| Why doesn’t control center show time? Posted: 19 Feb 2022 07:51 PM PST Why can't I see the time when I swipe down for control center? I just recently switched from Android and I miss being able to see the time whenever I swipe down. I know you can see it in the Notifications Center, but the control center feels less obtrusive, so I always swipe there hoping to check the time. I don't know why it doesn't show up there. Been trying for hours. Nothing ever works. Transfer error non stop no matter what guidance or tips i follow. So i'll skip it and do it manually after the setup. How to i best go about transfering my photos? Save everything in the google cloud and dl later or getting Icloud on my pc and saving my phones pics there - then syncing with my new iphone? This is my first ever experience with the apple eco system. Is one way *better* than the other? Or easier? Help very much appreciated!! [link] [comments] | ||
| Changing exposure and saturation between clips in iMovie for iOS exports Posted: 19 Feb 2022 08:15 PM PST Hey all! This is a niche issue, but for some reason my iMovie for iOS for over a year now has been doing something weird. When I splice clips together from one video and then export them to a file I notice that iMovie is doing some adjustments to exposure and saturation to the clips so they end up all looking different. One common thing is after they crash I reach to my homescreen and them they start blinking once. Like refreshing. They go dim and then back to normal color randomly. Any help !!!!! Is there any way to disable this? | Way to get live photos to save as both jpg and video? Posted: 19 Feb 2022 11:25 AM PST I have iPhone, iPad and a 2015 mbp. It's a mess trying to save both a video version of and photo version of a live photo that I can transfer to my MacBook for storage. Right now i use a third party app to batch save live photos to video but this is cumbersome because it screws with the dates and makes it hard to sort on the thousands of images on my iPad. Contrary, my mbp can receive airdrop photos but the live is lost. You can only save live photos to video one at a time on ios. any suggestions of how to handle this? [link] [comments] | ||
| Firefox passwords not syncing to iPhone Posted: 19 Feb 2022 10:40 PM PST I have firefox on multiple computers and multiple phones. All devices signed into the same firefox account and all passwords syncing across all devices without any issues... except for my iPhone 13 pro max on the latest firmware. When I go to a website that requires a log in, firefox does not populate with anything. When I look in the firefox settings there are no logins available at all. I've signed out and signed in/synced the firefox account on this phone multiple times, and for some reason, the logins are not syncing to the phone. Any ideas? [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 19 Feb 2022 06:56 AM PST Recent iOS convert from Android here - I've noticed that if I i.e. received a gmail notification on my phone, and then went on my PC to look at that email, the notification doesn't go away. iOS only understands that the email was actually read if I manually go into the gmail app and then it will update the read receipt and get rid of the notification. I find this true of all apps including fb msger. It's also true for my calendar widgets, if I were to make changes on my computer, the widget wouldn't recognize those changes UNTIL I go into the calendar app on the phone, where it will then pull in the updates. There's no background update! This wasn't the case for Android where it seems that apps were constantly being refreshed in the background and would update notifications in real time. (Yes my BG Refresh setting is on for iOS). Is this the case for everyone too? [link] [comments] | ||

| Annoying Wi-fi problem that I can't seem to fix. Posted: 19 Feb 2022 09:06 AM PST My Wi-fi frequently appears to be working, but nothing loads (for example, websites will start loading but never make it past that first 10% of the loading bar, or Discord messages will be grayed out until the request times out and it says unsent. But all apps "think" that I'm connected to internet). This happens daily and I can't seem to find any rhyme or reason as to when or why. I switch to cellular and everything loads immediately, and it keeps working after connecting back to Wi-fi. Also seems to happen on any Wi-fi network (I moved recently, changed providers and routers, and it still happens). No other devices on my network have this problem at all. It's an iPhone XS Max, running 14.8.1. Mostly curious if anyone else has this issue or any suggestions on how to fix it. I can't find any help topics online that work for me, since I've already reset my iPhone's network settings and it keeps happening. Could it just be an unfixable problem with my Wi-fi chip? | Netflix PiP and auto-play issues on iOS 15, iPhone 12 Posted: 19 Feb 2022 07:01 PM PST Hey folks, trying to trouble shoot. Haven't had success. Here are my issues: 1) When Netflix auto plays another episode of a show, if It's playing in PiP and I re-enter the Netflix app, then PiP won't resume when I swipe away from the app (typical flick)—it just leaves the app and goes to the Home Screen. I have to fully close and re-open the app to get PiP back. Restating the phone and toggling PiP off and back on haven't resolved the issue. 2) Netflix used to auto-play episodes while locked. Now, it auto-plays the first couple minutes, but then stops. When I unlock the phone, I get the "Sorry, Netflix can't play this title right now" error (or something like that. | Focus mode: notifications from specific people in other apps Posted: 19 Feb 2022 05:55 PM PST So in a focus mode, you can set specific people in the "Allowed People" list. But this only works for Messages, Mail, Phone, and FaceTime. What about other, third-party apps? Like Discord, Slack, and Signal? Is their a public API for these apps to donate to the "Allowed People" list? Otherwise focus modes are useless for us that rely primarily on non-Apple communication [link] [comments] |
