    I decided to try repairing it as I have some spare cash and free time, and before I ordered a screen replacement I wanted to check if it works, when I put the charger in it turns on(the screen is broken so I just see that it has lit up, no numbers no nothing) but it won't power on without the charger.

    Could that be that the battery needs replacement as well?

    Time to scrap the phone? iPhone 7 seems to be completely failing

    I bought my phone two years ago looking for a cheap but not too outdated phone. As of a week ago, I'd say I have very few complaints. Other than a shorter than appreciated battery life and my call audio outright refusing to work 2/3 of the time, the phone functioned as needed.

    As of three days ago though, oh boy. My phone started lagging and apps crashing much more than normal. Nothing too bad. Over the past day my phone has made a rapid decline. I can't open most apps if the phone has been running for more than 5 minutes, the rest outright refuse to open at all, crashing the moment I send the request. The battery drains faster than it charges if I have the phone turned on, even with no apps running. Safari can't do a single search. I even made a nice list of what caused apps to crash over a span of about a minute. Opening Twitter, signing into Twitter, refreshing my Twitter feed, opening a Twitter thread, opening discord, opening Facebook, searching on safari, having discord open for more than 3 seconds (x5).

    To put it simply, I think my phone is fucked.

    I believe the problem is in overheating as the right side of my phone reaches incredibly high temperatures very quickly. I did a bit of research and the location of the heat seems to come from the logic board, the most concentrated bit being around the processing core.

    My parents are telling me to factory reset it and that'll fix everything. But I dunno. I think it might be time to call it quits on this phone

    Any attempts to diagnose my problem would be appreciated. If you can find a way to fix it, I will accept you as my own personal deity

    Iphone backup failing

    Hi, sorry if this question has been asked,

    I have a new iphone 13Pro, and just bought it a few months ago (have updated it to 15.3) ,
    it looks like it does not want to back up, and it gives the err message (This iphone cannot be backed up because there is no enought space in ICloud) , when i. check up on the data to be backed up (its only around 250 mb, which is whatsapp backup and some other apps) , FYi im not backing up photos on icloud. The free storage on ICloud is around 4.8 GB, but still the backup is not happening, (and there is no other backup taking up space)
    I tried restarting, login out and logging back in on ICloud account, but cant make the backup, and once in a while i get the message from apple to subscribe monthly ( i dont want to do yet as im not backing up photos here), i just need the backup in case of device theft.

    please give some suggestions

    iPhone 8 Plus help

    Before I get into the details I will start by saying there were plenty of things I could have done to avoid this, but I am dumb and I didn't.

    The problem: my iPhone 8 Plus 64G is completely out of storage and when I purchased additional iCloud storage to attempt to backup the phone to transfer all of the data to a newly purchased iPhone 13, the 8 plus attempted an IOS update (I think) and it failed and now it is stuck on the black screen with the white Apple. A hard restart (volume up, volume down and power button) will get me to another black screen telling me to connect to a computer and references Apple.com/iPhone/restore but my options from there are very limited. The associate at the Apple store said all he could do is wipe out the phone to clear space and then turn it on without a problem. This defeats the purpose as I would lose all of the data I am trying to save/transfer. I only had the original 5 gigs of iCloud storage that Apple provides and just purchased an additional 50 to attempt this backup, which failed. My google photos also stopped backing up about a year ago. I have hundreds of very important photos and videos of my child's birth just recently and I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions for being able to get into the old iPhone 8 Plus without wiping it out. I was hoping there was a way to restore it to a previous date ( a couple days ago for example). Any suggestions would be helpful as I really do not want to lose some of these recent irreplaceable photos and videos (none of which are saved to iCloud or google photos). The Apple associate recommended what he referred to as "an expensive data recovery specialist" which I will certainly do if there aren't any options for me to try myself. I need to send the iPhone 8 back in to my provider soon as I purchased the 13 with a trade in credit, so my time to get this fixed is limited.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    How to disable additional camera lenses

    Hi, I was wondering if it's possible to disable two of the three lenses on an iPhone 11 Pro? I wanted to attach a fisheye lense to the camera but would need the phone to only use one lense, is there any way to get the phone to only use one of them no matter what?

    call ended instantly

    hello. iphone 12 mini bought in idigital not in usa

    it happens maybe once or twice a month. i try to call someone (anyone-number or contact) and the call immediately fail and it says call ended. others cannot call me too. it tells them i am unavailable and i dont even get to see a missed call in the log. turning airplane mode on and off fix the problem untill next time (a week or two working fine).

    while i am in this bug, i still have signal/reception and even cellular internet data is working without wifi. the ptoblem is only with calls.

    tried to reset network settings and even updated to ios 15.2 and problem still occurs sometimes.

    help please

    Hey is it normal for my battery health to dive bomb like this?

    Around Christmas 2021 I noticed my 12 pro max (bought in Feb) battery health had dropped to 99%, big deal. Well now just a little over a month later it reads 94%. Is that just normal or is there something wrong?

    Convert SIM to eSIM

    I just learned it is possible to convert your physical SIM to an eSIM. Are there any limitations to this? Do some carriers not allow it? I'm about to travel and I could 1) get a SIM abroad then convert it to eSIM and restore my ATT SIM or 2) convert my ATT SIM to eSIM and just swap the overseas sim in.

    Last time I traveled, I asked for an eSIM QR code but the vendor ran out so I had to use the physical overseas SIM. With the ability to convert, it seems like I should be able to do one of the two things above. Curious if anyone has experience with it (specifically if there are any gotchas when converting or limitations).

    I could call ATT for help but their support is beyond useless. You spend 2 hours on the phone just to get an answer that ends up being incorrect. So help here is appreciated.

    I can't hear my phone calls unless I put it on speaker. It just happen yesterday morning unexpectedly. I only dropped the phone once but that happened few months ago. It's an iPhone 8 plus on the latest iOS software. I cleaned my phone yesterday evening. does anyone know how I can get it fixed?

    Apps not updating due to some paid/unpaid subscriptions Glitch...Help needed

    Ok. My question can be a little tricky to understand and I apologize in advance if I am unable to properly convey the issue/problem as an arab friend of mine is facing with her iPhone Applications subscription(s). The question goes like this.

    According to her, her iPhone App Store is not updating the apps (most probably all apps including apps with subscriptions and free apps without any subs), and whenever she tries to update them, she is receiving the error message that she has UNPAID SUBSCRIPTION AMOUNT. Has someone ever heard or faced such an issue. I am unable to directly help her since I am an Android Geek since 2011 and I never had an iPhone and despite I am a tech guy but definitely i am not properly well aware of how iPhone App store and Subscriptions work.

    Any advice or help will be appreciated.

    Fast clicking iphone 13 pro max

    Example: You open photos. If you want to open album and then immediately open photo, it doesnt react, it wont load. The screen loads very fast but it seems like there's a time period of 0.5 sec when you cant click on anything. This is just an example, does anyone has the same problem?
