PSA: Clean your friggin' AirPods before bringing them in for service. Please and thanks. Posted: 08 Feb 2022 11:35 AM PST I mean really, this can't be that tough of an idea right? Just wipe the damn things down before you hand them to someone else. This sub doesn't permit images in posts but I can share the goop if people really want to see it I suppose. [link] [comments]

Posted: 08 Feb 2022 06:29 AM PST Previously, my Logitech keyboard and mouse would not show the battery level, only the Apple Keyboard and mouse would but now I can see it for all my connected devices. [link] [comments]

Posted: 08 Feb 2022 10:27 AM PST I was trusting that Apple was doing device trade-in, not a third-party. I wish that I had come to Reddit and the internet before I had traded. I sent a pristine 11 Pro Max that had never left its case. I even took video of it before I sent it. The third-party is claiming that the camera is broken, when it was fully functional before I sent my phone. Now, they're sending me back a broken phone that was once totally perfect. Does anyone happen to know if there's any way to seek legal recourse? This isn't right. Either way. ONLY trade in your device in-person. I would never do or recommend this method ever again. On Mouse Wheels on Mac's Natural Scroll setting Posted: 08 Feb 2022 05:17 AM PST I think when I scroll with a mouse wheel, with 'natural scroll' or whatever the setting is on Mac, it basically makes my scrolling mousewheel down scrolling the page to the top. That is just bass ackwards. EVERY single time I use a scroll wheel on a Mac I do so scoffingly. If I'm not surprised and mess it up, I will be internally rolling my eyes every time. I don't know, I just hate it that much. The times I don't is when I'm surprised. Like, when I've waited so long that I've forgotten that there exists this bizzaro scroll wheel land and I'm in its hell. And then it's like *Losing The Game * all over. You just remember it vividly for a while, until you don't. What are your experiences, and what is your PC/Mac usage/history, for reference. I have been an eternal PC user, but have used Macs for work ever since 7 years ago and that's never changed out of being Mac. [link] [comments]
In your experience, who has made the highest quality cases for Apple products? Posted: 08 Feb 2022 10:00 AM PST I have used Apple cases, InCase, Belkin, Tech21, Otterbox, Native Union, and Logitech (for various devices) and I have found that the Apple cases are good, but not the best in terms of durability. I. think the most durable cases tend to be the Otterbox cases, but they are expensive. In terms of value, I think the best cases are "generic" third party cases. This is just for iPhones and Airpods, though, as the laptop generic cases I have had experiences with tend to be cheap and do not fit well. I don't have much experience with laptop cases (not protective bags, but actual shells), so I can't comment a whole lot in that area. [link] [comments]
Posted: 08 Feb 2022 02:52 AM PST I was speaking to someone last night on iMessage and they sent me a photo. Because I know about location features I clicked on the image and to my surprise, I could see their location data to their exact home address. Shouldn't this be a thing where sending photos don't automatically share all the data? I know you can scrub the EXIF data with third-party apps but I'm sure not many people who aren't into privacy would be aware of this when sending photos. Might not be a concern with your friends bit when you're in the dating game talking to a few people it can potentially be quite dangerous. [link] [comments] |
