I was deleting literally hundreds of threads that probably accumulated multiple thousands of texts and messages and was flying through and "reported them as junk" to Apple. Or so I thought I did. Do these messages that get reported as junk get saved anywhere? Do they save somewhere in my iCloud account or on my phone or is it the same as deleting them. Thanks for the assistance. | Removing payment method/iCloud question Posted: 05 Jun 2022 11:56 AM PDT Hi all, My sister has recently been trying to remove a debit card that was our mother's. We have since closed that account down as she passed away last month. It seems that iOS has some sort of bug meaning that the card cannot be removed despite there being two other payment methods available. In my research; I discovered that you can remove the payment method by cancelling all subscriptions. Problem is that her only subscription is a 50GB iCloud back up and she's well into her allowance already. The question I'm asking is…if I cancel the subscription, delete the debit card in question and re-enable the subscription, would that data be retrievable once the iCloud account was reactivated? | Edited Photos Not Showing in iMovie Posted: 05 Jun 2022 07:22 AM PDT Working in iMovie, and edited all the photos for color/sharpness prior using the iPhone's software (13 pro). When I upload the photos to the movie, none of the edits are present. If I go back into the folder, the edits are still applied. Is there a step I'm missing? Can I use a USB switch to alternate between the two, just hit a button every few days to share the device? Maybe when reminded by Time Machine that a backup hasn't been done in a while? (I like this as it lets me give out unique addresses which I can then filter into mailboxes or spam.) I'm very moderately tech literate, but not advanced. My current mail provider is going down so I need to change host. I'm wondering about just using Apple+ as I pay for it anyway. But it looks like this only allows a handful of specific email addresses. Can anyone confirm this? | Does anyone have any tips on getting good photos of pets with an iPhone 13/13 Mini camera? Posted: 05 Jun 2022 01:53 PM PDT Hey! So basically what the title says. A bit of context though; I bought a 13 Mini intending to replace my Pixel 6 Pro, and now I've got a choice to make as the mini's return window is just about up. The Mini is better in almost every respect, except for the display, RAM and the cameras. I think I can live with the worse RAM management and slower display tech, but the cameras are the part that are making my decision on which phone to keep very difficult, as I use the cameras on my phones quite a lot. I know I'm comparing phones with very different camera setups here, but I've been having difficulty getting my iPhone to get anywhere near what the pixel can do, especially when it comes to taking pictures of my most common subject; our black cats, which often come out as little black voids on the iPhone. I've tried messing with the photographic styles, adjusting the exposure, but I've not managed to get anything close to what the Pixel delivers. As a comparison, here's an example from my Pixel, and an example with the 13 Mini Obviously the Pixel kind of goes a little OTT with the sharpening etc, but it at least means you can make out more. I've also had some issues with pictures of people not being as good either, more washed out, inaccurate skin tones and with less detail than photos taken with the Pixel. I feel as though maybe I could just use some general iPhone camera tips, as I've seen some lovely pictures out there which I haven't been able to get close to! TL;DR: I'm struggling to get good pictures of my black cats with my iPhone 13 mini camera, any tips would be great! Cheers! [link] [comments] |
