| Posted: 25 Nov 2021 07:42 AM PST I know this is old news but I'm just super stoked Apple brought him back. We need more celebrities like him. Willing to put aside himself and his views to discuss and possibly accept new ideas, views, opinions or beliefs. Well read and spoken. I don't always agree with him but I will always respect him. Its also nice to see him get to do actual journalism. I loved the Daily Show but it held him back from getting in depth without being funny. I would subscribe to ATV just for this show. Posted: 25 Nov 2021 05:49 AM PST Neither my iphone se (2nd gen, ios 15.0.2), nor my macbook pro 2015 15" (macOS 12.0.1 monterey) recognize the apple tv 3rd gen (a1469) as an airplay display. I checked that everything is on the same wifi network, and did a software update on the apple TV, but still they apple tv doesn't show up as an option for screen mirroring on my iphone or my macbook pro. Looks like apple quietly cut this functionality from the new operating system updates, which is a huge shame. Can anyone confirm the same problem and/or provide any suggestions/solutions? | DirectTV Steam app - content stops playing / won't start Posted: 25 Nov 2021 04:29 AM PST Curious if anyone is using the DirectTV Stream app on AppleTV 4K (latest) and experience issues where content, such as On Demand, will not start - meaning it will not play at all. Clicking on Watch Now / Play does nothing. After restarting the AppleTV several times, it'll eventually start to work again - then after some period of time, nothing will play except live tv from Guide. AppleTV is on latest (non-beta) version. I'm looking for a possible solution. When playing via web or iOS, there is never an issue - only on the AppleTV. [link] [comments] | ||
| Apple TV 4K causing my tv to reboot? Posted: 24 Nov 2021 11:38 PM PST Not sure how to explain this, but here goes. I have an Apple TV 4K (1st gen), and yesterday when we were airplaying to it, videos etc started to stutter and there was a noticeable lag of 10+ seconds - even on navigating my phone homescreen. This randomly caused my actual (Phillips) TV set to reboot (fully - not just sleep/wake). This happened about three times in succession. The only way the Apple TV is connected to my Phillips TV is through an HDMI cable. Any thoughts? Not sure where to begin. [link] [comments] | ||
| I want to like “Invasion” but… Posted: 24 Nov 2021 09:58 PM PST Slow start aside. What is with the intermittent subtitles? Each episode we have the scenes from Japan. Only some of them have the subtitles on. In the most recent episode an earlier scene it automatically had subtitles when the Japanese scenes were going on. The rest of the episode with the Japanese scenes they have no subtitles pop up. So I have to rewind, turn on subtitles, and watch it again to understand what is happening in those scenes. Why is it so inconsistent? All the other shows know if I am watching the English version they subtitle the non English scenes automatically. This is the only show I've seen on here I have to toggle it on/off during the show. [link] [comments] | ||
