| Posted: 29 Jan 2022 03:51 AM PST Hey, i was really disappointed with android in the last few months because of unbearable Software bugs that practically killed my pixel 5, so I'm looking for a replacement. Software and software stability is probably the hightest priority for me and I thought I might switch to an iPhone since it came to my mind for making great software and is praised everywhere for its flawless software experience. I quickly came along some bug reports for iOS 15 and now I'm curious how bad have things been for you (not specifically for iOS 15 but in general over the last few years) in therms of bugs? And another thing that I'd like to know is how fast the fixes came wich is probably more important to me because I totally get that you can't fully avoid bugs, but then at least get them fixed as fast as possible. U see, I'm sitting here since two months with a buggy mess of android and I'm really fed up by now. In fact I had to switche back to my old p20 because i couldn't keep my blood pressure under control while using my pixel 5 buggy mess. I m so exausted with dealing with messed up software and I just want something that works by now. The last thing I want is another device that gets so buggy i practically can't use it anymore. So how was your experience? How fast do fixes get implemented? And how would you sum up the overall experience? Thx for sharing your experiences you're really helping me out! [link] [comments] | ||

| Photos not in chronological order Posted: 29 Jan 2022 01:11 AM PST I am trying to import photos from my harddisk onto my iPhone (locally, not onto iCloud). The approach which I took was to AirDrop a folder from my MacBook with all of the photos which I want to import to my iPhone, and then saving all photos/videos in that folder to the Photos app. However, the problem is that although all of the photos/videos in the AirDropped folder are in correct chronological order, they become completely jumbled in the Photos app after saving. Does anyone know what I should do to maintain the choronological order of my photos and videos? Thanks! [link] [comments] | ||

I want to open the videos in the folders or gallery apps and keep watching in PiP while taking notes in the background. Is there any way I could do that? | problem with my phone and pc (sorry for my bad english lol) Posted: 28 Jan 2022 07:01 PM PST so, sometimes i charge my phone with my pc, and when i plugged it, it asked me if i wanted to allow access to my photos and videos and stuff. i used to deny because at that moment i only wanted to charge the phone, but now that i need to access to that stuff, the message doesn't pop up anymore, and my pc doesn't detect my phone. i'm pretty sure i can fix it in settings but i can't find anything. if anyone can help i would thank you a lot. Only time I get something is I have to be in mail or messages for it to refresh. My old 7 will light up though and still receive emails or texts when connected to wifi ( originally was testing using my 7). I've been through all the YouTube videos. [link] [comments] | ||

| Do not disturb turning off by itself Posted: 28 Jan 2022 10:06 PM PST How do I get DND to stop turning itself off? This only started happening after this (dumb) upgrade to ios15. I want to keep DND on 24/7 but it turns off randomly by itself. I do not have any Focus settings on and it is not a DND scheduling issue (I do not have it set to turn on/off at a predetermined time). | Posted: 28 Jan 2022 09:19 PM PST So I recently bought an iPhone 6 (its really buggy and not a good first impression on apple) and it just wont connect to the wifi i put the password in correctly and it says wrong password I tryed my neighbors wifi and it worked just fine, is there any thing wrong with my phone. | Random website link in my safari history that I never visited Posted: 28 Jan 2022 05:22 PM PST I have 4 Apple devices - iPhone, iPad, MacBook Pro, and an iMac. I use Safari on my iPhone and iPad, and Brave on my Macs. I have iCloud set to sync safari data so my history and tabs can be accessed between my iPhone and iPad. My tabs automatically close every day and I regularly clear history + cookies. I use an adblocker (AdGuard pro) with a lot of enabled filters. Today I used Safari (was looking up Lex Fridmans podcast), then closed my phone and it was on my desk next to me all day. I open Safari shortly afterwards and there's a random history item for some French government health care bill from 2016 (I'm not from France, have never been there, and don't know anything about them). I have no idea how this history item appeared on my phone when my only searches were on google, and I didn't actually end up clicking any websites. I did update to iOS 15.3 this morning, but I don't know what else could have caused this. Could there be a weird iOS issue mixing up peoples iCloud data? It would be very concerning if this is an unknown issue. Out of precaution, I reset all my devices and reset all passwords. Has anyone ever seen this before? I am nervous as to what this could be. I've seen posts of people receiving random iCloud photos - so this similar issue wouldn't be surpassing with safari history. [link] [comments] | ||
| Someone else's photos in "My Photo Stream" on new iPhone 13? Posted: 28 Jan 2022 10:43 AM PST So this is weird... I just got a new iPhone 13 to replace my aging iPhone X. I did a full backup from the old device to the new one. When I opened my photos on the new 13 I noticed 4 pics in "My Photo Stream" that are absolutely not from me or anyone I know. The exif data says they're from Bamako, Mali, which is the opposite side of the world from me in the PNW US. It also says they were taken on an iPhone 4S. These pics weren't on my old phone, and they're just selfies of someone I've never met.I used to use an iPhone 4S back in the day, but it's still sitting in a drawer in my house so it's not a matter of someone using my old phone that wasn't wiped. I also checked and there haven't been any logins to my icloud from anywhere else.Weird, right? *Edit - it should also be mentioned that the date of the photos is AFTER I already received my new phone in my possession so it's not a matter of me getting a refurbished phone.
