I can see the loading bar but it is blocked. Weird bug with iMessage and Samsung phone Posted: 09 Jun 2022 12:34 PM PDT I recently opened a new line for my mom, and she has a samsung phone My dad tried sending her text and it auto detected iMessage I was called down to help out, I called the number to make sure it was right. My mom's phone is able to text my dad's phone with no problem My dad's phone cannot text back, because it's defaulted to iMessage Here's the fun part, the person WROTE BACK. He messaged back "hey i think you have the wrong number" and right under that, was the "Test" message I wrote from my mom's phone to my dad's phone. So basically 2 people are using the same number. I turned my dad's iMessage off and I was able to text from his phone to my mom's phone perfectly fine. I can't expect everyone to just turn off iMessage when texting my mom though. I called ATT for help, after an hour they said they'll send a new sim and it'll "PROBABLY" fix the issue. Anyone ever experienced anything like this? Help! Notifications totally broken on multiple devices Posted: 09 Jun 2022 11:59 AM PDT My texts are not notifying on my iPhone or my Apple Watch Lock Screen nor any sounds playing on either. But the alerts show up on my iMac and my MacBook and the alert sounds play. The banners show up in the Lock Screen but there is no vibration and no sound. I have checked everything I think: Neither device has the mute enabled. Phone plays ringtones on calls. Focus is not on (this is a horrific thing that should be killed with fire) Alerts are enabled for messages Watch set to "mirror iPhone" on notifications (so, theoretically if I fix one the other should follow) If the phone screen is unlocked and the messages app is open I get text banners and sound on the phone, but the watch does not show anything until I tilt my wrist, then I see the notification but never hear a sound Lock Screen setting is "always" for show previews I have restarted the phone All of this is driving me nuts. My issue is a while back I watched a review and a 18:9 video slightly cut into the end of the notch and the person remarked its likely a bug and probably will be fixed. iPhone 13 pro battery Posted: 09 Jun 2022 04:31 AM PDT I bought my iPhone 13 pro 2 months ago, and couple weeks earlier my screen just randomly shut off, like just blacked out but the phone was working I can feel the vibration when I get calls even the Bluetooth was working but the screen wouldn't turn on. I tried the quick reset (tapping volume buttons followed by a press on power button) and it turned the display on for like 2 seconds. After 4-5 hours the screen started to turn on for like 8-9 seconds then it completely turned on after 1 or 2 more hours but then the screen was glitching like some part of it was barely lighting up or something and after a while the phone was completely normal again, except now I felt like the battery was draining much faster I used to have the battery last whole day with like 80% charge and at the end of the day it would be 20ish% but now the battery gets done from 100% to 10-14% in like 4-5 hours maybe? (I do use the phone alot tho) but I take care of the battery too (I don't let the battery be below 20% not charge past 80%) the health is still 100% but it's hard to do all that now because it's eating through the battery and I have to use the phone Has anyone else had a similar problem? For several years I use iCloud mailbox in native mail app on iPhone I don't receive notifications about new mails. If my WiFi and cellular data are turned off, I receive an email to iCloud email in the native mail app, then, when I turn on WiFi or cellular data, I don't receive push notifications. I need to open the mail app manually to recognize if I've got new emails. If a new email arrives during the time when the WiFi and cellular data are turned on, it pushes the old notification and a new one comes out. The kids have Androids and when they call her, everything works the way it should.
