Remove/Turn off Now Playing in Control Center? Posted: 08 Jun 2022 06:32 PM PDT Hey y'all, Been looking far and wide for this and hoping someone here has an answer. Basically, the Now Playing section of the Control Center keeps holding on to whatever I played last (screenshot attached) and doesn't like to clear. This is annoying because my Mac will randomly start playing audio from websites that I've long closed or navigated away from. Additionally, my headphones that dual-connect to my personal and work laptop, keep thinking that my personal device is playing something, even when it's not. My suspicion is that it's because of the Now playing section as something it'll auto play that content when I connect my headphones. Does anyone else run into this issue? Please help! Having trouble with migration assistant Posted: 08 Jun 2022 05:15 PM PDT Hello, I am trying to transfer about 400 GB of data from a very old iMac (2011) to an M1 Mac mini via migration assistant, but it is painfully slow. For the past hour, the transfer rate has varied between 2 KB/s to 1.5 MB/s, averaging at ~200KB/s, and has been estimating only 4 hours until completion. It started doing this at about 30%. In the first hour of migration, is has been transferring at a nice 50 MB/s. The two computers are directly connected between each other via Cat 5e Ethernet. What are my options?
