Group text with ukraine. iMessage a good option?

    Posted: 01 Mar 2022 01:26 AM PST

I have never used the group text feature. I have to pick up ukrainian friends at the border and wanted to do this via group text. Does it switch between text (SMS) and iMessage if someone does not have internet reception?

    iPhone Help

    Posted: 01 Mar 2022 12:17 AM PST

I was walking home from school under an umbrella in the rain earlier today. My bag got all wet and my iPhone XR now has yellow lines running vertically all over it. What should I do? I have left it powered off in a tea towel to try and dry it since I got home a couple of hours ago.

How to put password on apps

    Posted: 28 Feb 2022 11:39 PM PST

Hi, I'm an IOS user (ver 15.3.1) just wondering if you know any way to put password on your apps? The shortcuts one don't work because if u slide left, you can click the app and you don't need to put password there at all. Thank you so much!

iPhone 6s Plus Loud Speaker Mesh Pushed in and Dislocated

    Posted: 28 Feb 2022 11:39 PM PST

While I was cleaning my iPhone 6s Plus loud speaker, I made the mistake of using a needle and cleaned too hard and three of the speaker grills got pushed too far inside (8-10mm) and seem to be a little loose (rattling sounds when I shake my phone). The speaker still works well though, and the phone still sounds pretty clear when I play videos and music. In this case, would it be worth it to replace the grills? If I don't, would my phone be even more vulnerable to dust/lint accumulation and would it be more difficult to clean my phone now that the speaker grills are loose? Thanks!

Iphone 11 won’t work on metro. Have I been scammed?

    Posted: 28 Feb 2022 11:33 PM PST

I had an iPhone 8 and recently just bought an iPhone 11. Both phones are unlocked, so that's not the problem. Now I know that the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 11 use the same SIM card type (mini-sim), but for some reason, it won't work for the 11 on the 11. It says unlocked and sees that the sun is with metro, but it says "phone not allowed." I've tried resetting the network, I've tried turning the phone off and on, and I tried putting in and taking out the sim. Was I scammed? Or is apple/metro being money-hungry again? Should I go up there and see if they can transfer my phone over?

issues with Icloud backup/ how to restore accidentally deleted texts?

    Posted: 28 Feb 2022 09:56 PM PST

when I was deleting junk texts today, I accidentally deleted my text thread with my girlfriend. I reference that thread all the time and want it back. i read that you can restore to an old back up and end up with your old texts from the time of the backup.

so i reset the phone to factory and restore to a backup from a month ago, and for some reason it is restoring to my texts from today, rather than texts from a month ago. how do I get it to restore my texts?

    Ticking sound during phone calls

    Posted: 28 Feb 2022 08:43 PM PST

Hey! Ive had my iPhone 12 Pro Max for a while now and Ive noticed that sometimes when I call I hear a ticking sound in the background that no one else can hear. It sounds like a clock or something. It is affected by the speaker mode and will get louder/quieter as if the person on the other end of the call has an obnoxiously loud clock. It is there even if that person is muted too. It also will occasionally go away. Any ideas?
