(Sprint) Posted: 26 Nov 2021 12:45 AM PST Just ordered an iPhone to be picked up in store today but I'm confused as to if I can pick it up. I'm on a family Sprint/T-mobile plan and I'm not the primary account holder. According to Apple the primary account holder of a Sprint account must be present but not for T-Mobile? The two companies merged so I'm not sure what to do here. Anyone else have experience with this? Going to possibly go alone to see if they can do it without the primary there. [link] [comments] | ||

Today, out of curiosity, he was looking through the Apple Support app on his iPhone and got to a page where you can fill out a claim (for theft/loss). Strangely, my partner did not click anything but suddenly his phone was locked out. The screen turned black and it looked like it was reformatting. Now his iphone screen says "iPhone locked to owner, the location of this iPhone can be seen by "Apple ID email" After logging into his iCloud through his computer, it looks like there is a claim being processed, and after looking at Find my iPhone, it says that his phone has already been erased. This is incredibly strange, as my partner did not go through the actual process of submitting a claim, it was all automatically done for him. He didn't confirm, or put in any information to the claim application. Now he lost everything in his phone. He has a scheduled call tomorrow with a support specialist. Wondering if anyone else has come across this situation? It seems like a glitch on the Apple Support App / AGI (Applecare Insurance Provider). Very frustrating how this has happened, and any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. | Audio will not record while taking a video on Iphone 11 - help plzzzzzzzz Posted: 25 Nov 2021 09:21 PM PST Iphone 11 Running I0S 15.1 I have googled this and looked at dozens of results and somehow nothing applies / works for my issue.. When I take a video using the camera the audio will not record - altho it can be heard very very very faintly so I guess my title was slightly misleading but honestly It's more or less not present at all - Muffled down to mabe 5% of what it was when it was working.. The odd thing is that if I record a video say using instagram or another app - The volume is there and fine...Or say I record a voice memo It's fine as well..It seems to be happening only when using the actual iphone camera. When I pick up the phone the other person tells me that they were the ones receiving a call from me. It's like my phone dials them but also shows it as if they're calling me. When I open the camera app it's just a black screen with the typical camera additions as if I were taking a photo of pure blackness. It's the same when I try to open the camera from another app (such as Instagram story). However, when I flip on the camera app to the front camera, everything is normal. | iCloud photos not downloading correctly after transfer? Posted: 25 Nov 2021 06:50 PM PST I just transferred from an iPhone 8 Plus to an iPhone 13 Pro Max, but I have some issues with iCloud photos. Here you can see that in my 8, it says that 502 items have not been uploaded to iCloud, but on my 13, it says that it's over 1,000 items. I went into settings to select download and keep originals (I want to keep all my stuff on the phone and stop using iCloud) but it doesn't seem to download them. It occasionally shows a message saying the download was paused with the same number of photos — over 2,000, and it doesn't go down, but it then goes back to the iCloud storage almost full message at the bottom of the album. I tried selecting download and keep again, but I haven't seen the "download paused" or anything other than the iCloud storage message. Any videos also will not play. I don't know if this matters but it's 59 minutes long. anyway whenever i deleted it, close the photos app, it appears again. so i delete it, check the deleted folder snd it's not there it said it was uploading to icloud but couldn't because there wasn't any space so i thought that turning that off would fix it. it didn't. whatever i screenshot or take a pic of also won't load in the camera roll. I send a text and when the person responds is comes in a separate text with no contact info, just the phone number. My contact photos are not showing up and the one says "maybe: Paula" I've tried turning my phone off and on but honestly I'm pretty stupid when it comes to tech so I'm not sure what else to do. He's an ex, I deleted his number from my contacts BUT (just in case..you know) I typed the digits into my notes app. Today I was using the notes app and somehow it opened to that note in my pocket and dialled the number. I noticed when I looked at my phone and saw the note was open and then saw the outgoing call in my call log. Aside from being embarrassed, I'm now left wondering if he answered. It says the call duration was 22 seconds. Does that include the dial or the voicemail? Was it 22 seconds of him listening to my pocket? Or just 22 seconds of ringing? Posted: 25 Nov 2021 02:05 PM PST This is something I have noticed recently (my back up phone that I occasionally take on hikes and trips) where my 11 pro max would display "No SIM Card Installed" if it's been dunked under water. Usually ~24 hours after it has dried, I pop out the sim, place it back in and cell service will work again. This only happens when the phone has been introduced to water and I'm curious if Apple had designed this on purpose. The sales rep said that the phone should be charged with a 25w USB-C to lightning charger, and that anything under that level could potentially damage the phone.
