    Hi all!

    So, unfortunately the Apple earbuds don't fit my ears at all and I'm never able to wear them so I got an adapter so I could wear my Samsung earbuds. I went on a trip last Saturday and the adapter worked great and I had no issues! Today however, I wanted to listen to music before class and every second there's a popping noise from the headphones. I even tried another pair and it's doing the same thing. Not sure why this is happening when they worked fine on Saturday, it's only been 3 days? Is the adapter broken or did my earbuds decide to die in the 3 day period since I last used them?

    How to clear an ipad with out needing the apple password later?

    Hello! So recently i inherited my grandmas ipad. Her care givers were wondering if they could have it so instead i gave them my old ipad (grandmas ipad was newer) so i wiped my old ipad for them and sent it to them. When they got it they needed my apple ID passcode to unlock it and set it up (anti theft feature). Anyways i decided i was going to sell my grandmas Ipad to buy the new Ipad mini. I got a guy on facebook market place who i'm selling it to but was wondering if anyone knew how to wipe it with out worrying about having to send him my apple id when he sets it up?

    iPhone full storage notification with 10GB available

    Hello;

    My iPhone crashed over the weekend, and I have since had it restored; since restoration, I have a notification that my phone storage is full.

    However, my phone actually has 10GB available.

    I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this (it sounds like a lot of people have experienced similar storage issues) and figured out how to turn off the notification?

    Timelapse Video

    A video was accidentally taken in Timelapse mode. Can someone help me figure out how to get it back to the regular speed? Recorded on iPhone 11. I don't have a Mac or iMovie. Please help

    First of all, I am SO GLAD this sub is here with people who are willing to help.

    I am using a 2019 16" MBP that I very recently upgraded from Big Sur to Monterey. Everything seems to be running okay as far as I know.

    However today I purchased two 4 TB Samsung EVO 870 SATA SSDs that I have enclosed in a pair of OWC Mercury Elite Pro mini USB-C connected boxes.

    When I connect either of them to one of the Thunderbolt ports on the computer, I appropriately get a notification that the disk isn't recognized with the option to initialize it. Selecting initialize brings up Disk Utility and after selecting the external drive and my format options I start the process running.

    Note that I have tried selecting either APFS or MacOS Extended (Journaled) - both with GUID Partition Map - and am having the same problem.

    For a couple of minutes of the format process running the drive enclosure activity light is flashing, however it changes to solid rather than flashing after the initial period. I am assuming that there is no longer activity on the drive at that point, however Disk Utility continues running with no change in status.

    As of this post it is still displaying that it is "erasing" the original disk name and "creating Untitled"…after over 30 minutes!

    Something is wrong with my setup, but I'm not sure if this is an Apple issue (unlikely), a Samsung issue (probably not), or an OWC issue (I'm guessing it is here somehow).

    When Disk Utility first is displayed, the only device displayed under "External" is the "OWC Mercury Elite Pro mini" however there is no line below that to display the specific SSD enclosed within. However when I select that option, Disk Utility is recognizing that it is a 4 TB SSD…and it appears to at least begin the formatting process correctly.

    As I mentioned, I have purchased TWO of these SSD/enclosure combos…and I am having the same problem on each of them - lending further doubt that this is a hardware issue and more likely some kind of setup issue. Unless there is some compatibility problem between these devices…and I have not found one so far…I must be missing something else.

    My only thought that this may be Apple related is if there is some issue with Monterey that hasn't been addressed yet. I generally don't upgrade this soon after an OS release, however I have a new machine on order that will arrive with Monterey pre-installed so I wanted to begin familiarizing myself with it.

    Any help you can provide will be GREATLY appreciated!

    The prompt keeps coming back. I have selected “Leave On” a hundred times. Happens with other apps as well. Any settings to disable or enable it permanently?

    iPhone 6 - facetime icon in message thread not available

    I have an iPhone 6 on the latest software version (just updated) .

    Issue: Facetime icon in chat thread for individual message (I know I can't group FaceTime on my phone as it's too old) is greyed out.

    -Go to messages

    -Click individual message thread for user that has iPhone (this is affecting all of my Apple user contacts)

    -Touch their name/photo & the drop down appears for Audio Call and Info but FaceTime is greyed out

    -If I click INFO - It takes me to the Details screen. The FaceTime button here is blue and I can click it.

    -So I have to take this extra step, why??

    This issue popped up after I logged out of my Apple ID and back in (trying to fix another issue).

    I have:

    -Reset my ALL SETTINGS & NETWORK SETTINGS

    -Validated that FaceTime setting is "on" and I am using my Apple ID for FaceTime

    -Restarted my phone & force quit the Message app

    -I do not have screen time restrictions setup

    -Logged out and back into my AppleID (since this caused the issue)

    Rebooting MacBook Air to factory settings

    MacBook specs

    MacBook Air 2015 Intel core i5, 4gb ram, 128GB storage

    I have a big issue, my laptop was slow as fuck so I decided well, I'm going to factory reset it and reinstall everything, I've done this already once on this laptop. Step by step of what I did

    1. Made sure everything needed was on the cloud service I wanted
    2. Logged out of iCloud removed laptop from iCloud account
    3. Command + R while booting laptop
    4. Disk utility > selected Macintosh HD > erase. /this is where I effed it
    5. Once he disk was erased, I saw the option that said "reinstall MacOS Monterrey" it was right there
    6. I clicked "reinstall MacOS Monterrey" saw the time was 2 hours, said to myself "that's too long" my dumbass clicked cancel
    7. Next thing my laptop restarted and the only thing shown was a file icon with a question mark (?)
    8. Rebooted again with comman+R and my option was to "reinstall MacOS X YOSEMITE 10.10"
    9. Did that and got in the computer
    10. I try to login to iCloud and for as many attempts to login it won't, my iPhone would get the notification that I'm trying to login and of course I click "allow" and it gives me the 6 digit verification, but the computer won't give me a place to enter those 6 digits,
    11. I'm guessing Yosemite does not support this second factor verification and I can't login to the App Store and download MacOS Monterrey.
    12. Tried creating a new Apple ID with a different mail but I need to register a phone number which will end up in the same 2 factor verification loop. Im out of ideas and scared

    2015 13" MacBook Pro Kernel Panics when waking from sleep

    For some reason when I wake my Mac from sleep the screen is black and none of the buttons work. Eventually, I get to the "your computer has restarted because of a problem" then I press any key to resume startup. Does anybody know why this might be happening?

    I am currently on Monterey 12.0.1 and have started to experience very slow boot times seemingly out of nowhere. I have already reset my NVRAM, booted to safe mode and have also verified that I have plenty of remaining storage available. I have an SSD as the boot drive and have not downloaded or installed any seedy files or software. This began a week or two ago. This iMac booted within a few seconds just a few weeks ago and now takes a few minutes with the progress bar hovering in the middle for most of that time.

    Upgrade from 8 plus to SE 2020?

    My iPhone 8 plus is basically on it's death bed. Replaced and cracked screen with a little green dot on it, battery life at 51%, annoying dim spots on the camera lenses, and quiet speakers. My budget is a bit tight at the moment, so I'm thinking of buying a used iPhone SE 2020, or a used iPhone XR. Any advice?

    Magic Trackpad 2 occasionally laggy.

    Bought a Magic Trackpad 2 recently and I'm using it with my M1 MBP while it's in clamshell/desktop mode. Most of the time it's fine but there's periods where the tracking becomes really laggy and sometimes the haptic feedback is slightly delayed. It comes and goes. This was an issue on Big Sur and after upgrading to Monterey. Does not seem to happen while plugged in. What could be the issue?

    Ipad pro not turning on

    My ipad pro is currently just a black screen. There have been a few quick flashes of the home screen, and an apple logo after I tried to reset, but since then just darkness.

    Any ideas of what to try? I have a genius bar appointment. Any ideas about what to expect as far as cause/solutions?

    Ios 15.1 to ios 15.0.2

    So im having LTE issues every since i got ios 15.1 so i want to downgrade to ios 15.0.2 does anyone know how i would go about doing that (i looked it on youtube and only found on how to downgrade from 15.0.2 to 15.0.1 i also went on a ipsw website and it said 15.0.2 wasn't signed so i dont know what to do)

    iCloud storage trouble

    I recently upgraded my phone from the iPhone 7 to the iPhone 12 pro and all of a sudden I have no more iCloud storage and can't even take videos, do a backup or anything. When I had my 7 I upgraded storage plans to the 200gb plan. When I did that I had plenty of extra storage and was only using maybe 30gb all together. When I got the 12 pro and logged into my iCloud all of a sudden I was using all my iCloud storage.. I contacted apple and whoever and talked for 2 hours with them to see if anything was being doubled or whatever. They couldn't figure it out only told me that I must be using all that storage. I do have a lot of photos and videos (which that's what is taking up 99% of the storage) but I have about 3,000 pictures and a couple hundred videos. Ive seen multiple friends have a lower storage plan or the same and have about 25,000 pictures and such. Wayyy more than me and it doesn't take up all their storage. This is super annoying I don't really want to pay $10 a month for the 2tb plan. Mind you everytime I did a backup say I was using 140gb of storage so far then had about 25 pictures to add to the backup it would literally claim that those 25 pictures were 50gb of storage. Thats insane and I know there's google photos which I might have to resort to but didn't know if there was a solution out there. Sorry for the long post but had to get all the info out there!

    The screen on my iPhone 12 mini is more "yellowish" than my iPhone SE 2020

    I just replaced my iPhone SE 2020 with an iPhone 12 mini and noticed that the screen on the latter is more yellowish (whereas the SE 2020 seems more blue/white). I tried both phones at peak brightness with auto brightness and true tone off, and the difference is quite significant.

    Is that normal?

    How to fix water damage if phone is dead?

    I got water in my Iphone charger and i got the popup when i tried to charge it, then it died and now its not recognizing that the lightning cable is in. Do i leave it overnight and try it again in the morning, or is there another way to fix it?
