    New iPhone 13 won't download specific apps

    Hey y'all!!

    So I just transferred all my stuff over to my new iPhone 13. All the apps were stuck in "loading" so I deleted, and redownloaded all my apps again, but for some reason google maps and facebook won't download? Though all my other ones did. I've tried logging out and back into the app store, and restarting my phone. Not sure what else to do. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

    Phone set up

    Hey

    So I just finished setting up my new iPhone.

    At one point during the process, when I was restoring my phone from a backup, I had to input my old passcode. For some reason, it wouldn't accept it and I got a verification failed notification. I still had the option to continue, but there was some message about if I continued, but I forgot exactly what that part said.

    At this point, my brother takes over to help me. He used the continue option and everything on the phone is now set up. We restored my old information to the new phone and it's great.

    I'm just wondering if I'll be able to follow up on that verification notification. Am I missing out on anything important?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    iPhone XR got really hot, then died. I have plugged it in to charge and it will not turn back on.

    I have tried to do the volume up, volume down, and hold power and it does not work. Is my phone fried and done for? I also am wondering if it is something in the charge port blocking charging. Any suggestions would be awesome.

    (Please help) What does the blue ring around friends profile icon mean when checking location?

    Not talking about the translucent bigger ring, I know that's the proximity of where they are. But sometimes the profile has a dark blue ring around it, other times it's grey. My only guess is it's there when the user is on their phone but that doesn't seem to always be true. Any help?

    Help!! I did a photoshoot today and almost the photos are these grey boxes? It said my storage was full so I deleted 10 gigs of stuff and I thought it would make these photos appear but it didnt work. Is there any way to recover them?? :(

    Hey, I'm trying to set up my iphone- I already went through the initial steps and I thought I was done. But my old phone 6 is still getting the texts messages and the new one isn't receiving anything?

    Was i supposed to switch the sim cards? Sorry, this is probably a basic question but I'm not great with this stuff! Thanks in advance.

    transfer to new iphone

    my bf bought a new iphone 13 tonight and we are trying to do the quick transfer from his old phone to his new phone. Problem is, his old phone is cracked to shit and the bottom half of the screen is non functional. So we cant even unlock his old phone because it is requiring him to enter his password. Now we are trying to manually set up but that's not an option either because it is sending a verification code to the phone that is non functional. What can we do or what should we do at this point? Can we transfer data from his old phone at a later date? How would we do that or how should we go about doing that, or are we screwed out of all of the pictures, contacts, messages, etc. he has on his old phone.

    iPhone 13 Pro high heat levels?

    Upgraded from a 12 mini to 13 Pro and noticed it gets hot quickly when watching videos. Like way hotter than my 12 mini. VLC is also jerky, stuttering and makes the phone almost uncomfortably hot just under the camera are.

    Have I got a bad one or is this anyone else's experience! TIA

    Dropped my phone on the road no cracks but I noticed in top right of screen it's just blue red and green dots that are there will that spread and should I fix it now or is it okay I really hope it doesn't spread

    iPhone 11 Pro Does Not Turn On

    So I bought a refurbished iPhone 11 pro from Back Market and it didn't turn on. I contacted the seller and they said I could return it, but I want to try to resolve it on my own first. Just to let you know beforehand, the phone does appear to be in perfect condition however that's from my view.

    So far, I tried holding the side button for about 20-30 minutes. I also tried restarting it with once again holding the side button for 20-30 minutes a good amount of times. I did that while charging the phone too. Only once did something display, and that showed a red battery but no charging sign. It hasn't appeared ever since after multiple tries.

    I have charged the phone for 15-30 minutes. I do notice the phone gets a little warm during charging but that's about it. Nothing appears on the screen and there's no audio coming from the phone.

    If someone could help or let me know possible reasons of my issue I would appreciate it.

    Can I backup my iPhone XSMax if the screen is black? It's powered up, but the screen will not come on. I'm an old lady and need help please :)

    I want to make sure it's all backed up before I get a new phone, as this one seems to have gone tits up. I checked my iCloud on my MacBook and the photos from the last 4 days are not on there.

    I tried the "tap up volume/tap down volume/press power button down" - to no avail. :( Whilst doing that, I inadvertently triggered the emergency call feature alarm much to the chagrin of my husband who was doing a Zoom interview in the next room.. Also, upon taking my case off, there are a few small cracks on the back of the phone. No idea how long those have been there as I haven't removed the case in months. Not sure that has anything to do with the black screen.

    Am I just out of luck? Not sure if it's a hardware or software issue. so crossposting if that's ok!

    Be gentle please, I'm an older lady and trying to keep up with tech, so I may not have tried all there is - which is why I am relying on you kind folks to help me.

    ETA: I plugged my iPhone into my Mac and it's not even showing up in the Finder :(

    Something is Definately Wrong With iOS 15.0.1 on the iPhone 6s - Battery Health Indication Is Impossible.

    Today, without any warning... my iPhone 6s battery health indicator dropped from 84% to a frightening 72% -- triggering iOS`s maintenance mode.

    However I'm starting to believe this is a bug in iOS.

    Because battery life hasn't changed, the phone continues to work fine and iOS says battery is still at peak performance. Something doesn't add up.

    Maybe because the battery isn't original it's measuring the health wrong?

    This much of a battery health drop is just absurd (in fact I believe it's impossible).

    Not receiving notifications for Instagram group messages?

    So I recently moved from Android to an iPhone 13 and ever since I haven't been receiving any notifications from Instagram group DMs on my new device. I get all other notifications from Instagram, including likes, comments, individual DMs, etc.. I even get notifications if someone sends a photo or a link into the group chat, but notifications fail to come through for every other message in that chat. All notifications for Instagram are turned on both in Settings and in the app, so I have no idea what's going on. This is really frustrating since my friends primarily use an Instagram group chat to communicate. Anybody know how to fix this?

    Hello! I am asking on behalf of a relative with an iPhone. They're not very tech savvy and I'm an Android guy, so I'm not sure.

    A while ago they started getting this weird colorful blurry blob on the center bottom of the screen, and it listens to everything they say (we can see it written on the screen).

    I'm not sure how to check what app it is, and I can't tell what it is. It's got me stumped. Is it Siri? Or another app? Can it be disabled?

    I know this is not much to go by, but I hope someone can help us.

    iPhone is silently playing random music from my Apple music library when locked, but no app is running.

    iPhone 7plus. iOS 14.8.

    *OK I started with the obvious, I turned it off and on and it did go away. But I'm still posting this anyway because I'm curious if anyone else has come across this. Is it a feature I don't understand, or is it a bug? And if it happens again, can I make it go away without having to restart the phone?*

    So Apple music was showing on the lock screen. It was showing that it was playing tunes from my music library, with the progress bar counting the time and advancing to the next random song when it ends. But no music was playing. No headphones or airpods were connected. No music app was showing as running when I unlock the phone.

    I quit all apps, locked the screen and it was still there, still progressing through the music. Tried that multiple times. Seemingly no way to make it stop and it was definitely depleting my battery. So I did the restart and it went away.

    It has been possibly over a year since I even opened the Apple music app on this phone, but it is definitely playing music from that library. I looked for an answer online and saw many blaming it on Pandora. I do have Pandora installed but Pandora is not running, and it's definitely not any of my pandora stations, it's my Apple music library.

    I'm on an iPhone 13 Pro Max running 15.1 beta, and I've noticed for the last week or two that my GPS is having trouble staying on track. It bounces between working fine, and being about half a block off track. It's happening in areas where I haven't previously had GPS issues (with previous iPhones) and it seems to be an issue using both Apple Maps and Google Maps, so I wonder if it's hardware related. Anyone else having issues?
