| No WhatsApp Notifications- 13PM iOS 15.3 Posted: 29 Jan 2022 08:50 AM PST I've recently purchased an iPhone 13 Pro Max after years using android. Since yesterday I'm not getting any WhatsApp notifications. Nothing. I tried: Reinstalling WhatsApp, Erase the iPhone and restore from iCloud, Reset location and privacy. I've also played with background app refresh and notifications settings. Nothing works. After reinstalling WhatsApp notifications work for a few minutes and then stop. My brother has the same exact phone and has no issues at all. Any advice before I'm selling this phone? I really need a phone that actually notifies me when I receive messages. Ugh. Thanks. | Anyone know a fix for my ‘Do not disturb’ issue? Posted: 29 Jan 2022 06:06 AM PST Hi all, this is an issue that i've been trying to fix since ios 15 was released. Before ios 15 the do not disturb (dnd) allowed me to have notifications delivered silently, without my screen lighting up and my phone buzzing. However, I could allow all calls to come through, super helpful because this resulted in my phone not lighting up and buzzing constantly. Now since ios 15 the dnd mode actually disturbs me as it lights up my screen, and buzzes when a notification is delivered. I know I can change my settings to certain apps etc, but that will still make it buzz and light up. Today I found a partial solution. In focus settings; If I allow no app to deliver notifications, but turn on 'show silently delivered notifications on lockscreen', my screen won't light and no buzzing. Succes! You might think. Unfortunately not, because now I get no notifications in my screen while using my phone. Does anyone know a solution? Maybe create a shortcut script? Thanks in advance! [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 29 Jan 2022 07:47 AM PST Unsure if it's indexing, but I lost 10% last night just idle. I'm going to reset since there may be something wrong as I'm just draining faster than normal. I'm going to perform a fresh install since it's bothering me that my phone is now dying faster than on the RC build, or even 15.2.1 was. Hopefully you guys aren't like me. Haha [link] [comments] |

| How can I prevent iPhone 7 apps from returning to home state when switching between apps? Posted: 29 Jan 2022 07:13 AM PST Like the title says. I have an iPhone 7 with iOS 15.1 not jail broken. The problem (for me it's a problem) is that when I multitask like for instance I'm on Reddit in a topic and I get a message in WhatsApp so I switch to that, have an app conversation for a minute of 5-10 and switch back to Reddit, the Reddit app is reverted back to its default state(like when you newly start it). Wether I'm in the middle of type a comment or just browsing, it goes back. Obvious where my problem is here, I think? This happens with every app I use and it's driving me up the wall about now. I searched high and low and found things like background refresh, tried disabling it per app or the switch for all of them at once, no dice. Beyond that I didn't really find anything that helped, no actual solutions to try really. Is this even fixable or do I sell this thing and try my luck elsewhere? I've been told by some that this is normal behavior or that the app developer has it written this way, is why I ask that. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 29 Jan 2022 05:50 AM PST iphone 12 pro max i always like to restart my phone periodically. my phone was on 80% and plugged in when i restarted it. when it turned back on, it was on 77%. that is super weird, as that has never happened before. is this the start of some weird battery drain? is usually can get by an entire day without having to charge my phone, it's one of the reasons i love it so much. ugh. However, I would like to give iOS a serious try. To that end, I am turning to you to help me find suitable alternatives to the apps I consider most important. As a preface, I should like to point out that I would prefer free and open source apps wherever possible, but if that's not an option, then a pay-once app would be all right, too. Under no circumstances am I paying subscriptions, though. So, here's what I am looking for:

| Have Apple "claimed" my videos? Posted: 29 Jan 2022 05:14 AM PST I used the Move to iOS app to transfer data from my old Samsung phone to my new Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max. Photos and music went through no problem whatsoever, as have the videos I took on my previous iPhone (XS Max). The videos I took on my Samsung phone however, have been automatically placed into the Apple TV app on my phone, with seemingly no way whatsoever to get them back. There's only one option, which is delete. I cannot find the videos when I connect my phone to my Macbook Pro, and they're not in my Apple TV library on any other device. I phoned Apple Support who basically said "tough. Once they're in Apple TV you can't get them back" and I've just spent the last hour arguing with them that they are my videos that I own and took myself on my phone, and so therefore they SURELY must have a way to get my videos back. This just feels like they've essentially "claimed" my videos. There must be some sort of legal issue with this. They're MY videos! Can anyone help? [link] [comments] |
