| Need help with failed verification on my sons phone Posted: 29 Jan 2022 06:20 PM PST My sons phone is the iPhone se that came out in 2020 running 15.3. He gets randomly locked out for screen time, FaceTime can not verify with the correct Apple ID/password and also his iCloud also asks to verify randomly. Every attempt to enter the password gets a message "verification failed error unknown" Also the iCloud banner in settings is greyed out. I've allowed profile changes in screen time, turned off screen time, restarted the phone, updated, reinserted the SIM card, turned off the Verizon family vpn logged into the Apple ID website to change the password successfully. I don't know what to do with this problem. It seems like screen time is the root of the problem but I can't get rid of it to solve this. None of the forums have been helpful as they just recommend restarting the phone. Any helpful insights are appreciated [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 29 Jan 2022 03:36 PM PST When trying to turn off restricted mode the box says "turned on by your network administrator to help hide potentially mature videos" I am unable to turn this off or figure out who my network administrator is. | iMessages does not activate. iPhone 12. Posted: 29 Jan 2022 08:49 AM PST iMessages is not activating. When I go to Settings > Message > iMessage, it says "Waiting for activation". When I try to message other iphone users, my messages get sent as normal messages. When I send a reaction to the message it gets sent as a normal message. I tried disabling iMessages and then re-enabling it, but still gets stuck at activation. Is this network carrier issue? or iPhone issue? When I restart my iphone I get a popup saying "Your network provider may charge for SMS messages used to activate FaceTime and iMessage". But nothing happens when I click on OK. I checked in the internet, I couldn't find any useful info apart from restart phone, restart wifi kind of tips. I just turned it back on today, and no calls, texts, iMessages, snapchats, or Instagram messages have appeared from the last three months (and I know that there are quite a few messages that got sent to me through all of those apps). I have the 2020 SE. it is up to date, my carrier settings are up to date, I have tried starting and restarting the phone, logging in and out of insta and snap, uninstalling and reinstalling all of the apps, and backing up my iCloud. Now I have installed a new display. So far so good. But now the iPhone shows that it is locked and I should connect to iTunes. But that did nothing, because iTunes says it can not establish a connection (error code: 0xE8000015). After a short Google research, I found out that the display has independently enter a wrong code too many times, and the iPhone is completely locked. Logging into iTunes on the PC with the same icloud acc did nothing. My question, how do we get the pictures still saved. On the support page it only says that you have to reset the phone completely. But that way we would lose our pictures. Can we call Apple support so they can help us? I mean it was never stolen, we have the invoice, the Apple ID and password, ID card, the iPhone has not left the WLAN area since the damage, and so on. I have tried multiple codes and everything I can think of and I am afraid if I try anymore codes it will disable itself. How can I bypass the code and get into the device? When I bought my iPad I tried to sync everything from my iPhone and worked fine. Here are my 2 questions/problems. 1. My iMessages on my iPad are not syncing correctly. For example,on my phone it will show all my contact names, on my iPad it only shows phone numbers. I also don't receive messages on my iPad. 2. All other add links and site links seem to work on Instagram stories but these don't. I've tried reinstalling the app I've checked all my settings and I'm running the most upto date software could it be my phone is too old for this feature or do I have some security setting switched off I can't figure it out and it's just a bit annoying. I was using WhatsApp web when the connection failed then I unlocked my phone to open the app, but I got a notification saying that my iPhone storage was full. Deleted a few apps and then something weird happened. They showed on the home screen. (I deleted via settings, not by the app screen so it couldn't be that option to move them to home) and my phone rebooted. I thought it was some kind of bug... until it showed an error saying my screen couldn't be certified as apple authentic (I never opened my phone to repair it, still is on warranty) and all the icons were invisible and then reboot again. Now I can't even unlock the screen because this triggers a reboot. Should I just go to an apple service center? I really don't know what to do. [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 28 Jan 2022 10:03 PM PST my phone stopped working around 2 years ago. my dad gave me his old phone to use and we connected it to his apple ID or icloud or something. i had a ton of photos/videos NOT backed up on the dead phone. i learned my lesson that day. i'd already accepted that the photos are all gone, but today, just now, i tried one last thing to get back into the phone. something simple we could've tried in the past 2 years, plugging it into a computer. it turned on. however, despite all the apps, lockscreen, and homescreen being the same as when it suddenly died, all the photos and videos are gone. i checked the files on the computer and it says there's nothing stored locally. not sure how it happened but i'm 100% sure my precious memories of the 4 years prior are just gone. and there's nothing on google photos which i saw in another post on here. but, if someone somehow has a suggestion i'm willing to try it. i already accepted that they're gone years ago so if there's really no fix, i won't be disappointed. Posted: 28 Jan 2022 09:29 PM PST I want to look at some of my friend and I's old conversations, so I searched up some phrases that I know we used months ago in the search and found some of the old messages that way. The problem is, starting at those messages that way, you can only scroll a tiny bit further down and a tiny bit further up, and then it stops letting you load new messages around that same date and time. Is there any way around this? I would like to be able to read larger portions of old conversations in a row. [link] [comments] |
