I'm using this charging stand from Belkin https://www.belkin.com/chargers/smartwatch/boost-charge-3-in-1-wireless-charger-for-apple-devices/p/p-wiz001/ (item code WIZ001vfBK), which I assumed would be high quality, but the QI charging pad for the phone makes a high pitched noise. It's pretty loud and it gets a bit better if I remove my phone case, but still audible. I'm using the cable and block that was provided with the product. I'm disappointed by this, as it's not a cheap stand and Apple sells this brand too. I'm inclined to just return it, but want to give it one last chance. Thanks in advance for any advice. Edit: it doesn't make any noise with the Apple watch charger or the smaller QI pad for the AirPods by the way. [link] [comments] | ||

Sometimes it doesn't play the song, but rather plays one of the default alarm sounds. Does anyone know why it does that? | Display automatically washes out dark colours. Posted: 06 Mar 2022 08:08 PM PST This has been bugging me for over a year and I genuinely don't know how to even "search" for a fix. It's just really weird and I want to see if u guys have seen anything like this before? My iPhone 12 Pro does this thing where it would automatically apply a grey filter when any sort of light is visible to the screen, making all my dark greys into light grey. This is especially noticeable on discord and anything in dark mode. The worst part about this is the inconsistency, sometimes it'll just decide to not do it for an hour or two, then decide on a whim to do it again. I figured I can block the sensors in a way that it'll be on the verge of applying the filter, so I get to watch my deep blacks pop into grey from tilting my phone into the light. Sorry if it's a long post. I just want to share because it's such a dumb bug. It's been doing this since day 1 when I first got my hands on it. I've dug through the settings to no avail. Posted: 06 Mar 2022 03:25 PM PST I took my iPhone 13 to Best Buy and even after replacing the screen it still would show no display and I don't think the touchscreen is working either. They wanted to send it to Apple but Apple would just replace the phone not fix it. I have photos and videos on there that hadn't been backed up yet since my iCloud storage was maxed out. I upgraded to the 200gb after the phone stopped working. I asked them to let me take the phone home over the weekend since I heard iPhones will backup automatically every 24hrs if it's connected to a power source and on WiFi. But it's not doing that even though I have automatic iCloud backups turned on for the phone. The phone works and is on and I'm not ready to give it up and lose my stuff like that. What is the problem with it and what can I do? The phone's not dead or broken so there should be no reason why I can't get access to my stuff. The phone is locked and I can't put the pin in because I can't tell if I'm actually hitting the buttons correctly (or if the phone is actually receiving input at all) and that's the only reason why I can't connect to my computer and iTunes. It's incredibly frustrating that I did nothing wrong with a brand new iPhone 13 Pro Max not even 6 months old. I didn't drop it, misplace it, break it, etc. and I can potentially lose my stuff because I didn't upgrade and pay more money for iCloud soon enough. [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 06 Mar 2022 02:34 PM PST Hello. I'm from Canada and i recently got an iPhone through Freedom mobile. Its been a few months and 2 weeks ago my phone was stolen from a club. I kept it in my pocket and a few minutes later i thought i should put it in my bag but when i reached for it my pocket was empty. Obviously i was distraught but i tried to convince myself maybe it fell and it was at the club but it wasn't. My iPad is connected to the same apple ID and i tried to mark it as lost but it still shows pending. Two days after the theft, the location updated for a brief time but then the phone went offline again and there has been no updates ever since then. Mark as lost is still pending. I filed a police report but apparently from what I've heard they don't do much about stolen phones. The iPhone still shows under my apple ID and i can't figure out if they have already wiped everything out because my pictures weren't backed up and i have a lot of memories in that phone. Other than that, i am still paying for that phone and i need to keep paying for another 1.5 years to end the contract. I can't tell my family about this so honestly i don't know what to do. Idk what happened to the phone or if there's still a chance to retrieve my phone somehow. Its been very hard for me since that incident and any advice, insight or help would be highly appreciated. My phone had started acting funny so I tried to restart it only for it to become stuck in the Apple logo screen. It will not turn on. I've done the hard restart hack but it stays stuck. 2) what can the police do : the police in england could not do anything and now it is not even here apparently 3) are they using vpn to put dubai as a location: this is actually stupid since everything is blocked in dubai and i dont think thats even listed as an option 4) what do i do: its a shady area in dubai, i can play the noise and stuff but not sure how anything is going to help. the iPhone is worth a lot and ive been severely upset by the whole situation. take care of your phones :'/ [link] [comments] | ||
