How can I simplify the iPad 2017 model 9.7” for my 75 year old mom? Posted: 26 Oct 2017 11:45 AM PDT I want to make it as simple as possible to use. What settings should I choose? [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Oct 2017 01:20 PM PDT I have a lot of photos on the app in different folders and having the preview thumbnail made it very easy to find the one I needed. This morning it stopped showing previews. It also stopped auto-downloading files when I opened a sub-folder. I don't think it's a space issue: I have over 20GB of free space on the iPad, 30GB of free space on iCloud, and the app is only using 23MB. Is there a cache or something I need to clear? Does it stop working when the battery is low? Am I missing something obvious? iPad Air 2 Model: A1566 [link] [comments]
Help choosing app to combine and note PDF files Posted: 26 Oct 2017 10:31 AM PDT Hi everyone! I recently broke my leg and I will have to be at home with my leg up for a while. I would like to be able to do some work from home, but I need to be able to combine multiple PDFS and make notes on them. I would like to download PDF files from multiple websites, save them, open a program and be able to combine all of the saved files into one continuous PDF. (Instead of sending each PDF as their own attachment.) I feel like I may be overthinking this. I just got my iPad Pro, so there may be features I can use that I do not know about. Thank you for your time and help!! [link] [comments]

Posted: 26 Oct 2017 01:16 PM PDT Just upgraded from an iPad Mini 2 to an iPad Pro 10.5"! I would like to take PowerPoint files that professors provide me with to annotate over them in Microsoft OneNote. Trying to open the powerpoint in OneNote simply inserts it as a powerpoint file. I would like to find a way to open it as a pdf to write over it in OneNote. If this is not possible, any good recommendations for software that can allow me to do this? Thanks! [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Oct 2017 09:02 AM PDT I restored my ipad as new and realized the news app was no where to be found whereas before it was there. What gives? Is it because I'm in Canada? [link] [comments]
Has anyone removed the built-in screen protector on an Otterbox Defender case? Posted: 26 Oct 2017 05:11 AM PDT Just got an iPad Pro 10.5, and I'm trying to sort through all of the case options. I really like the Defender, but the built-in screen protector is trash. Are there any issues with removing it and using a tempered glass protector? I've seen this done with other Defender cases, but I wanted to make sure there wasn't any kind of wobble in the case with the Pro. [link] [comments]
Has anyone used or uses BufferEditor? Posted: 26 Oct 2017 12:34 PM PDT I've been deciding between it and Coda, unsure of which one to go for. I really like the overall features and design of BufferEditor, and it's cheaper as well. So for anyone that has used it, what are your thoughts on it? Is it polished and does it perform well? How is its Terminal/SSH Client? Thanks! [link] [comments]

Posted: 26 Oct 2017 10:44 AM PDT Not sure if I should buy their iPad 10.5" 256GB with the $125 discount or wait for Black Friday sales. It makes me nervous seeing sales when Black Friday is a few weeks away! Is it safe to make the purchase now? Anyone know when this sale ends? I missed out on their last one (for $75 discount and also $100) and now they have this one. When will they update the iPad Pro line? Will Apple release a new one in 2018? [link] [comments]

A desktop like browser to replace puffin? Posted: 26 Oct 2017 09:54 AM PDT I need a browser that can download to the cloud and to my device, that can show some specific webpages from my country government (tax declaration and other stuff like that) that works with my job mail (called quipux I can't seem to make it work on safari) so I basically need a browser that is exactly like the one on a desktop computer. I have happily relied on puffin for about 7 years now, but lately it doesn't support downloads to the cloud and when I download something to the device all I got is a .html file instead of a rar, any suggestions to fix this issues [link] [comments]
iPad Pro 10.5 keyboard cases with smart connector? Posted: 25 Oct 2017 11:53 PM PDT Just bought a 10.5 pro and I was looking to accessorize it. I couldn't find any keyboards cases apart from the apple one and a couple from logitech. Do you guys know of any? [link] [comments]
Annoying Obsolete Banner App Notifications Posted: 26 Oct 2017 08:15 AM PDT The only notifications I have on my iPad are banners for certain apps so I'll be notified when I'm actually using my iPad. I don't use badge app icons like I do on my iPhone because my iPhone is my primary device. Typically, I only use my iPad at night and the first time I unlock it every night, every banner notification that I saw during the day on my phone rolls in and it's really annoying to wait for them to finish. They're no longer useful to me. Any way to tell the software to forget about notifications I've already dealt with on other devices? [link] [comments]
Posted: 25 Oct 2017 03:24 PM PDT If the Pencil 2 adds haptic feedback, that would make it even better. It would give people who already own the current Pencil a reason to buy a new one. [link] [comments]
How to jailbreak original IPad Posted: 25 Oct 2017 04:39 PM PDT Looking for the pros and cons of jailbreaking my original 16gb iPad. Does the battery drain much quicker with the update? Is it worth the attempt? What are the sites or apps to use for this? Thanks. [link] [comments]
Wobbly lightning port and no sound Posted: 25 Oct 2017 07:07 PM PDT Sorry for the long ramble... You know that saying, "buy cheap buy twice"? Just under over year ago my iPad Air 1 was slowly going from charging/not charging on and off and then finally never wanting to charge. Tried different cables etc etc but that and the wobbly lightning port I thought it was time to get it looked at. Shopped around for the best price and paid around £40 for a port repair. After a little issue with the company and reading all the negative reviews the iPad came home with a perfectly working port. So much relief, however I realised the speakers no longer worked. I sent a few emails and finally I never got any more replies. Thinking I'd dogged a bullet I left it as that and as I mostly have my iPad on mute it was only an issue a handful of times over the year. Then the issue really started to annoy me, and now the port is wobbly again and I'm getting charging not charging issue infrequently. It's starting again... My questions: I have my iPad charged in almost exclusively as I use it (most of the day for work and fun). I know the Cable getting caught / tripped over has almost certainly caused the wobbly port. Unless anyone has another culprit? Should it have lasted longer than a year for the repair? I use and charge my iPhone in the same way and I don't get loose port issue. Could I secure it without it needing a soldering Job? I.e the fix is where the connection is. Not on the other end? Did they even resolder? What's the likely scenario for why the repair caused the no sound? could the technician just have left the connection out? Has he killed the Cable? What's the best case and worse case scenario? I've opened up an iPhone did a mediocre job (screen and battery replacement) and my shoddy repair didn't last. Opened it up again to replace bezel, still in pieces still in my office. Ended up getting a new (second hand) one. Scared to do the same to my iPad. Should I try fix my iPad myself? I think repair shops will charge me for two repairs? Money is even tighter than last year and I can live without sound but not with a non charging port. Should I see if someone will do both for a fixed fee? Open the pad up myself and see if the sound issue is an easy fix? Tl;dr A repair shop simultaneously fixed and broke my iPad. Want help. [link] [comments]
MOST protective case for 2017 12.9 Posted: 25 Oct 2017 09:53 PM PDT hello everyone, I'm going on vacation in about two weeks and have this pretty solid north face backpack with a hard-ish back shell, but i'm still worried about my ipad! the screen is just so big and seems so easy to crack. right now i have this case and it's pretty solid. does anyone have a super tough case with a focus on screen protection they recommend? I'm trying to avoid also bringing my mbp but i might put that in the laptop sleeve in the backpack and have the ipad right after it with the screen facing the laptop. or am i overthinking this :) [link] [comments]
VerbTeX vs texpad vs Tex Writer: best LateX app on iOS? Posted: 25 Oct 2017 03:47 PM PDT Well that's basically it; I am ok with VerbTeX free but I can't work with the two project limit and I would like the possibility to compile offline; what app between these is the best? [link] [comments] |
