The app closes so many times a day it's really annoying. Sometimes adding a bookmark with cmd+D will also trigger such a crash. Who the heck decided to ship this? [link] [comments]  | ||
| Posted: 07 Oct 2021 01:21 AM PDT Hey y'all, Hoping that someone can help me. Got a problem that's driving me crazy. I got a MacBook Air (2020) and Airpods Pro. My wife uses the same MacBook occasionally and connects her airpods on her account. Every time she does that it kicks my airpods off and shows hers when I log back into my account. This means we both have to constantly connect our airpods after we've switched users. I'm logged into my Apple ID and she's logged into hers. Is there a way to let her use her account as her own Macbook and for me to do the same with my account. Not sure if this is user error or if this is a Big Sur bug? Got a few other issues such as big sur never displaying the correct battery percentage of airpods etc. Driving me nuts so any help would be immensely appreciated. If I've somehow missed someone asking this exact question then I apologize for me weakness in the ways of the Googlifuness. Edit: There's a new issue atm. Whenever my wife opens her case, it kicks mine off the MacBook and I have to remove hers again and connect mine again. Seems like BigSur Bluetooth issues right? [link] [comments]  | ||

| Guest user safari only bug (help) Posted: 06 Oct 2021 11:20 PM PDT Hello, I have a MacBook from early 2016, and I just turned on guest user with safari only. It promted me to reboot, so I did, and then this screen with a white lock appeared. It turned out to be the firmware password lock, but I don't recall setting any firmware password. A normal reboot, hard reboot, and recovery mode reboot all gives me that screen. Any help? [link] [comments]  | ||

Posted: 06 Oct 2021 07:14 PM PDT To use a Windows analogy, starting Windows 2000 the MS Dos Command was screwed up because Windows PC at this point at become too strong that Dos programs were running too fast even if they could be played. Starting Windows Vista, native dos support was removed and you had to use emulators such as DosBox to play games. How is it like for Mac? At what point did Mac PCs become to strong that 90s games esp those released when MS Dos was the main rival, started getting screwed up from issues such as too fast or graphical errors because the card was too strong? | MacOS Base System is the only boot option Posted: 06 Oct 2021 06:21 PM PDT Friend was trying to update an older MacBook Air 2014 to El Cap and somehow only has Mac OS Base System in option boot. Did they hose the old hard drive? They said something about "restarting to install" but doesn't remember any errors but it said "could not be installed on your computer" and now it won't boot back to the old installation. This is very apparent when watching youtube or other videos. The video itself seems to freeze, but the audio seems to be fine? I also notice it when I type sometimes where the letters I type do not update, and then they seem to update all at once. I did a ping test and it seems to be stable so I think it is probably a software issue? Has any experienced this before or has any advice? [link] [comments]  | ||

I just bought the computer and was hoping that the Apple TV app was a mirror of using the Apple TV, like downloading Amazon Prime, Netflix and Disney Plus.
