    Does anyone know the process that will happen on pre-order night for the X?

    I already did the pre-approval I just wanna know from those that did the 8 what actually happens during the pre-order.

    Is a simple 1 click buy now and hit accept and it ships?

    I'm asking because my wife's iPhone is under my name. And I was wondering what the steps are.

    I already did the pre approval for her with my credit card info and the such. Will she just need to open the app, click buy now and then click confirm or is there anymore info that will be inputted (I already put all my info in her phone). Does it require Touch ID to complete?

    Anyone getting the feeling that iPhone X supply will be a lot better than expected?

    Obviously anyone who's reading this sub has seen all the doom and gloom tight supply predictions over the past weeks/months. I led up to this week expecting the worst, that maybe this is the first time in preordering the iPhone every year for 6-7 years that I won't be getting it on launch day.

    However, this week has been giving me hope. First we see Apple's aggressive marketing posters they put up around cities, on billboards, and on buildings. Seems like a pretty big marketing leap for something that's supposedly going to be sold out within a day for the next 2-4 months. Whatever, it is their prized 10th anniversary iPhone so I can't blame them for the aggressive marketing.

    And then yesterday, Apple covers their front page with iPhone X. Wow they're really throwing this out there. Wouldn't it be bad if no one was really able to buy one till next year though?

    Then, I had a question about my wireless contract yesterday so I contacted ATT. After they solved my issue I just took a shot in the dark and asked if they knew how tight their own supply will be. He goes;

    "Usually each store right now is receiving 200 iPhone 8's per day and are usually selling out within 5 hours. We expect to be receiving a little bit more. Though, there will be a lot of supply for online orders."

    Wow. That would be great. There's also others online with similar experiences with ATT, Verizon, and Apple employees all being optimistic. I know, I know, they usually shouldn't be trusted with supply amounts from Apple. It just strikes me as a little odd that they are all echoing the same sentiments.

    And then finally the other day, in the Chicago Apple Store interview with Tim Cook. He got asked about the supply constraints and basically said they're moving as fast as they can and we'll see what happens. Usually Tim gives non-answers, but it sounded decently reassuring to me.

    Regardless if any of these hold water or if there's going to be 4 people receiving iPhone X's next week, I'll be preordering with the rest of you. Hope it works out for us.

    New era for charging cases? With inductive charging now on iPhone, could a company make a charging case without having to use the lightening port? Would definitely make for a better looking and more practical charging case.

    Wife wants to preorder iPhone X from Apple, but she's paying for her current phone through ATT.

    My wife wants to switch over to the Apple payment plan for her new iPhone X and she's currently paying ATT for her current iPhone. When I switched over, Apple payed me the rest of the amount due to ATT for the phone and I continued to pay off my old phone with that money (after handing it in to Apple) while I instantly got a new phone from Apple on their payment plan. She wants to preorder as soon as it goes live tonight, so is there a way for her to do this process tonight or will she have to go into a store in the next couple of days to do it?

    So I have had the iPhone 8 for a month or two now and I noticed an issue. When I get a message or notification the screen with the notification stays on. Sometimes when the phone is in my pocket and I don't feel or hear it the screen will stay on and kill my battery. The screen should auto go to sleep in 1 minute but sometimes it doesn't.
