    Anyone else having issues with their 12 series iPhone? Internet says it can last 17 hrs but in my case I literally have anything off that uses my battery and everything I can do that saves battery but my iPhone 12 Pro still lasts just a bit more than 6 hrs and drains battery when not in use like when I'm in school or sleeping. Apple couldn't help it, they started a diagnostic but their was not problems found with the battery. Also, it's Still under warranty.

    Incorrect date stamp on the photo

    Running iOS 15.1.1 on iPhone 12

    I have a photo that shows appropriate date stamp in Files app. I try saving it in the Photos app but the stamp doesn't get read. Could anyone explain a solution or reason why this happens?

    Is there a way to import passwords into Keychain WITHOUT MacOS/Safari?

    My family is all using Lastpass for their password management at the moment. I'd like to migrate them all into using IOS built-in Keychain password manager.

    None of them use a Mac at all. They just use their phones. Is there any way, thru a web interface and/or iCloud, or something, to import their passwords into Keychain?

    I COULD create accounts for each of them on my Mac, import the passwords, and then delete those accounts, but that seems like a lot of extraneous work just to import passwords. Any other suggestions are appreciated.

    How to get camera media from iphone to USB storage

    How can I get photos and videos out of an iphone and onto a usb drive? I can buy a usb drive that connects to lightning or a lightning to usb adapter but how do I actually copy the media? It doesn't show in the Files app.

    Asking because my wife's phone is completely full. 90% of the space is photos and videos that she recorded. Her icloud has been full for months. The only apple computer we have is my work computer which is full with work stuff. Previous attempts to download things from icloud to her windows computer have been frustrating to say the least.

    Where are my offloaded apps?

    Hi! So, I was running out of storage so I selected the "enable offloading apps" option…to my understanding it's supposed to make unused apps greyed out and the iCloud logo should appear next to them and I'll have to redownload to use them again, which is totally fine.

    But when I enabled it, 30gbs of storage cleared, but no apps have gone greyed out or had the cloud symbol next to their name. None have actually been deleted completely that I can tell. Where can I check which apps this happened to?

    Music on mom’s iPhone keeps playing songs that she doesn’t have downloaded

    Hi all, my mom has the iPhone 12, software up to date, but this has been happening for months and months. She'll go to her library (Apple Music) and play from there, but after a while it starts to play songs not even on her phone, but similar to songs she listens to and calls it "[mom]'s station". I've tried doing all the solutions I've seen from google but it never seems to fix it.

    Found myself in a situation where I couldn't find my iPhone in my own house. I knew it was nearby as my AirPods could connect to them. I had an idea of finding my iPhone by activating Siri on it through my connected AirPods and asking Siri to "Ping my iPhone". Siri responded like "Looking for your iPhone…" and then "Its nearby. Pinging your iPhone now…".

    But this never made a sound on my iPhone. At first i thought this might not be working on my iPhone because it was running iOS 15.2 Public Beta. I tried the same method with my iPad which is not on any betas and found same result, no sound at all.

    Eventually to find my iPhone i had a workaround. Instead of asking Siri to Ping my iPhone I asked it to set a timer for 5 secs. Which worked flawlessly!

    Now tell me asking Siri to Ping your iPhone on your iPhone should work right?

    Wireless auto join

    What exactly is this setting supposed to do? My impression was that it would leave the wireless network configured on the device, but not automatically connect to it. Meaning if I wanted to connect to it, I would have to manually go in and select it. This is not what what I am seeing however.

    I have set this option multiple times on the xfinitywifi network (in an attempt to keep it from auto joining the network in passing), but I somehow always seem to get connected and the setting is turned back on. I even turned it off and went back into the wireless network settings to verify that it was indeed off and saved. What am I missing?

    Is there a way to improve the iOS keyboard dictionary?

    About a week ago I switched from Android to an iPhone 13 and for the most part I'm having a good time but the keyboard is annoying me and my friends that have to deal with my messages.

    So far I've found that it doesn't know the names of streets around me and it doesn't know the names of cars either. It didn't know that Miata was a word. So even when I type out these names correctly it will autocorrect them to something else. I wrote the name of a nearby road "Bishop Grandin" and it corrected to "Bishop grandson"

    Is there a way to expand the dictionary? Besides of course adding one word at a time.

    I realize now that I can install the Google keyboard and have done that for the time being. It is much better. But I'd really prefer to keep the Apple keyboard if it would just recognize the words.

    Transferring only SMS with Move to iOS not working

    So yesterday i got my iPhone 13 mini and i wanted to transfer data from my Samsung Galaxy A50 but the transfer always got stuck on "Preparing..." screen on the Samsung device... I tried transferring only google account and it worked instantly.

    I don't care about other data the only thing i want to transfer is my SMS... I'm starting to think that it's only a problem of Samsung devices, becasue i tried to transfer data from by mother's Samsung and it's the same problem but a friend of mine had no issues transferring data from his old Xperia to his new iPhone 13 mini...

    Can someone tell me what to do, please? I'm getting pretty furious about this because i tried everything i've found on forums, reddit posts etc.

    Battery experiences w/a 7?

    iPhone 7, iOS 15.2, battery health at 86%. The bottom half of my battery seems smaller than the top. Overnight it loses 5-8% when starting above 90%, but 15-20% when starting at less than 40% or so. Is this common?

    Best way to develop iOS app outside of MacOS?

    All my Google searches are turning up answers from like 2012.

    Is there any easy, widely used way to develop and publish iOS apps outside of MacOS? (I don't have a Mac, but I have an iPhone.)

    I have Windows and a Digital Ocean Droplet running Ubuntu.

    Isn't React good for cross-platform development, for example?

    Like, let's say I write all the code for the app, on Windows or Ubuntu (let's say it's a small, simple app).

    How do I then see my app appear on my phone?

    With TestFlight?

    Or can I submit it to the App Store for review online or something?

    Control Panel microstutter when pulling it down after a few minutes

    I'm on iOS 15.1 using an iPhone xR, does anyone have the same issue? Is there any fix for that? I tried to hard restart twice already, sadly it didn't fix it.

    Is it possible to screen record at low frames rates?

    Hi,

    I need a way to record my screen for long periods of time but that leads to huge file sizes.

    I've tried googling and I've installed a few apps but none seem to let you record at low fps. Ideally, I would like 1 or 2 fps.

    I found a way to do it using a shortcut that takes a screengrab every second but this method is insanely annoying as it makes the screen 'flash' each time it does it and sometimes it just randomly stops.

    If you have any idea on how this can be done I would appreciate it.

    app logins didn't transfer after syncing to new phone

    just moved to a new phone and did the transfer via icloud. keychain and everything is turned on, most of the stuff transfered like my email setup, website logins and everything, but on most (all?) apps the logins are missing. this ranges from mild for stuff like dropbox to very annoying for my digital vax certificate or authenticator for work, etc.

    is this a known issue, and anyone know how i can fix it ? can i force a resync to icloud from the old phone (using the extra space you get for transitioning..)
