    So all of that the developers would have to do is to switch to that player and things like frame rate matching, dynamic range matching, full spatial audio support with the Airpods (with Atmos), full home theater support with the Homepods (with Atmos)... will be enabled automatically.

    And we would have a seamless use experience across all the tvOS apps.

    Unfortunately, as of right now, none of the third party tvOS apps has embraced the latest version of the native player... yet.

    But the existence of the mere possibility is very exciting.

    1st Gen Apple TV SSD swap - PATA to SATA recommendations?

    I picked up a cheap 1st gen ATV from the will of Goods a month or so ago, but the 160gb hard drive is definitely cooked. Looking to use it as an offline movie box take with me when traveling ETC.

    Already have a 128gb SSD at the ready, so all I need is a PATA to SATA adapter. I'm seeing a few, but anyone have any recommendations for one?

    Or hell, if there's a cheap mechanical PATA drive I can pick up to replace the old one I wouldn't be opposed to that route too if it's less hassle.

    Today I discovered there is a difference in the two. I joined Paramount+ thinking I could watch Season 4 of Yellowstone. Not so… Yellowstone season 4 is on ParamountNetwork.

    Okay, so that's not a bid deal. I now have both on my AppleTV. What I'm writing about is, the audio quality on ParamountNetwork really sucks.

    I watched season 1 thru 3 on Peacock and the sound was great. Now on ParamountNetwork it's bland and I have to turn the volume up to nearly full to hear what the actors are saying.

    Is this normal? I never mess with the audio settings on AppleTV as they seem to adjust on their own but this is almost intolerable, not to mention the commercials come on full blast and damn near knocks me out of my seat!

    Should I get an Apple TV when I already have Android TV?

    I'm planning on getting the LG C1, if not the C2, and am considering getting an Apple TV. Is it really worth it? Considering I only use Netflix and Prime. What are the benefits of an Apple TV now that the TV I'm getting is compatible with HomeKit and has airplay 2?

    Anyone set up an apple tv in their non main country?

    So I've just bought an apple tv in the US, but my phone etc is from the UK. I set up the apple tv via iphone and it effectively made it into a british apple tv with uk apps etc on it, none of which I actually want (particularly since you cant use them overseas!). This is despite me selecting the region as USA.

    I've now reset it, and gone in manually, but to download any of the US apps like Xumo I have to have an apple ID. Is there any way to do this while linking my uk account, or is the only way for me to do this setting up a new apple ID?

    Volume lag/delay issue still persists - 2021 4K 15.3 - fixes after restart

    My Apple TV 4K is connected to a Yamaha receiver, and the volume change lag is insanely frustrating, and actually pretty dangerous.

    A restart of the Apple TV fixes it but I cannot a find a more permanent solution. Is this still a known bug?

    So I just got an Apple TV today (so that I don’t have to use my phone to cast to the chromecast I have) to use with my Sync box. However, I’m having trouble having the sound come out of my surround system rather than the damn one Home Pod I have.

    This might be a noob question but here goes.

    I have AppleTV attached to my TV set, and a MacBook at my desk. I'd like to watch something on an app I have on my AppleTV, but through my Macbook. I work from my desk, and would rather be sitting at my desk with a TV show playing on my secondary monitor, rather than sitting in front of TV with my laptop.

    Is streaming from Apple TV (attached to my TV) to a monitor attached to my Macbook? When I open the TV app on my Mac, the app from the TV isn't there.

    Any remote out there that supports Siri and switching inputs?

    Trying to find the best solution to just switch back and forth between my Apple TV and ps5. HDMI CEC is a mess, I can switch between inputs but if I only turn on my ps5 only and turn it back off, it won't turn the tv off and I have to do so manually, otherwise I'd just use CEC. Just trying to see what options are out there. Third party remotes would be fine if they had Siri support, kinda hard to live without.

    I watched from on apple tv epix (paid for it) then watched it on Kodi supposedly in SD. The quality was exactly the same. How is this possible. Is apple tv that bad?

    4k ATV died

    Never had this issue with any AppleTV before. (Gen1 to current) We have a 1.5 yo ATV 4k that will not power on. Tried different power cords and outlets. Put another 4k in it's place (same cord, etc.) and it boots right up. Bad 4k won't ever show an LED in front.

    $167 to fix. Ouch.

    Anyone else have this issue?
