- I’m trying to create a shortcut that will take all the items in a reminders list and move them to another list. But when the shortcut runs, it gives me a menu consisting of all the items it found, and only the item I select gets moved to the other list. I want the entire bunch to be moved together.

| Posted: 12 Nov 2021 12:33 PM PST Hello all, I have a parent with multiple sclerosis who is constantly making changes to her iPhone without understanding what she is doing. This often leads to her phone being locked, put into airplane mode, calls being blocked without her meaning too, and other things. My question is, is there any way I can restrict her access to certain settings? Her multiple sclerosis is like a mild form of dementia and she doesn't mean to make these changes, and I'm hoping there is some better way to manage her phone for her so it reduces the likelihood of her locking her phone up or making it so we can't reach her. | Posted: 12 Nov 2021 05:48 AM PST CEO says to me yesterday his other CEO friends get stats from their orgs via "Numbers" on iOS and I should look into this. Seems to me someone at their org's are keying stats into a file and then sharing it via Numbers. Anyone else doing this and can offer some tips and tricks? Obviously, we are a Windows shop and Excel is preferred. I could export stats from our ERP system, but unsure how I would get it into Numbers [link] [comments] | ||

| iOS Swipe Keyboard won’t type “for” Posted: 12 Nov 2021 02:21 PM PST Lately I've been having an issue where whenever I try to type "for" I get "four" or "fire". I would think "for" is the most common of those words. I can't seem to get the keyboard to lean however. I'm thinking of just resetting it and starting over. Any idea how to fix this? Also the keyboard doesn't correct dont to don't automatically. I've tried all the other swipe keyboards and none of them are an ideal solution. Thx- Tom [link] [comments] | ||

| quick reply doesnt work (only messenger) Posted: 12 Nov 2021 01:51 PM PST hello guys, i'm using iOS 15.1 and i just noticed that if someone messages me on Messenger and try to quick reply from lock screen and hit "reply" option when using haptic touch on the particular message, the message just disappears from the lock screen and there's no keyboard and text popup like before. Quick reply with WhatsApp and Messages are working normaly. I tried to update Messenger today but its still same. I'm happy, but I need one thing that I forgot about on the "old phone". How do I backup the current state of my phone "new phone" without overwriting the backup of my "old phone", then restore my old phone, get the data I need, then restore my new phone? Main question is will backing up my "new phone" that has the same name as my old phone (sorry, wasn't thinking) overwrite the backup of my "old phone"? [link] [comments] | ||

| Heavy battery drain since updating to iOS 15? Posted: 11 Nov 2021 02:34 PM PST Had my iPhone 11 for 2 years and it was on 89% battery health till about 2 weeks ago when I updated to iOS 15. Ever since my battery has been draining like crazy, i turned if haptic feedback and background app refresh but my battery health has decreased from 89% to 86% in just 2 weeks which is horrendous. I don't do any resource eating tasks and am just a "normal" user. Is anyone else also experiencing this? [link] [comments] | ||
| Speech-to-text ALWAYS inserts “consul” instead of “console” Posted: 12 Nov 2021 11:11 AM PST NOTE: Solved…ish? -ish because it's not a solution or fix per se so much as an annoying—albeit usable and consistently functional—workaround (see the end of my edit at the very bottom of this post). Device: iPhone X iOS Version: 15.1 As a peasant console gamer and persistent speech-to-text user, I frequently text my friends and want to use the word "console" but get "consul" every. single. time. despite never wanting it! Is there any way to retrain my speech-to-text so I don't have to manually correct this every time? Or is there some other workaround? I hoped it might learn from me always immediately changing it to "console," but that hasn't happened. And I tried adding a text replacement shortcut, but apparently that only works when typing messages and not using speech-to-text. Would appreciate any input! Thanks in advance, all. EDIT: Really emphasizing the long O sound resulted in "Consol" instead of "consul." š However, pronouncing it cun-SOLE (as in, I console my girlfriend when she's sad) at least resulted in the spelling I'm looking for š¤·š»♂️ [link] [comments] | ||

Is this and an anticompetitive move against non AirPods and Magic keyboards? I'm not pissing away another $200 for each, am returning both my new iPhone and iPad if I can't get Bluetooth to work with third part accessories like on an Android. [link] [comments] | ||

This is not working anymore with my Mac Mini M1. The restored new phone has not one single 3rd party app (except the stock apps) installed. This only happens when I backup and restore the iPhone on my Mac Mini M1. I tried to re-produce this on my Intel mac and it works as expected. I tried this with different phones to make sure it's not something on my daily phone which causes this issue. I also tried to create and restore the backups using Apple Configurator. I also makes no difference wether the iPhone is/was DEP / ABM enrolled or is just a normal phone. Did you ever see this behaviour on Apple Silicon Macs? Best reagards, Flo. [link] [comments] | ||
