    Buying an Apple Watch- help!

    So after getting people the Apple Watch as gifts a few times I thought it was about time I got one. I have a few questions first. I live about 40 minutes away from an Apple Store and the lines currently to just get in is about an hour long line so I just want to order it online. They've added many options I see since I've last bought one. First question is about colors- is "midnight" a dark blue and is the graphite the "black" option? Also what is "starlight" is that a light pink or more of a champagne gold? Next question: do they not offer a black sports band anymore? And lastly: Does the Apple Watch constantly track your calories being burnt or do you have to have a specific app for that? Thank you!

    Apple Watch Series 6 Battery Problems

    Preface: I hate to add to the already numerous posts regarding battery life problems, but I have yet to find a solution to the issue I'm experiencing. I'm wondering if there is anyone out there who is experiencing something similar.

    Issue: Battery life is terrible. At most, 13 hours (AoD off) from a single charge, and averages ~12 hours.

    Hardware: Apple Watch Series 6, GPS + Cellular paired to iPhone 13 Pro. The watch was purchased in January of 2021, so it is not quite a year old.

    Related observations:

    • Battery drain while asleep for ~8 hours with sleep mode on (screen is off) and sleep tracking enabled is ~40%.
    • Watch regularly dies when the battery is between 10-25%. (While sitting here typing this, my watch JUST died at 23%. When I try to power it on, it gives the squiggly charger cable line and charger with a red lightning bolt.)
    • The battery health indicator says 90%. (I unfortunately failed to purchase AppleCare. Apple support has, thus-far, refused to replace the watch/battery since the battery health is >= 80%.)
    • I began noticing the degraded battery life in the last 3 months or so, with it becoming bad enough that I started looking into things in November. This was around the time I got my new iPhone 13 Pro. Perhaps there could be a connection, but I don't know what it would be.

    Things I've tried:

    1. Rebooting both the watch and the iPhone - this had no effect.
    2. Hard rebooting the watch (hold down both buttons until the watch reboots) - this had no effect.
    3. Re-pairing the watch with the iPhone - none of the re-pairs had any measurable effect.
      1. I've done this ~5 times in the last two months, allowing at least one week between consecutive re-pairs to ensure "indexing" is completed (if this is even a thing).
      2. The watch has been restored from backup one of those times.
      3. The watch has been setup as new four times.
      4. I have not installed any 3rd party apps after three of the four "setup as new."
    4. Turning off environmental noise measurements - this had no measurable impact.
    5. Turning off hand washing timer and reminders - this had no measurable impact.
    6. Turning off Background App Refresh - this had no measurable impact.
    7. Turning off "Hey Siri" - this had no measurable impact.
    8. Turning off Always on Display - this seemed to give me about an hour or so of extra battery life.
    9. Turning off Cellular. I have a cellular plan but I leave cellular disabled all the time.
    10. Sent the watch to Apple to have the problem looked at after a support chat and phone call. The techs sent the watch back to me within a few hours and told me that there was no issue since the battery health was at 90%. I have since had two more phone calls with support, and have a fourth scheduled later this week to give the details to Apple engineering so they can look into the issue further.

    My question: is there something I'm missing? Is there something software related I might be missing? Or is it simply a bad battery but the battery health indicator is incorrect? If so, does anyone have any suggestions on how to get Apple to fix it?

    My wrist is itchy and warm. I have a nickel allergy but apparently the glass under the Apple Watch is safe. I have a clear case around the back of the watch.

    Phone unpaired, watch didn’t

    Got a new phone and while trying to move my Apple Watch 6 over, I attempted to unpair it with my X and while the phone was cool with the breakup, the watch decided to stay active.

    Do I need to reset it and start the process with the new 13? I had an issue with getting the cell service running when I set it u with the X and am worried resetting and pairing will do that again.

    Anybody have any advice?

    Apple watch color change?

    I received an apple watch for christmas and I LOVE IT so much! The only thing is, it's blue which is my least favorite color lol. Does anyone recommend any skins? Are they worth it?

    Total calories burned

    So I've recently gotten an Apple Watch but I can't seem to find a place to find how many calories I've burned in a day. Only active calories. I checked online but couldn't really find an answer. Is this just not a feature that exists? Thanks.

    Charging an Apple Watch series 7 with a MacBook // using its power adapter

    Hello, I own a 2017 MacBook Pro but it has been having problems with the battery, its battery is very old so I basically work on it with the Mac plugged in and charging at all times.

    I'm gonna buy an Apple Watch series 7 but I do not own a USB-C adapter for it. Do you think charging it on my Mac might hurt the watch? Do you think I could use the Mac power adapter to charge it?

    Series 7 Fast Charging

    I just got my first apple watch two days ago. It's the series 7. I`m really happy with it except for one fact. For some reason my Apple Watch isn't fast charging correctly. Im on watch.os 8.3.

    I´m also using a 20W Brick

    Can the series 0 tell the time without being connected to an iPhone?

    My little brother is obsessed with all our apple watches but is way too young to have such a device. I have seen several series 0's for dirt cheap and was wondering if they can function as a basic watch just to tell the time and that's it without being connected to an iPhone. I have a spare iPhone to setup the watch that's fine but I don't want to be reliant on said iPhone.

    New band

    I know there's been a similar post in here but I wanted to clarify to be sure.

    I bought an Apple Watch Series 7 41mm yesterday with an Abyss Blue 41mm band.

    However I also want to purchase the 41mm Starlight and 40mm Pistachio bands online.

    Will the 40mm Pistachio band fit my 41mm watch?
