| My lightning connecter on my iPhone 8 is not working Posted: 11 Jun 2022 07:25 PM PDT It fully charged overnight, then when I checked my phone this morning it had stopped charging. I plugged it in different ways, I pushed it in and tried putting it on an angle and nothing was working. I kind of ignored it and thought it was my charger so I moved on. Then, as I was walking home later today, I tried plugging my earphones in my phone and it wouldn't connect. I just tried it with someone else's charger and it didn't work and then I tried it with another charger and that one weirdly immediately worked every way I turned it. I noticed that that one was tighter and clicked in while the other ones softly plug in, but all have worked previously so I'm not sure if that's helpful. I tried soft resetting, hard resetting, cleaning it out, blowing it and shaking just in case there was water in it. I also noticed that at one point when plugged in my charger it said "unlock iPhone to use accessories". I unlocked it twice and no notification came up for me to allow it and I haven't seen it since. —> Possible problems may be water vapour causing problems from shower steaming up the bathroom last night because I forgot to turn the exhaust fan on. I'm using an iPhone 8 on the most current iOS version. I'm wanting to connect to two Bluetooth speakers, one is a set of powered Klipsch speakers (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FKCP7PZ/) and the other is an Audioengine bluetooth receiver (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MHTGZR4). One of these connects to speakers in my room, the other in my living room. I'd like to be able to connect two both at the same time. Does anyone know how I can make this happen? | Iphone 13 pro max flickering red tint when brightness set to anything higher than 0 Posted: 11 Jun 2022 03:19 PM PDT Hi, my wife's 3 months old Iphone 13 Pro Max (IOS 15.5) got a red tint all of a sudden, and after restarting and trying out various internet advice (including banging on the back to fix cable connection), the only thing that helps is turning the brightness all the way down. Usually when I call this person the first time, it goes straight to voicemail. But the second call always goes through and I know that that's how DND works. Recently I've been calling this person and without even ringing, it goes straight to voicemail every single time. I know it's not because I'm blocked because I tried calling on other peoples phone's as well. Does this mean their phone is off? Its already been reported stollen through my carrier and has a carrier lock on it. When looking into deleting the phone remotely I found that it can be done through find my iPhone from your iCloud, well when I looked into it I guess I had never had find my iPhone enabled on my iPhone so it doesn't show up and I don't have that option. I know Android users do this frequently and the only known issue is that it (understandably) slows down charging. Is it actually dangerous to use an iPhone while it is charging? And if so - why? More often than I should, when I turn my phone sideways to watch shows or play games, I accidentally hit the power button and scramble to get back to where I was. Is it possible to disable the power button when horizontal OR require that I hold the button for a second rather than one press to use it? I bought an m1 macbook pro last year and when i try to setup hey siri, it kept saying "i didn't quite catch that please try again". I recently got an iphone 13 pro and i tried again but the same problem happens. I tried saying "hey siri" in different accents, voice pitch, outdoors, indoors no matter how much i try it does not understand me. I even got my parents and 2 friends to try, and they all complete the setup with ease on my devices. Even the voice from google translate has no problems. I thought my apple id might be the problem so i have also tried using my voice to setup hey siri on a friends iphone and macbook but the same happens. I can't complete the hey siri setup on his devices also. So the problem is my voice? But when i manually trigger from the power button siri understands every single word. I can request songs, i ask it to tell jokes, i ask about the weather or to control my homekit devices and it understands me every time. On my iphone and on my mac. I cant figure out what the problem is. | Posted: 11 Jun 2022 07:29 AM PDT All the sudden when swiping up on Lock Screen it would never do Face ID I had to keep entering my passcode. Tried a bunch of restarts which didn't help. In settings it showed Face ID with mask was off so wasn't sure if that was the issue so reset Face ID completely. Then I couldn't even set up Face ID it said, "Face ID Is Not Available". Did more restarts and let phone sit off for a while. I can't even set up Face ID anymore, just will not scan my face. Currently isn't giving that same error. What's going on!!? Losing my mind on this. Not doing a full phone reset either. Is it cuz my facial hair has grown in more in the past week?! Never was an issue before. This used to be flawless. My other iPhone is fine. And yes I've cleaned the sensor. Front camera works. And I do have a screen protector that doesn't cover the notches that I've had for almost a year now that has worked fine. I tried putting the phone into recovery mode and using both iTunes and 3U flash methods to fix it, but both ways failed, and the phone is still stuck on the apple icon. Could someone please advise me on how to resolve this issue? I have years' worth of sentimental photos on this device (not backed up to iCloud) and would be devastated if I lost them.
