iPad Air 4 vs iPad Air 5 Genshin Impact FPS Test Posted: 20 Mar 2022 12:08 AM PDT As usual, I decided to do another gaming FPS test using Genshin Impact since its the most demanding mobile game. I wanted to see how much of a gaming performance gap there is between the iPad Air 4 and iPad Air 5. Quick reminder, before I share my results, these iPads are indeed running this game at a higher resolution than all smartphones when set to max resolution in the game. Results cannot be compared with iPhones or android devices. Just for reference, smartphones are running this game between 650 to 800p while the iPad Air and Pro models are running this game around 1600p at max settings. With that being said, starting with FPS, I averaged 56 FPS for the iPad Air 5 housing the M1 chip and 45 FPS for the iPad Air 4. Both devices settings were set to max in the game. Both did actually very well considering the high resolution. Most "average" gaming laptops are only running this game max settings at 1080p. Anyways, both devices peaked up to 42c which is pretty high. However, I must note, due to the size of both tablets, I didn't notice the heat when holding these devices. Last, the iPad Air 4 used 10 watts of power while the iPad Air 5 used 11 watts of power in this test. I completed Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time, here are my thoughts. Posted: 20 Mar 2022 01:00 AM PDT Honestly, up until the final mission, I was gonna say that this game is a competent hack and slash game, with boring level design but good weapons and combat. But the design of the final level is so bad that I just can't recommend it. It's 3 arena after arena followed by Boss fight. With no way to restore any items in middle of 3rd arena and final boss fight. On top of that the final fight on hard is bloody irritating, not only the boss has multiple phases of invulnerability but can also carpet damage the entire arena and can stun lock you, but this is all easy to overcome, problem is that at hard and above boss also has ninja minions, fucks screws up the camera and ranged weapons while fighting, like serious messes with it enough that you might just want to quit. I'd say play the on up to normal, but don't bother with any higher difficulties, the game isn't polished enough to be worth the effort. [link] [comments] |
