| Request: How to mark a series as unwatched Posted: 05 Feb 2022 03:36 PM PST So I know it's been asked before but it's been awhile, and I still haven't seen a fix. Using and ATV 4K, how do I mark a series purchased from iTunes as "unwatched", that little check mark… I'm tried long holding on the remote with both the trackpad and the play/pause button without success. | Apple TV 4K (2021) randomly turning on my receiver and tv? Posted: 05 Feb 2022 11:08 PM PST Sometimes, usually 20-30 minutes after turning off my whole home theater setup, my receiver and TV will randomly turn on to the Apple Tv input but nothing will display from the ATV. I didn't have this problem until roughly a month ago so it's possibly firmware related. I have HDMI CEC turned on because I need it for ARC. I also turned off HomeKit hub and background app updates per some other posts I found with no luck. Anyone else have this issue crop up recently? [link] [comments] |

I think they should allow widget for home page like wether etc. also, I think we need more info for videos. Often time when a video is ending, there's no next episode button. Also, while the remote is nice and simple. I think it's too simple and apple should let us customize it more. coming from Nvidia shield, I think apple can improve Apple TV some more and need to get away from trying to put phone/iPad style icons on a streaming device. | Apple TV and HomePods and iTunes- help! Posted: 05 Feb 2022 07:43 AM PST I have an annoying problem that maybe someone has a solution to. My Apple TV plays audio to a HomePod stereo pair. Works great 99% of the time. The problem comes if I play something on iTunes on my iPhone. My phone iTunes seems to default to AirPlay to the HomePods - every. Darn. Time. So if my wife is watching the tv, and I'm in the other room and play a song, I take over the room. I have to go into the AirPlay menu and tell it that I want audio on the iPhone. | Can you filter the YouTube app to show live streams? Posted: 05 Feb 2022 07:21 PM PST I have the first version of the 4K AppleTV and there doesn't seem to be any filtering options for YouTube, unlike with the iOS app or on a browser. I can type in a search term and then add the word live, but that only brings up one stream that has live in the description. Basically, there are several live cameras around my city and I can't search for them like I can in a browser or on my iPad. Anyway, just curious if I'm missing something or if anyone knows a workaround. Thanks. [link] [comments] |

| Do some shows have "live broadcast" type subtitles vs. static ones? Posted: 05 Feb 2022 09:21 AM PST I recently purchased Bourdain's Parts Unknown on iTunes, and I noticed the subtitles come as if it was a live broadcast (i.e. a line doesn't show up at once, but rather it's "typed" out continuously). They are also slightly behind the voice for this reason. Is this a bug or just the case for some shows? Not a big deal at all but just curious. This wasn't the case with the HBO Max subtitles. I am however disappointed with the Netflix app. It is limited compared to all other offerings I've seen. I assume this is a permanent thing due to Netflix not wanting to put to much into apple or vice versa? Odd because prime and a couple others seem to be supported pretty similar regardless how of platform I watch a lot of Netflix and so this really bugs me :( [link] [comments] |
