Posted: 31 Oct 2017 11:54 AM PDT Just got the 53 Pencil to take notes on OneNote, and had problems right off the bat. Emailed customer support at 53, and got the news that OneNote is officially ending support for FiftyThree Pencil in support of Apple's Pencil. [link] [comments]
Posted: 31 Oct 2017 06:52 AM PDT Last week, when I opened my iPad Pro's Smart Cover, the screen did not automatically turn on. I reset the iPad by holding down the home and power buttons. The iPad restarted, and then the screen was filled with purple lines. I took the iPad to the local Apple Store on Saturday. The Genius Bar associate, after running some diagnostics, told me my iPad was officially dead, and that there was nothing they could do to help me. I wasn't exactly satisfied with their suggestion that I spend $600 on a new tablet (I mean, this is a iPad Pro that's barely more than a year old). It has never left its case and, to my knowledge, has never even been dropped. The Genius set me up with an iPad engineer to walk me through steps that might solve this problem. Turns out that I was able to restore my iPad through iTunes on Sunday, and this problem went away completely. I was able to use my iPad like normal for the rest of the day, like nothing ever happened. And last night, the problem came back. I tried restoring the tablet again through iTunes, but no dice this time. I'm getting an error 4014. I've put the iPad on to charge for a bit (I'm trying to replicate how I solved this issue the last time), and I'll try this again tonight. Any advice? If it comes down to it, I'd replace the iPad, but I'd like to know for certain that there's faulty hardware and that this isn't just a bug. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]
iPad Pro 9.7 - Apple Pencil not fully working Posted: 31 Oct 2017 01:07 PM PDT Hello there, I have a quite a problem and already had an Apple Store appointment and they couldn't help me. When I first got the iPad Pro 9.7 I already recognized the issue but it didnt bother me much because I'm not a creative person and thought new software updates will fix the issue but there is a line across the screen that is not recognized by the pencil. Via touch it works but not while using the pencil. They have never seen such an issue but since I'm out of warranty they can't fix it and need to replace the whole device and would cost me $350. Does anyone ever had this issue or any suggestions what I could do? I started to use it for taking notes in college but it really starts to bother me now. [link] [comments]
Posted: 31 Oct 2017 09:53 AM PDT Please check your ipad pro, for science. Im just wondering if i caused this and if i have to be more careful or if it was like this in the box. It's concave on the display side. [link] [comments]
Best drawing stylus for Air 2? Posted: 31 Oct 2017 09:59 AM PDT I want to start drawing on my iPad. I have an Air 2 that I was originally going to sell but as I was preparing to wipe it I couldn't bear to let it go I think even after I replace it! In hopefully a few months I'll be getting a Pro 12.9, but right now, I want to start with the Air 2 I already have. I heard good things about Adonit, but there are many different options. I've tried sketching on my fiancé's 2015 Pro with the Pencil and it was simple enough, I'm just looking for a similar experience on the Air 2 so I don't have to blow $1200 on the Pro that I want right now. And please don't say 'Just get the Pro', if I could afford one right now I'd be doing that instead of asking about Air 2 styluses. I just want to be able to use Procreate decently. Posted: 31 Oct 2017 11:03 AM PDT This might be a rare problem, but I unfortunately purchased the BrydgeMini 7.9 keyboard from AT&T, which supposedly only supports the iPad Mini 4, and not the 1/2/3. I asked if I could exchange it for the other keyboard which supports the iPad Mini 2, but AT&T does not carry it and Brydge tells me they won't since I didn't buy it directly from them. They (Brydge) also told me that it would NOT work at all with my iPad Mini 2. But, I see no reason why it shouldn't? Aren't the physical differences between the Mini 4 and 2 like a small fraction? is anyone able to test this for me or if they have tried doing this? Thanks. [link] [comments]
Posted: 31 Oct 2017 10:55 AM PDT I have Notability on my iPad and MacBook. I sync between the two using iCloud. It's been working fine, and I definitely have enough storage space on iCloud. Recently I noticed that on my MacBook, some notes are not appearing. I have 1704 notes, and this number appears on both my iPad and my MacBook. On my iPad, every single note appears and it works fine and I can open everything. On my MacBook, I noticed that some notes - though they title is there - are greyed out and say "Downloading..." underneath the title. I click to open the note, and the message says "Unable to open note. Please wait for the note to complete downloading from iCloud before opening it." I also realized that these notes appear in the "unfilled notes" folder (they've been moved there) - 709 of them. Almost half of my notes. However, when I organize notes by date, it is clear that there is no temporal pattern as to which notes cannot be opened. Oddly enough, when I add a new note to Notability via my MacBook (where Notability sync is having issues), it will immediately sync to my iPad. I think this is why I never noticed any issues, until I went back to find an older note in a different folder. I completed steps 1 through 9 listed here and it still is not working - exact same issue. Before I go through and reset my iCloud password, I just wanted to check... have any of you had this issue and resolved it? Does the fact that SOME of my notes appear, AND I can sync new notes across devices suggests that it's actually a different problem? [link] [comments]
How deep is your black? Screen photos while in dark environment needed! Posted: 31 Oct 2017 01:33 PM PDT There's a great song with similar title by Bee Gees. I curently own a Note Pro 12.2, an old Samsung tablet. I use it mostly for netflix, and some "gaming" Infinitode mostly.. you can imagine. I can't stand the blackness lvl of the Note's screen. I owned Samsungs family devices starting back from S8500 Wave I, and that from S1 to 2,3,4,5,6e+,7e+, and notes from N1, N2, N3, N4. Now I'm using OP5, and for me there is no screen as good as amoled. Now I can go to a shop which has iPadPro 10.5 which I'm mostly interested in, but they won't organise "lights off" condidion for me. Nor can I find any picures of iPpro in darkness. Will I be pleased with black deepness on this device ? Or should I go with SM-W720? I can have iPad for 2800 of my currency and Samsung for 3000.. :) Help me out please reddit comunity, like you always do! [link] [comments]
How do I stop my Apple Pencil from discharging while carrying in my briefcase all day? Posted: 31 Oct 2017 01:32 PM PDT I don't even use it and it is dead at the end of the day. Doesn't happen when I'm at home on the weekend. [link] [comments]
Is it bad for my iPad to leave the screen on 24/7? Posted: 31 Oct 2017 02:48 AM PDT My screen won't turn on immediately with the power button or the home button and usually just flashes and goes black however if you keep trying it will eventually turn on. Once the screen is on though it works flawlessly, so I want to just leave the screen on and never turn it off. Will that cause any damage to my iPad if I do that? [link] [comments]
Posted: 31 Oct 2017 06:30 AM PDT Hi, As title. Have googled the hell out of it, forced reset, 3uTools, Rieboot - all to no avail. Pretty sure its a hardware issue now. Has anyone else had experience of this, just want to know if its worth going down the repair path or just give up Cheers Bryan [link] [comments]
Help with iPad Pro 10.5” Cases - How Did You Protect It? Posted: 31 Oct 2017 10:12 AM PDT Would you opt for MoKo's Clear Case or Poetic's Lumos Transparent Case? MoKo Case would work with Tomtoc Case size-wise since the Poetic Case reportedly doesn't zip up due to the pencil slot bulge. Can anyone help me decide? Both are reviewed quite nicely. I've been undecisive about these options for a while. How did you protect your iPad Pro? [link] [comments]

Daily heavy use experience - any eye strain? Posted: 30 Oct 2017 10:40 PM PDT I recently purchased the iPad Pro 10.5". My objective was to completely replace paper. I'm a Ph.D. student and I figured it'll be great to look back at those research notes many years down the line (as opposed to trashing notebooks every year or so). The plan worked well, the pencil with the 120Hz refresh rate feels as good as writing with a pen on paper. However, I notice that on days when I use my iPad intensely, my vision feels blurred after a few hours of use. My theory is that this is because we tend to keep the iPad closer to our eyes and intensely focus on one location while writing. It's a real shame since I really want to continue using the iPad. Now I'm wondering if I should return it. Has anyone else felt the same issue and if so, how have you dealt with it? TL;DR: Eye feels strained and blurred on continuous use. Has anyone else faced the same problem and if so, how have you dealt with it? [link] [comments]
Full size previews of photos on SD card for import Posted: 30 Oct 2017 05:22 PM PDT Been searching for an app that lets you import JPEGs off an SD card based on full-screen (or large) previews. Any tips? (Only found discontinued Photosmith.) I'd like to go to iPad-only mobile workflow, but without having to import the 20 rejects from every shot on continuous high. Even a way to view imported files with larger thumbnails and batch delete would be amazing. Usually don't need to process much. [link] [comments]
Just got an iPad, should I upgrade to iOS 11? Posted: 30 Oct 2017 09:43 PM PDT Just got the 5th gen iPad , should I stick with iOS 10 for the moment till iOS 11 is bug free? [link] [comments]
iPad Air 2 battery drain on iOS 11 Posted: 30 Oct 2017 05:51 PM PDT I have seen this issue posted a couple of times but the posters ended up finding a resolution. And I have yet to find one. When I charge my iPad Air 2 fully i will leave it 24 hours and come back and the battery will have dropped around 15% and when I go into battery it will show no apps with usage but it shows my usage as over 8 hours when it hasn't been used at all, just left with the cover closed and make sure I hear the click when I close the cover. I bought my iPad less than a year ago and the battery life has been fantastic on iOS 10, I could literally not use it for weeks and open it up and still have juice left. What the hell has happened!? I have tried to restore via iTunes, I don't have anything that drains battery turned on ever like background app refresh and I don't leave any background apps running when I lock it. This has only been an issue since upgrading to iOS 11. Does anyone have suggestions or are experiencing the same issues? [link] [comments] |
