Open safari > YouTube > play anything> use the rewind key (f7 press or hold). Does it work for y'all? Mine lags or loads…also try using both rewind and forward on google chrome > YouTube doesn't work either . Is something wrong with my MacBook? I just bought a week ago. | Elmedia Player fix or alternatives? Posted: 03 Dec 2021 11:51 PM PST Hello I was trying to play a .ts file with Elmedia Player but noticed it wouldn't work, tried an mp4 and noticed it also wouldn't work, I tried a previous file (mkv) that played just fine, now it won't. The only conclusion I can come to is that Elmedia Player can't play files from my external hard drive or flash drive. Is there a way to fix that or is there an alternative video player than can play files from an external HDD or flash drive? I use an imac with 10.11.6 (El Capitan) and a macbook pro with 10.15.7 (Catalina). A quick google search showed that people liked IINA. Not sure if my older computers, mainly my imac will be able to run it. So before I go and just try downloading IINA I'd want to see if anyone else ran into this and can provide some advice. I am able to pull down both bars on top and swipe to the right to pull down the other menu, but I am not able to touch and start any other apps. I can even press the power button and it won't turn off. I have tried to force shut it off, but it won't even do that. I can use flash but no camera, use siri to set timers and alarms and such, but she can't even open apps. I can get notifications but I can't click the apps. PLEASE what can I do?! [link] [comments] |

| Trouble Making an iTunes Connect Account Posted: 03 Dec 2021 10:07 PM PST I'm not sure if this is the place to post this, if not let me know where I can go. I need to make an iTunes Connect account to publish my book onto the iBook store. I have two apple ids and have inputted them both multiple times, but I have not received a verification email to make the account. I have put it in literally every site that asks for it (my 2-factor authentication is so annoying to me rn), but it still won't let me publish my pages document to iBooks because it's getting stuck on the loading screen and then says couldn't sign in to iTunes connect. I have tried on both Chrome and Safari, but neither works and they're both up-to-date. I have restarted my Mac and tried it on my phone. I have scanned every email from iTunes, and it's not anywhere. At this point, should I just make a new apple ID and hope it works? What's the issue with my current ones though? :/ Some info, I'm on an iMac 24" (M1) on macOS Big Sur (v 11.4). [link] [comments] |
| What's the best video recording software for iMac? Posted: 03 Dec 2021 10:06 PM PST I recently downloaded OBS project to be able to record myself and have noticed that it's laggy as hell. Do you think that's because of a compatibility issue with Apple products or just because iMacs don't have a good enough graphics card to support video recording software? Is there a video recording software made specifically for iMac that would result in zero lag? I'm looking for software that will allow me to record my screen while also displaying a video of myself in the corner of the screen. About 30 minutes ago I subscribed ($9.99 monthly) to get 2tb of storage so I can have more space and download the update but it jumps between saying I have 32gb and 2tb, it won't let me download the update at all. | Posted: 03 Dec 2021 05:08 PM PST Hi everyone, I've been having a lot of problems with my iPhone 7G recently. It's a black 128gb if it matters. I had it for around a year and a half, and it was owned for maybe a year or two before me. I had no major issues with it before a couple months ago where those problems started appearing: -Microphone not working for all apps -Unable to take photos or videos on the Camera app, but it kind of works on Instagram -Unable to respond to calls. The first time someone calls me, I only hear the ringtone and the vibration. The following times, I can respond but there's no sound from both sides. I can't hear them, and they can't hear me. -Instagram app crashes when trying to record a voice message Important to note is that everything seems to fix itself for around 20 minutes once I restart the cellphone completely. When I updated it to IOS 15, everything was working perfectly for an entire day, and I thought that I was done with the problems, but they all came back so it's probably a software issue. She deleted them from both my photo album as well as my recently deleted folder which also deleted them from my iTunes. So I lost a lot of photos I would have liked to have of recent family events like my sisters wedding and my daughters first time meeting Santa. Is there any software or tools you have used with success in the past for recovering lost photos/data, or ones that are generally accepted by this sub as the better ones to use? | AirPods 3rd gen / iOS: How do you turn off Spatial Audio everywhere? Posted: 03 Dec 2021 07:23 PM PST I don't like the spatial audio feature with the new AirPod 3rd gens. I often listen to videos while cooking or working and it's not useful to have the sound be directional, I just want it regular/full volume everywhere I turn my head. There doesn't seem to be an option to fully disable the spatial audio. You have to hold down the volume control in Control Center and disable it for every new app that plays video or high quality audio. Under Accessibly > AirPods, the Follow iPhone setting doesn't turn spatial audio off completely, it just removes one of the volume options from Control Center How do you fully opt out of spatial audio phone-wide? I want every app to have "Spatialize Stereo" set to "Off" by default in Control Center. [link] [comments] |

I have known about this problem but the nearest Apple Store is kind of far away. I was going to go tomorrow, but after reading about the warranty, I now realize: I've lost the receipt. Long story short: bought 2 XRs, activated then both on Christmas of 2020. One of the XR's works fine, but the other one's NFC chip doesn't work. Neither does Apple Pay on it, which uses NFC. It's very inconvenient. Now, mind you, the phone with the broken NFC chip is in great condition. It's never been opened, never had a cracked screen or back glass, or anything. So, what now? I'm mainly dedicated to editing videos and modeling in 3D, and the truth is that I'm quite comfortable with my computer to do my work. The point is that I recently saw a person on YouTube rendering a video that is 10 minutes long and in 4K, and it only takes 5 minutes to render the video. In my case, a video of that length in 1080p takes me between 13 to 20 minutes to render. The difference is quite large considering that my resolution is lower. I also saw in that same video faster rendering in 3D with much heavier things in much less time. However, in other videos where they test AAA games, it doesn't seems to have much power. So I would like to ask from my ignorance if the MacBook Pro 2021 with M1 Pro is better for video editing/3D modeling, or if it's really not worth buying for me. These are the specifications of my pc: Intel Core i7 8700K 3.70GHz / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 / 16 GB RAM Sorry if the question is stupid, I really don't understand much beyond a few basic things.
