For those on WatchOS 9, can it now track sleep outside the sleep focus time? Posted: 10 Jun 2022 01:34 PM PDT So WatchOS will only track sleep when you're in sleep mode. If you set up your sleep schedule from 10PM to 6AM, but you decide to sleep in a little until 7AM it will refuse to acknowledge that extra hour of sleep. Your bedtime ended at 6AM so that's when you must've woken up. Period. Now that WatchOS 9 had better sleep tracking…is that issue solved? [link] [comments]
Turning off screen/locking while using? Posted: 10 Jun 2022 01:52 PM PDT I'm new to the game and this might be a dumb question. Is there a way to temporarily lock the screen while still wearing the watch? The issue I'm having is when I'm wearing gloves, the cuff of the glove is touching the screen and causing the watch to wake up and accessing features(dialing, changing music, etc). Thanks in advance, google wasn't very helpful! [link] [comments]
Swimming in the beach with a S7 on? Posted: 10 Jun 2022 09:33 AM PDT Has anyone tried using it on the beach? Is there any issue with that? [link] [comments]
How do I turn off news notifications? Posted: 10 Jun 2022 09:36 AM PDT I have tried going to the Apple Watch app on my iPhone and turning news notifications to off but it doesn't seem to change it. I just got this SE model and I believe it is fully updated. It is pretty distracting to get news updates when I'm studying [link] [comments]

Watch os 9 workout intervals and heart rate zones? Posted: 10 Jun 2022 01:25 PM PDT So just wondering if anyone think or has used the beta to see how the Watch os 9 intervals and heart rate zones compare to WorkOutDoors? [link] [comments]
apple watch prooving that things are not off when they should be :) Posted: 10 Jun 2022 01:23 PM PDT I guess we all know it anyway, but the apple watch actually does provide sorta proof that even in Airplane Mode, the phone isn't really "off" when it comes to Radio stuff. like enable Sleep or DND modes on the watch while the Phone is in Airplane Mode, the phone will instantly confirm and change the mode as well ... the downside of that is that the watch will still try to use the phone for connectivity and take forever to fail and switch to LTE .. which can be quite annoying. like if you walk off the phone the watch almost immediately switches to LTE, but if you set your phone to plane-mode it will take 5min+ until the watch gives up and falls back to LTE. i'm actually surprised there is no drama about this ;) [link] [comments]
Should we get an Apple Watch for mom? Posted: 10 Jun 2022 01:15 PM PDT My brother proposed getting an Apple Watch for our mom (72) which I thought was crazy, until he told me it's basically a first alert that can read vital signs. Ok, I'm suddenly more convinced than not. But my mom doesn't have an iPhone, and wouldn't choose to own one on her own. We could also buy her an iPhone, but, then that's nearly a grand. Plus she's as tech savvy as the stereotypes would predict someone her age to be. What Watch features offer piece of mind? Will these features work without an iPhone? If not, what models are this current generation (and their features) compatible with? [link] [comments]
Posted: 10 Jun 2022 02:33 AM PDT Is there an app that I can use completely without my phone or any kind of internet to navigate me around a city? I know WorkOutDoors, but it just has a map and no navigation feature (correct me if I'm wrong) Thanks! Edit: I'm looking mostly for an app where I can spontaneously enter a destination on my watch and it guides me there without Internet or any routes that I configured before. On the iPhone, there are many apps for exactly this purpose (like HereWeGo) and because the watch now has 32GBs of storage, I was thinking there might be something similar for the watch. Series 4 watchOS 9 compatibility Posted: 10 Jun 2022 02:49 AM PDT I have series 4. Updated to watch OS 9 yesterday. However, metrics such as vertical oscillation ,running power do not appear. Is it because there is no compass function in apple watch 4? What about SE owners who updated to watch OS 9? Do you see running power? I used google translator sorry for bad english [link] [comments]
Posted: 10 Jun 2022 11:09 AM PDT Anyone here wear their watch while boxing on a bag? Under the wraps and gloves. That's my workout and looking to see if an Apple Watch would be worthwhile! [link] [comments]
Weird stain? On a brand new SE 44m Posted: 10 Jun 2022 08:54 AM PDT Hey friends, I picked up my brand new series SE 44mm watch yesterday at Costco. I found today there is this weird stain which maybe a manufacturer defect on the watch band. All I have used the watch for was charging it overnight. So I was wondering if anyone had something similar on their bands as well? Right now I am wondering if it's worth going back and exchange for a different watch entirely since costco only sell these two at a bundle. Resting energy is hogwash (AW series 4) Posted: 10 Jun 2022 03:47 AM PDT Been using AW for 3 years now. Despite losing weight about 12 kgs in the past 6 months, I see no change in the resting every.. in fact there are months when I was heavier & still resting energy was low. Was naive enough to use AW resting energy (I wear the watch for 22 hours a day) with averaging the hours (charging at different times of the day) I don't wear I found it is completely off the point.. Averaging 2000-2100 sometimes even crossing 2200 .. my TDEE is going over 3400 on many days.. There's just no way this can be possible as no online calculator is even close to this number (tried several methods & averaged them .. finally got the number at 2700 TDEE by trial and error with calorie deficit) Male / 168 cm / 190 pounds (86.4 kgs) as on today [link] [comments]
Won an Apple Watch in a sweepstakes!! Posted: 09 Jun 2022 04:33 PM PDT Like the title says, I recently won an Apple Watch via a sweepstakes. I've always wanted one and am really excited to figure this thing out. Problem is I work in construction and am really scared I'm going to break/scratch the watch. Is there any other ways to wear it so that it's not so exposed? And will the fitness tracker still be accurate if worn somewhere other than the wrist? [link] [comments]
Cool (as in temperature) strap? Posted: 09 Jun 2022 07:28 PM PDT What strap works best for hot days and when exercising? I have whatever rubbery band my Series 7 came with and it can get sweaty under there. [link] [comments] |
