- Deleted TM earlier to do a reinstall, app deleted and when I did a hard restart it gives me this. App Store just says “open” and won’t let me reinstall. TM does not show up in iPhone storage either. Any suggestions on how I can fix this?

Posted: 11 Dec 2021 04:39 AM PST So I read that if someone sends an email to your alias adress created with Hide my email, you can respond to that email directly and the recipient will only be able to see your alias adress. At first the recipient only saw my alias adress in their inbox, however when they responded, it showed my real email iCloud adress under the "reply-to" field. I'm more in need of emotional rather than tech support right now. Why the hell is it so freaking difficult to transfer pictures and videos from your iPhone to your PC? It should be simple: you plug your phone in using the USB cable, your computer recognizes it as a hard drive and you can copy-paste the media files you want to save on your computer in one click. Easy peasy right? Then why the f-ck do I need to use that awful Photos app on Windows and why is there an error popping up every single time? Why do I have to use iCloud, OneDrive or Dropbox to somehow make it easier? My computer and iPhone are 5 centimeters apart, my files shouldn't have to travel half the planet to get in here. Aren't guys at Apple aware that data centers and cloud storage gobble up so much electricity? Why are they doing this? Why? Why!? WHY!? /rant [link] [comments] | ||

I've tried resetting the network settings, and it worked for a while, but then after resetting the router, the issue reappears. | Posted: 10 Dec 2021 09:15 PM PST Recently I had something stolen which had an AirTag. In order to retrieve it (as it was taken 300 miles from my home) a kind stranger helped me and a policeman by logging into my AppleID on his phone to track it down. Naturally I thought logging out would be the end, surely, Apple would allow this without leaving any residual data - oh no. To test that this would indeed work before wasting Police time, my partner logged in to my Apple ID on his phone, ever since I have noticed that ALL his passwords have appeared in my keychain despite logging out of my Apple ID on his phone. My passwords were also synced to his device. Now to stress, this strangers passwords have never appeared on my phone as my partners did, but since there was no option selected I'm worried mine might be on his and I don't know about it. He had a new iPhone, so may not have had any passwords of his own yet. Anyone got advice as to what I can do? I'm not sure if they are permanently synced (will changing on my keychain update his, an experiment with my partner suggests no..) this seems like a.. slight… security flaw Apple should know about. You should be able to use iCloud without the single most valuable piece of data being permanently given to someone else (this didn't happen with photos, messages or browsing history, just passwords 🙃) [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 11 Dec 2021 04:21 AM PST Is anyone else having issues with the accessibility zoom feature? I have an 8 plus running iOS 15. I used to use this feature all the time, double-tap with 3 fingers and the entire screen zooms in. Just before my phone updated to 15, it more or less stopped working. If I look when I do it it zooms maybe 1%, so I know the feature is still there. I have turned off the option, rebooted the phone, etc. With my old eyes I would use this often, now it's essentially useless. Any suggestions? [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 11 Dec 2021 02:27 AM PST As a previous android user, it is mind boggling to me that there is no icon, LED or anything else that signals that there is a new notification, unless I manually swipe down to open the notification center. I was hoping that at least on the lock screen, the notification center could be always visible, and I have set things up accordingly. But still, when I open the lock screen, I only see my reminders, but the rest of the notification center is hidden unless I swipe up to bring it into view. Exactly like this user describes it: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/252758213 Because I am used to things being more...apparent and obvious on an android phone I keep missing out on notifications if I don't have the phone in my pocket. The guy in the threat didn't find a solution either, so I'd like to ask the crowd here if anyone has some helpful input...
