner. But I was wondering If I was to swap my phones storage(iPhone 6) with that phones storage would I be able to use it? Or could I buy a broken phone and replace the storage device? Or is there any way I could wipe the phone without the activation lock? Basically how could I unlock the phone so I could use it?

Cracked Screen -- remove protector and apply new one or apply new protector over top?

    Posted: 30 Oct 2017 02:14 PM PDT

I dropped my phone straight down, screen down on tiled floor and despite having one of those 7 ft drop zone cases and shatter proof yadda yadda screen protectors it cracked and a little tiny portion shatter near the home button.

Now this isn't the first time I've cracked my screen, I had it replaced only 2 months ago so I'm not looking to do it a second time. The crack and shattered portion aren't enough to make me replace it, the crack is hairline at best.

Now I went and bought a new screen protector, should I remove the old one and risk bringing up some of the glass from the shattered portion OR just put the new protector over the old protector? Or does anyone have a better solution?

    Disable Email Account

    Posted: 30 Oct 2017 04:26 PM PDT

On a 6S running iOS 11.0.3... There is an old email account (gmail) set up from a prior employer. The account hasn't been actively used on the phone for 2 years, and the password has obviously been changed. The phone's owner doesn't want to delete the account and lose the old emails in case there's a future need to have documentation of some ... stuff.

Every time the phone tries to check email it pops up a request to enter the password for that account. Older versions of the OS allowed you to disable the account, but I don't find an option for it here. On the account page, the toggle for Mail is turned on, but the entire screen is greyed out and won't allow any changes or inputs, other than the "Re-enter Password" option.

Are there any options to make the incessant password nag go away without actually deleting the account?

Cannot send or receive Live Photos after ios 11

    Posted: 30 Oct 2017 03:25 PM PDT

Since installing iOS 11, both mine and my wife's iPhones are unable to send or receive Live Photos in a message.

    • iPhone SE and 6S
    • I can take a Live Photo, share with Message app, I can see the Live circle icon in the message, as soon as its sent, the Live icon is gone and it is converted to a regular still photo. This is the case on both phones now. Live photos are able to play on the photo albums, just can't send as Live to anyone anymore.
    • The problem began after we both installed iOS 11.
    • I have not found a single result for this problem searching the web.
    • Neither phone has damage or drops.

We really like the Live photos, but I'm at a total loss at this point.

    Thanks

    Stuck on 'verifying iPhone restore'

    Posted: 30 Oct 2017 02:04 PM PDT

I just got a replacement iPhone from my insurance today, tried syncing the backup from my computer with no luck. Thinking nothing of it, I set the phone up as new and started to download some apps. I went to use my iPhone later in the day and typed the password in, for the phone to freeze. I left it for about 5 minutes and it restarted however the issue was still present. I have contacted Apple support who were predictably useless, as well as trying to restore/update my phone from both recovery and DFU mode. When I do this, I get stuck on the 'verifying iPhone restore' section, and nothing happens. Any help would be appreciated!

    6s Plus 128GB GPS Issues

    Posted: 30 Oct 2017 06:02 AM PDT

Just wondering if anyone has encountered issues with a 6s plus GPS dying shortly after you start using it. It may work for 5-10 mins but will freeze on apple or google maps after that...it just stops updating.

I have reset all settings, including reloading from DFU and not restoring my data, but the same issues occurs. I assume at this point it is some kind of hardware failure.

6S, iOS 10.3.3 (NEVER jailbroken) wanting to update to iOS 11.0.3: "You can install this update when your iPhone is finished restoring from the iCloud backup."

    Posted: 30 Oct 2017 09:32 AM PDT

I factory reset my phone, 2 days ago, because of spam on Safari (pop-up blocker activated). I restored my phone via iCloud backup and I cannot update to 11.0.3.

However, it appears that the phone is fully restored from iCloud!

And I still have spam problems on Safari.

    iPhone Backup glitching (?)

    Posted: 30 Oct 2017 06:31 AM PDT

Hi, recently I backed up my iPhone on my computer. Through finder I went to the backup and started browsing the long lines of codes. Sometimes when pressing them I would get a text file with more code, other times I received images. Some of these images however are people I do not recognize, know, or even spoke to. It's really odd that some of the photos are completely unknown to me, I would therefore like to know if there is any explanation for this occurrence.

Just got a new phone on a new contact.

    Posted: 30 Oct 2017 05:28 AM PDT

I transferred my data from my old phone (Galaxy S4) to a brand new iPhone SE. Went from Verizon to straight talk. After opening some apps like Health and Contacts everything is already filled out as my brother. We both have separate iTunes accounts and separate straight talk accounts. It's not a huge deal, I can edit it. I was just wondering why this is happening? Or if anyone else has had this issue?
