- Anyone know how to get rid of the annoying secondary subtitles at the top of the screen? I've tried turning off the subtitles and I've tried turning off the sdh settings as well, still appears.

| Strange behavior with Apple TV 4K and Sony X90J Posted: 25 Feb 2022 04:35 AM PST A weird issue started happening that when I turn off the ATV and it turns off the TV, the TV will come back on about 5 sec later. I'll turn it off with the Sony remote and it will come back on again. This will happen about 5 or 6 times. I had to disable "Turn on your TV with your remote" on the Apple TV for it to stop. Though now I have to use 2 remotes. I've owned Apple TV's for at least 7 years (I have 7 in my home right now) and have never had this issue. The only thing I can think of is that I had replaced the HDMI cable between the Apple TV and the Sony. That's when the issue started. I'll swap out the cable to see if that resolves the issue but has anyone heard of an HDMI cable creating issues like this? [link] [comments] | ||

I'm on an lg g1 I just got and at the atv4k 2021 will only play HBO max stuff in dolby and hdr if I switch dynamic range matching off and default to Dolby Vision in settings. Connection is atv4k to onyko 7100 to tv. Tried sdr and match on, dolby and match on, and neither display content correctly. Wondering if it's atv, the apps, or the tv. All my cables are hdmi 2.1. | Hisense 43A6GTUK Apple TV 4K Remote Volume Not Working Posted: 24 Feb 2022 11:28 AM PST Sorry for another one of these posts! The volume control on the Apple TV remote doesn't work on the Hisense TV. CEC Control is on in the Hisense settings. I've tried learning the new remote in Apple TV > Home Cinema Control > Volume Control, but it does not recognise the Hisense remote volume at all (progress bar doesn't move during the learning steps). Volume Control is set to Auto via IR (TV). I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting the HDMI cables, switching everything off & on again, I've check the TV settings. CEC Control is on. Strange thing is it works fine with my Google Chromecast remote. It was able to keep sending codes until it found one that works. Not sure what else there is to try, except maybe a factory reset on all devices and setup again. This is the only reason I always use the Chromecast instead of the Apple TV! Anyone solved this on a similar or same TV? Thanks for any help!! edit: thanks to this wonderful Redditor on the Hisense subreddit it now works! The solution is to disable bluetooth on the Hisense TV then learn new remote on Apple TV. [link] [comments] | ||
