    Feels like something is loose inside, sort of rattling sound when I tap on upper back area of my new iphone SE 2020.

    Hi, I got a new SE2020 yesterday, I ordered it online and was delivered to me. It was that type of delivery where the delivery executive would open the parcel in front of me and then only I accept the device if its in intact condition. It was indeed in intact condition.

    Now here are two issues that bugged me, first one is the when I slightly tapped on the back area above the apple logo of the phone, it makes a slight noise as if something is loose inside, a slight rattling sound I hear. And second one is the silent switch which tends to be loose when its on mute.

    The first issue about that slight rattling bothers me a lot, is it normal or should I request replacement from that online store? Apparently the return window ends in 7 days.

    Notes App gone!

    Today i went to go to my notes app, and the app was gone. I thought maybe it got accidentally moved to a folder or something, and searched my phone, and it showed that it wasn't even on my phone anymore (showing the download from cloud icon).

    So I reinstalled it, and all my notes are gone. I thought that maybe those notes were stored on my ipad, and reinstalling would bring them back. But they're all gone.

    That's really frustrating, I never deleted my Notes app, and have no idea why it would have just disappeared. I recently upgraded to IOS 15.0.1, so unless that buggered something up and removed the notes app.

    Lightning port fixed by upgrading iOS?

    My wife and I got our son his first iPhone today. In a hurry I used my itunes acct on his phone. I didn't realize that it would put all of my contacts and photos onto his phone. I them erased all of the contacts and most of the photos from his phone not realizing that it would also erase them from mine. Please if there's any way to get them back it was like 3 years worth of photos.

    Contacts imported from outlook got merged automatically

    I bought a iphone 12 mini and I added my Microsoft account to it. I am moving from an iPhone 7. My contacts were appearing perfectly fine in my iPhone 7.

    I had moved to the iPhone 7 from a Lumia 920 and all my contacts had come into the iPhone 7 by just adding the microsoft/outlook account. The default account for adding new contacts was outlook so all my contacts were there. So I added my outlook account to my iphone12 mini and yes all my iPhone 7 contacts instantly appeared in the iPhon12 mini. However, some time later or immediately thereafter (I don't know when), some of my contacts merged with one another.

    For eg I had a person named Nikhil and a different person named Nikhil Khandelwal who were two different persons. They got merged into a single contact.

    I went to the edit contact button to see if they got linked in which case I would simple remove the linking but it doesn't show any linked contacts there.

    I checked my iPhone 7 and the contacts have got merged in my iPhone 7 as well.

    I checked my outlook account by logging in and the contacts have got merged there as well.

    In none of the places am I getting the option to unmerge or unlink the contacts and they appear as a single contact only.

    How do I undo this entire process? I don't know whose number is whose now and I don't want to call everyone up to verify this and save new contacts.

    I recently got an iPhone 13 and, whenever I take a picture on Instagram, it adds a smooth, almost glossy filter to the image. It's not there when I'm taking it, it seems to apply it once I've taken the photo. It looks like some sort of beauty filter, making your face smoother, but I'd like to get rid of it. Any help is appreciated.

    Sim situation

    So recently my main phone(iPhone 6s Plus) has suddenly stopped working, as of now I am borrowing my brothers old phone(iPhone 6s) I switched out my SIM card to his 6s but none of my photos seemed to save, my new phone is on its way right now (new SE) and I'm worried that the stuff from my 6s plus won't transfer to my new one.

    iPhone 11 PRO battery max capacity issue

    iPhone 11 PRO bought a year and 2 months ago with battery maximum capacity of 83% already. I have had other iPhones in the past and have never seen it this low after a year of use. Is there a known issue with the 11s or it's because of my habits?

    3D Touch on iPhone X Running iOS 15

    So my iPhone X is still running iOS13, and I would like to update to get some features and new Watch OS. So I'm wondering if 3D Touch is still available on iOS 15 for iPhone X&XS(models that support 3D Touch instead of Haptic Touch).     Some photos have location, some don’t.

    Silly question, some photos that people ( my s/o) send have location and some don't. Even pics taken at the same place and one day apart, one will have location and one will not.

    Frustrating Apple Store Experience + Repair Question

    I have an iPhone 11 with a cracked front screen. Screen has been cracked for a few weeks and it's 100% functional, except once in a blue moon I get phantom screen presses. Booked an appointment at the local Apple Store for a screen replacement and showed up.

    Despite having an appointment, it took 35 minutes for a repair guy to come help out. Once he did, he ran the software validations, checked that there was no water damage, etc, and it was ~5 minutes until they'd taken the phone to the back.

    I came back two hours later to learn that there was internal water damage that they couldn't see until they opened up the device. They didn't do the screen repair, and addressing that bumps the repair cost from $200 to $400. Any idea why the repair jumps so high? A brand new 11 is down to ~$450 now, so paying $400 to repair the device seems insane. It's wasteful to get rid of an otherwise functional phone and I don't want to purchase a new one, so I'll get it repaired elsewhere this weekend.

    Safari is taking up over 8GB, despite me deleting all history and reading list. Is this a kind of ploy by iPhone to make me buy more space? I also tried deleting Safari, but it merely removes it from the home menu. Any help? It’s getting annoying seeing “you need more space”

    iPhone x won't turn on

    My phone randomly stopped turning on and when I plug it in to charge it vibrates but nothing pops up on the screen. I've also tried to reboot my phone but nothing happens. When I plug it into iTunes a popup comes up saying "There is a problem with the iPhone that requires it to be updated or restored." Does anyone know what might've caused this issue? I was on IOS 13.7.

    Anyone Else's 2020 iPhone SE Absolute Garbage?

    Some colorful descriptions here because I'm in the middle of fighting with it, but I am at my wits' fucking end with my iPhone SE 2020 and its endless supply of problems:

    • Randomly will not charge when on lightning charger, charging pads, USB-C fast chargers, car chargers, will at times gain 0% charge over 30+ minutes or will even lose charge while on charger-- all with no consistency or clear cause, entirely a roll of the dice
    • Hemorrhages battery life
    • Service/data/wifi all woefully inconsistent, will have outages in all areas seemingly at random, will have difficulty connecting to and staying connected to wireless networks while six feet away from the router (which my nearly decade old MacBook Pro connects to without fail)
    • Haptic/touch recognition is atrocious to the point of being borderline unusable, spend more time correcting misinterpreted swipes or taps than actually successfully using the fucking thing
    • I've had no fewer than five separate diagnostics run and nobody can find any problems

    Can anybody else corroborate or shed light on this? Did I just randomly get a lemon? Should I upgrade? I dailied a 5 and 7 for years apiece before this SE and never had these kinds of issues with them.

    I have an SE and I updated my phone to IOS 15.1 but turns out an app I need for work doesn't work with that update. What can I do?

    It says the owner of the app needs to develop it to work with this version of IOS

    Alarm makes no sound
