I created MacTube: a native YouTube app for Macs Posted: 23 Feb 2022 03:12 AM PST MacTube is a native YouTube app for Macs. It was made for people who prefer Safari and don't want to have to open Chrome just to launch their official web app. Download the latest version here. How to save .gif files from Twitter? Posted: 23 Feb 2022 02:26 AM PST As the title asks.. as it seems that Twitter now converts your uploaded .gif file to .mp4 :( Whyyyyyy! So I suppose a better question is, does anyone have a workable work around for saving .gif files from Twitter in their original .gif format? [link] [comments]
Posted: 23 Feb 2022 01:53 AM PST Recently my MacBook Pro late 2017 13 inch began restarting whenever I would sign in and then would tell me the battery was dead whenever I tried to restart it. I have reset the SMC and also reinstalled the OS. I then created a test profile and it seems to never do it. Can anyone suggest where to go from here in terms of figuring out why this is only happening to my main profile? Thanks! [link] [comments]
How to save/download profile photo taken in System Preferences? Posted: 23 Feb 2022 12:47 AM PST Would anyone know how to save a picture taken within the System Preferences profile picture settings? My friend was just messing around and took a funny picture of himself using the "Camera" option when clicking "edit" on the profile photo icon in System Preferences and I'd like to save/download it, as we couldn't seem to find it saved anywhere automatically. This might be a bit of a weird request, but I'd really appreciate any help. Thank you guys. 🙂 [link] [comments]

Samsung T5 SSD not working on MacOs Big Sur 11.6 Posted: 22 Feb 2022 08:36 PM PST Hey so Ive been using my T5 Hardrive for about a year now and rarely ran into problems. I connected the SSD to my mac laptop today but the Samsung Portable SSD app on the kept saying "Disconnected, No samsung portable ssd is connected." Ive tried refreshing the the system as well as shutting down my mac. I also tried the troubleshooting tips on the Samsung website but still nothing. Any suggestions as to what I should do? Posted: 22 Feb 2022 10:50 PM PST Basically the title! Are those applications bought in a package like one Windows or can they just be downloaded from the App Store. I'm really confused. Still wrapping my head around this OS! Thanks in advance!! [link] [comments]
Trouble booting macOS from internal hard drive Posted: 22 Feb 2022 10:43 PM PST I put an SSD hard drive in my mid 2012 Pro and am now going through the process of installing macOS. I have Mojave on a flash drive and installed it onto the hard drive, but am shot back to Disk Utility after it installs. When I check the hard drive it says 6 gigs have been used which would be Mojave, but I can't figure out how to boot it up from there. Any thoughts? The hard drive is formatted to APFS if that makes any difference. [link] [comments]

Location of user profile picture taken during setup Posted: 22 Feb 2022 10:28 PM PST I took a picture using the camera during initial setup. I would like to find the raw file to this picture. All the results from google I see are for older version of OS X/macOS. [link] [comments]
External ssd drives won’t mount after Big Sur upgrade Posted: 22 Feb 2022 09:55 PM PST I finally decided to update my late 2013 MBP from Catalina. I did a clean format and install from internet recovery. All was great until I tried to mount my encrypted apfs drives. They'd show up in disk utility, but they won't mount and first aid won't run. My unencrypted apfs flash drive mounts ok, but my encrypted ssd drives won't. I made a bootable backup of Catalina beforehand. Back in Catalina the same encrypted ssd drives mounted just fine. But they won't mount in Big Sur. I've tried the normal SMC and PRAM reset. I'm currently decrypting one of the drives to see if that works. Is that works it means drives encrypted with previous macOS releases aren't compatible with Big Sur for some reason. I'll have to go back to Catalina if I can't resolve this issue. Any ideas? I'm all out. [link] [comments] |
